FPL GW11 Review Notes
- Liverpool had a cracking game at Anfield against City where they beat their rival by 1-0. Mo Salah played brilliantly and had the highest xG of 0.73 in the game. He played centrally most of the time. He had another one-on-one (other than the goal) that was denied by Ederson superbly.
- Darwin played only 17 mins but had the highest xGi 0.87 in the game. If he had been less selfish Salah could’ve got a bigger haul this week. For Man City, Haaland had two chances (both difficult) but was kept in control by Liverpool’s defense most of the time. Foden’s goal was canceled by VAR.
- Potter keeps his 100% winning record as a Chelsea manager. Mount looked sharp in the attacks for them. He was gifted a goal by Mings (right place at the right time goal). The other one was a free-kick goal.
- Aston Villa managed to get the 2nd highest team xG of 2.45 but couldn’t score past Kepa against Chelsea this week. Bailey had the highest xA of this week among all players.
- With so much happening in the game between Arsenal and Leeds, The Gunners were lucky to get the Cleansheet. Leeds had 2.02 team xG in the game and missed a penalty. Saka scored a beautiful goal from a tight angle. He’s certainly one to watch for bringing in GW13.
- Newcastle hit the woodwork twice against Man United. Man United had two easy chances late in the game to steal it but Rashford and Fred failed to do so. Trippier hasn’t blanked for 5 games in a row.
- Brentford had a brilliant comeback after their heavy defeat to Newcastle last week. They beat Brighton at their home 2-0 where Toney was the best player on the pitch. Toney had the 2nd highest xG of this week with 1.35 (npxG 0.59). Oneyaka had the highest xA of 0.59 for them.
- Raya had one of the best games of the season so far with a whopping 10 points. Brighton was good in the attacks but just couldn’t outplay the individual brilliance of Raya. With all the talk of Webster this, Webster that, the other CB of Brighton Dunk had the highest xG of 0.69 for them this week. Very few matched the xA of Groß this week who had an xA of 0.74. Trossard did not have a good game but he is a brilliant one-week punt for GW12.
- Crystal Palace looked vulnerable a number of times in the game, especially on their right side. Barnes had a good game and had the highest xG 0.48 for his team. Maddison was shown a yellow at 93’ for a dive in the opponent’s penalty box. He will miss GW12. Check out- Maddison- Hold Or Sell? | Best Replacements Ahead Of FPL GW12
- Guaita was impressive and thanks to him Crystal Palace managed to keep the Clean Sheet this week. Zaha’s performance was so poor against Leicester and he got subbed off at 79’.
- Despite being a doubt, Mitrovic started the game and scored from a penalty. Billing and Solanke also had a brilliant game this week. Billing had the highest xA 0.43 in the squad. Solanke had the 2nd highest xGi 0.60 for Bournemouth with 1 goal and 1 assist.
- A familiar name on the xG, xA list Kane had the highest xG 1.40 (npxG 0.64) not only for Spurs but also among all teams. Kane took 7 shots in the game against Everton. He has returned in every single gameweek after the very first one. Perisic and Doherty also had a good game. Perisic had the highest xA 0.54 in the team. Everton had their chances in the first half but could not finish.
FPL GW11 Review Summary
- Highest xG: Harry Kane 1.40
- Highest xA: Bailey 1.05
- Highest xG by a team: Tottenham 2.49
