Team Reveal and Tips for the 2021/22 FPL Season from FPL Experts:
1. Who got the Assist?- Tom(@WGTA_FPL):
Who got the Assist is one of the best podcasts(if not the best) out there to help FPL Managers. Do check them out if you have not already!
WGTA Tom Team Reveal:
WGTA Tom Tips for FPL 2021/22 season:
- Stubbornness only hurts you. As we’ve seen with players like Bamford, Lingard and Ings in past seasons you get heroes from unlikely sources in FPL: Don’t write players like these off in they start producing based on past perceptions. You may get the “moral high ground” but you’ll lose out on points.
- FPL life is a rollercoaster. You’ll have ups, you’ll have downs. You’ll probably have experienced many seasons by now. Use that experience to guard against being overly upset by a bad week – and complacency when you have a good one.
- Remember it’s a game. If you aren’t enjoying it and it’s affecting your mood in real life – step away. It’s the right thing to do.
- Avoid Saturday morning transfers. You’re often stressed and susceptible to falling prey to fake news and over-estimating the influence of rumours. I prefer to make my moves on Friday after the press conferences and make sure I’m “locked in” by the evening – otherwise I’m still making decisions late on and mistakes can potentially creep in if I haven’t settled on my side.
- Avoid rage transfers. We’ve all been there. We’ve all done it. It almost never ends well. If you’re seeing red, don’t open the app, don’t take it out on your team. The only one who loses will be you.
2. FPL Zhou (@ZhouFPL):
Zhou has been an FPL player since 2008 and is one of the most respected managers on FPL Twitter with 5x Top 1% past 6yrs. Zhou ended the 2019/20 FPL season with an Overall Rank of 6.5k and 2020/21 season with 23.5k.
FPL Zhou Team Reveal for 2021/22 season:
Zhou’s justification for the players selected:
- Bachmann: Mostly a gut feel, but I trust they have a good system which got them that defensive record last system, with the same guys & same system, they should continue their record.
- Shaw: Need I say more? Their new set piece coach should give them better results.
- TAA: Nothing much need to be said.
- Digne: My only concern in the team, might not be finalised. But I believe Benitez will tighten up the defense and utilize Digne more, hopefully on Set Pieces.
- Barnes: Only 7m, plays really direct, trigger happy, confident player. Great pre-season, seems like he is back to his pre-injury form. Should be nailed too.
- Bruno: Looked great during pre-season, looks match fit, loves to shoot, great FK goal. Sancho in the team should boost Bruno’s attack.
- Salah: Need I say more? Loves playing newly promoted teams, another HT on GW1?
- Benrahma: Looked electric in pre-season, some tipped him as Payet’s 2nd coming. With Lingard gone, the spot is his to lose. Exciting player.
- Toney: An exciting player. Judge from his interviews, he is a very confident and can’t wait to start the PL. Seems to have a point to prove, a person that wants to play every minute of every game (reminds me of Kane). Super nailed. Hope he does well.
- Ings: Another great finisher of the ball. Don’t require much chances as we know. With Buendia, Watkins & Bailey supporting him, could see him flourish to his highest potential.
- Antonio: Having another banger of a pre-season. Seems to link well with Benrahma & having a good chemistry. Could see him pick up where he left off, racking up goals with monster xGs

FPL Hints Tips for FPL 2021/22 season:
You’ve prepped all summer and here you are – on the cusp of going through the motions of living your fantasy football dreams or having them vaporized before Gameweek 1 even ends! There isn’t really a one-size fits all piece of advice that I can give as everyone has different mind-sets when playing FPL. But assuming that you want to do fairly well and have hit roadblocks in the past, there are certain things that you can do. So to put it simply, if you want to finish in the Top 10k you need to think like a Top 10k manager. Who are they likely to captain? What moves are they likely to make? Of course, you are in complete control of your team and you shouldn’t by default defer to the experts. But the reality is that you need to play the game the way it should be played and not necessarily the way you want to play it. This may sound controversial to many but just think about it for a moment. Every scenario is different and may have multiple pathways which means the game needs to be played in a specific way for bespoke situations. If you can figure out what needs to be done with informed choices then I have no doubt that you will make a success of it.
As for my Gameweek 1 team, I won’t be sharing it before the deadline in full. But what I can say is that effective ownership (EO) will play a big part in who I pick and who I captain from start to finish. For me this means safety first, being risk averse and not going against the grain as the default. Captain Salah against Norwich? Of course, if he is fit. Shaw and Bruno? Well look at those percentages! However, that isn’t to say that I won’t have some differentials but I feel that they will be accommodated indirectly as the final pieces of the jigsaw without me going out on scout-mode to look for them. All of the above is simply my opinion, of course. I know only as much as you in fairness and we can only hope that our decisions are correct on a week by week basis. With that in mind, good luck for the season ahead!

FPL Teach Mode Team Reveal for FPL 2021/22 season:
FPL Teach Mode Strategy and Tips for FPL 2021/22 season:
Here it is. I feel like the plethora of options in midfield right now has led me to going five in the middle. Having three ‘premiums’ also gives me the option downgrade one to Lukaku/Kane if the opportunity arises. My early thought process is to WC in GW7 but I’m flexible. My advice would be to be patient and roll your FT ahead of GW2. There will always be a bandwagon after the first week that makes no sense so avoid it and play smart.
5. FPL Banger- Fantasy Premier League Podcast(@FPL_Banger):
FPL Banger Podcast courtesy, Sam and Siva are one of the best upcoming Podcasts about Fantasy Football where they analyze the best FPL picks weekly and posts amazing threads on Twitter.
FPL Banger Team Reveal for GW1:
Rank History:
5x Top 100k and 3x Top 20k
My current draft focuses on players who have strong opening fixtures. Getting off to a good start is crucial in FPL as the template sets in quickly. As I expect to play my wildcard by around GW7 when a few teams see their fixture difficulty shift, I can afford to play aggressively at the beginning.
FPL Banger Tips for FPL 2021/22 season:
- Read match reports and player ratings as much as possible, if you are not able to watch highlights or matches. Stats are great but will not capture everything – for example, disallowed goals are not factored in xG calculations.
- Be patient, make your transfers as late as possible. Do not make rage transfers on a Saturday night after your captain has blanked. Sleep on it – information is king. And in an era where a player can be ruled out suddenly on the day of a match, you don’t want to be caught out.
- Something which I’m often guilty of is checking my live rank after each game. Try not to do that. It isn’t useful, we play this game for 38 weeks. Don’t stress yourself over your live rank after 1 game.

6. FPL Cheetah(@FPL_Cheetah):
FPL Cheetah is a Manchester City fan with 2 top 50k finishes in the last two seasons and one of the nicest guys offering FPL tips to managers on Twitter.
FPL Cheetah Team Reveal:
FPL Cheetah Tips for the season:
- Don’t overload on premium players. Plan ahead and avoid too many hits but be flexible.
- Differentials are overrated, don’t pick players just because they’re low owned. If they don’t have the potential to score higher than the high owned ones they’re not worth it.
- Don’t avoid Salah. He’s kind of an essential pick for me, I wouldn’t advice going without him.
- Have fun and don’t get too caught up in the ups and down during the season. Easy to say but we have to remember at the end of the day it’s only a game.
7. FPL Meta (@FPLmeta):
Meta is one of the most respected FPL managers on twitter and finished the 2019/20 FPL Season with an OR of 2500 and 2020/21 FPL season with OR- 23k. Don’t forget to check out Elevenify– Skill-Based Lineup Predictions for Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool – Stat Radar Charts – Fixture Difficulty Ratings.
FPL Meta Team Reveal for 2021/22 season:
FPL Meta Strategy and Tips for 2021/22 FPL season:
- The Robbo injury has opened up a whole new set of possibilities for squad creation and I think the lure of a 4m starting defender for Liverpool is too good to turn down. In short, Tsimikas enables a uniquely strong starting 11 and think this should be taken advantage of.
- Salah and Fernandes comfortably cover the captaincy options for the first 8 weeks.
- I believe we are in a somewhat unique position with knowing which Man City assets will start due to injuries and many assets not getting a full preseason. For this reason, I have gone with Mahrez and Gundogan because I think they are nailed for the first few games and therefore should represent good value due to the minutes they will receive.
- The combination of Tsimikas, a weak bench and two city assets may mean the early WC is incredibly likely with this draft. However, I think there are also other factors which might make earlier WC this season stronger such as Lukaku + Kane getting settled, fixture swings for Chelsea.
8. FPL Architect(@FPL_Architect):
FPL Architect is a Swedish FPL fan who posts for his threads, tips about FPL. He finished 2020/21 FPL season at 11K Overall Rank and is well known in Twitter for his Weekly GW thread, Weekly Captaincy Panel thread.
FPL Architect Team Reveal:
FPL Architect Strategy and Tips for the season:
- My current draft is quite template, combined with a few differential picks. Trent and Shaw are musts in the backline, I have added Ayling, Veltman and Tsimikas who all look like good value for money.
- In midfield Bruno and Salah are the safe picks, Mahrez and Barnes a bit more differential. 5th mid is the always exciting Raphinha.
- I have gone for 2 forwards, Michail Antonio with the highest npxG/90 of all strikers last season and Ivan Toney, the Brentford talisman.
- One tip for the season: Try to be flexible. Avoid being biased and instead be able to change your opinion based on new information you receive.
9. FPL Goat(@FPLGOAT7) :
FPL Goat is a great manager and a very well respected guy in the community for his tips and interactions, weekly threads and captaincy article. He has had a great FPL history with consistent finishes in the top tier.
FPL Goat Team Reveal for the season:
FPL Goat Strategy for 2021/22 season:
Trent, TAA, Shaw, Bruno, Salah, Antonio Ings, Raphinha are probably locked in my team Sanchez could become Bachmann, Veltman or White could become Ayling I’m not set on Toney and Jota at the moment, Might downgrade Toney and upgrade Jota to Mahrez but that the 4th Midfield and 3rd Forward slot is still undecided.
