FPL GW32 Differential Picks(<10% TSB)

Kai Havertz vs Southampton(A)

If you were to be asked to list down the most in-form players in the league, Kai Havertz is likely to be in the top five at the very least. Indeed, scoring 4 goals and assisting another in the last 4 matches helps us to be sure of his form, as managers.

It is not just in the league that Havertz is showing his class. The German was the lone warrior for Chelsea against Real Madrid in the Champions League. He scored a goal and was a constant threat in the opposition’s penalty area. The Chelsea man has 7 goals in his last 10 matches across all competitions.

Chelsea take on Southampton in FPL GW32, a team that is winless in 4 matches. In this time, the Saints have conceded 13 big chances, only Newcastle have conceded more, but the Magpies have played a game more. In fact, Ralph Hassenhuttl’s men are the fourth-worst in the league for big chances given away(70) across the campaign. This could be a match made in heaven for FPL managers.

Numbers Game- Kai Havertz

  • Scored his first ever Premier League goal against Southampton
  • Second best for xG/90 and BC/90 since GW28
  • Second best for shots in the box in that time
  • Best nPxG since FPL GW28

Matt Doherty vs Aston Villa(A)

What was supposed to happen at the beginning of the season is happening now. Matt Doherty, being played in his favorite position is proving himself to be at the levels of the likes of Trent, Robertson level for us managers in FPL. Since returning to the starting eleven on Matchday 27, The Irishman has registered two goals and 4 assists in 6 matches. In fact, since then, he is joint top with Harry Kane for points in FPL with 70 points.

Stats of key defenders since Gameweek 27 ~FFHUB

Quite extraordinarily, Doherty is top for big chances, xG, Goals, even xA and assists among defenders since his return to the Spurs starting eleven. Adding on to that he is way ahead of the next best defender for BPS and Xpts in that time.

Meanwhile, Spurs’ FPL GW32 opponents Aston Villa are on a three-game losing streak. Only Everton, Burnley, and Newcastle have given away more goals in this time. Furthermore, no team has conceded more % of chances down the left-hand side than Aston Villa in the league across the season. Doherty would be looking to exploit exactly that.

Spurs have an amazing run of fixtures through till the end of the season. Their fixture list is filled with greenery. Six of their eight remaining matchups have an FDR rating of 2. Now is the time to triple up on Spurs and Doherty is by far and away the best option from their side after Kane and Son.

Kelechi Iheanacho vs Crystal Palace(H)

It is about this time of the year last season when Kelechi Iheanacho was on a hot streak and tore teams apart. In the last couple of games, we’ve seen hints of that player coming back to life again. If you were to analyze the Nigerian’s Premier League career, it is clear to see that he is a streak player.

Let us now take a look at some interesting numbers. Across the last four matches, Iheanacho has registered an xG of 1.24 with 3 big chances. No other Leicester player has had more big chances in that time.

Brendan Rodgers’ men have winnable fixtures all the way through the end of the season. Seven out of their next ten games have an FDR rating of 2. They also have three double GWs on the horizon.

Key Stats- Kelechi Iheanacho

Cucho Hernandez vs Leeds(H)

If anyone saw Watford’s performance at Anfield, they would know that the Hornets are far from being out of their relegation battle. Roy Hodgson has certainly made Watford a more solid well rounded outfit. They have picked up 7 points from their last 7 matches.

One player who has played a key role in attack for the Hornets in recent weeks is Cucho Hernandez. The striker has registered 3 goals and an assist in the last 4 matches. Among players priced under 7 million, Cucho has the fifth best xG(1.48) since GW28, and the thirteenth best overall.

Fabian Schar vs Wolves(A)

FPL GW32 kicks off with Newcastle’s trip to Molineaux. The Magpies have gone into a slump in recent weeks. They have lost three games in a row. To be fair to them two of those have come against big six opposition. Before this run, they had gone on a nine game unbeaten run. Eddie Howe’s men would be looking to go on that kind of run again in the next 3 Gameweeks, as they have a kind run of games. After playing Wolves in FPL GW32, Newcastle have three games on the trot with an FDR rating of 2.

Fabian Schar has been a constant feature since the new manager has come in. The Swizz international has registered 2 goals and 2 assists this campaign. In fact, since FPL GW27, Only Doherty(55) and Cash(47) have registered more points in FPL than Fabian Schar(34). He is also fourth on the list for BPS in that time.

After playing 4 games in a row away from home, Newcastle will play the next three games at home. They play teams who either struggle for goals(Wolves, Norwich) or struggle for points away from home(Leicester, Crystal Palace. As a result of which the chances of keeping clean sheets in each of these matches are high.

FPL GW32 Ultra Differential Pick

Maxwel Cornet vs Norwich(A)

After starting the season off on fire Cornet’s form had dipped until last night. After scoring 5 goals in his first 8 matches, Cornet registered just 1 goal in his next 11 appearances. However, last he pulled off a dramatic victory for Burnley against Everton wherein he got himself a goal and an assist.

Stats suggest that Cornet’s form was improving even prior to last night. Between GW27-30 the Ivorian had an xG of 0.83 and 2 big chances, both of which were more than any of his compatriots. Furthermore, the midfielder is top for xG, big chances and shots in box for Burnley through the course of the campaign.

Burnley have an incredible run of games coming up. All but one of their remaining nine games have an FDR rating of 3 or below. Six of them have the rating as 2. They also have two double gameweeks up their sleeve. Therefore, now is the time to invest on their assets.
