Reguilon (0 points) to Alonso (7 points) ✅
A perfect 3/3 for the DGW36 transfer trends! We move onto DGW37!
Top Transfers Ins and Outs Ahead of FPL DGW37
Dennis (333k) leads the top transfers out this gameweek after the announcement of a knee injury. Salah follows in 2nd place, with 243k managers looking for other premium asset options. Laporte’s knock sees 120k managers replace the City defender despite rewarding owners with a 14 point haul in DGW36.
Mount is shipped out by 115k managers ahead of the deadline, and Saka rounds up the top transfers out with 109k managers replacing the Arsenal attacker.
On the flip side, Richarlison is the hottest prospect heading into DGW37, with 227k managers eager to target Everton’s double fixture. Zaha makes an interesting appearance on the list, with 225k managers putting their faith in his and Palace’s double.
Nketiah once again makes it to the top transfers list with another 214k managers impressed with his stellar 15 point haul in DGW36. Son is brought in by another 187k managers amidst his red hot form. Finally, Villa forward Danny Ings finds himself transferred in by 170k managers as Villa face a favourable double in DGW37.
The 3 transfer combinations we will be focusing on are: Dennis to Richarlison, Laporte to Cash, and Mount to Zaha.
Top Three FPL DGW37 Transfer Trends Combinations
FPL DGW37 Transfer Combination 1:
Emmanuel Dennis (£5.9) to Richarlison (£7.6)
Dennis‘ knee injury has prompted 34% of managers to already make the switch to Everton forward Richarlison.
Richarlison continues to lead in the statistics among all forwards. In the last 6 gameweeks, he is the best for total shots (28), shots on target (12), shots in the box (24), big chances (6), and touches in the box (57). In the last 8 Premier League fixtures, Richarlison has produced 6 returns, including 4 goals and 2 assists.
Being on penalties and playing an advanced position, Richarlison would be a great pick in the forward selection. Among teams that double in DGW37, Everton’s fixtures are among the better picks. Despite being out of the relegation zone, Everton will want to chase good results to affirm their place in the Premier League for next season.
Who do Everton face in DGW37?
Everton play Brentford and Crystal Palace at home in DGW37. Both teams concede more goals in away games than in home games this season, as indicated by their xGC:
Brentford xGC at home: 1.08
Brentford xGC away: 1.81
Crystal Palace xGC at home: 0.98
Crystal Palace xGC away: 1.36
*stats from Fantasy Football Hub
According to Drafthound, Brentford have 22% odds of keeping a clean sheet, and Crystal Palace have 27% odds of keeping a clean sheet(Odds via Drafthound). Relatively lower odds of keeping a clean sheet. These fixtures make it worth selecting Richarlison in the forward lineup for teams heading into DGW37.
FPL DGW37 Transfer Combination 2:
Aymeric Laporte (£6.0) to Matthew Cash (£5.3)
Laporte owners rejoiced in DGW36 after claiming a 14 point haul in the double; unfortunately, his injury doubt has left 23.5% of managers to look to the Villa defense in the form of Matty Cash.
In the last 6 gameweeks, no other Villa defender comes close to Cash for total shots (5), shots on target (4), shots in the box (3), xG (0.63), and xGI (0.9).
Digne appears to be slightly more susceptible to possible rotation, given his recent return from injury. AbuBakar Siddiq (@BigManBakar) on Twitter once again provides a strong case for picking Cash over Digne here:
Who do Aston Villa face in DGW37?
Aston Villa play Crystal Palace and Burnley at home in DGW37. According to Drafthound, both teams have 23% odds of keeping a clean sheet against Villa. Relatively low odds. It is worth noting that Burnley have been one of the leakier defenses in the league this season, second worst for total shots and shots in the box conceded this season in away games.
Villa have a pair of favourable fixtures to target in DGW37, with Cash being a standout pick in the defense.
FPL DGW37 Transfer Combination 3:
Mason Mount (£7.7) to Wilfried Zaha (£6.9)
Although Mount claimed a generous haul in DGW36, 34.3% of managers are quick to move him to a bit of a differential in the form of Palace midfielder Zaha.
Zaha has remained relatively under the radar this entire season as an FPL asset. However, we begin seeing slight glimpses of form and underlying numbers that could suggest returns in the final few fixtures of the season.
Statistically, he is best among all midfielders in the last 6 gameweeks for shots on target (10), xGI (0.9), and xG (0.65). He also ranks 3rd best for shots in the box (15).
While Vieira may have a tendency to rotate players, Zaha remains relatively nailed, most likely given his talismanic role in the team. His penalty-taking duty should most certainly boost his favour. At 9.6% ownership, he could be a good differential to chase.
Who do Crystal Palace face in DGW37?
Palace play Aston Villa and Everton away in DGW37. Looking at Villa’s xGC, Villa tend to concede more goals at home (1.41) than away (1.31). In fact, Villa have conceded 27 goals, only keeping 5 clean sheets in all home games this season. Everton have done a slightly better job, conceding only 20 goals and keeping 6 clean sheets in their home games.
Out of the Palace squad, Zaha presents the most nailed differential option that managers could consider taking a punt on to chase in rank.
That has been 3 potential transfer combinations that FPL managers could consider prior to the Double Gameweek 37 deadline. Hope this blog provided a bit of insight on viable FPL moves you could take!
