Euro Fantasy MD3 Differentials: Fancy a Flutter on the Final Group Game

So far this tournament, manager’s have not been rewarded for going with the template. And if you a trailing in a mini league, it seems like the perfect time to go for a differential. Here I will look at 6 players, 2 from each position, that can give you an edge on opposing managers ahead of Euro Fantasy MD3.

Euro Fantasy MD3 Differentials- Defenders

Robin Gosens (HUN), £5.0, TSB: 2%

Euro Fantasy MD3 Differentials- Gosens
The full back has been in good form for his Country, and seems nailed for the trip to the Allianz

After watching the German against France earlier this week, I am set on him as a Fantasy Asset. The Full Back was constantly getting Forward to support attacks, and was delivering some great crosses. This is backed up by 11 Goals & 6 Assists in Serie A this season.

Looking at the fixture, most would think the Clean Sheet is nailed; Hungary have offered nothing going forward thus far this tournament, and I don’t see that changing. The Germans defence is often strong, only conceding 8 Goals in Qualifiers (6 were to Holland). So I can see Gosens returning at both ends of the pitch, making him a great option!

Ricardo Rodríguez (TUR), £5.5, TSB: 2%

Euro Fantasy MD3 Differentials- Rodriguez
An attacking Full Back who faces a poor Turkey side, possibly his time to shine

So far, Rodríguez has been underwhelming this tournament, not offering a lot in terms of points. However, I still think he’s a great option. The Swiss has created 4 chances in 2 games, taking 1 shot in the process. These attacking numbers are promising, and I suspect these numbers will soar.

He faces an abysmal Turkey side, who were tipped to be a dark horse this tournament. They have conceded 40 shots and 34 chances in the Group so far, awful stats. They have also lacked creativity, not looking like scoring at all this tournament. Thus I think a Double Digit Haul could be on the card for Rodríguez.

Euro Fantasy MD3 Differentials- Midfielders

Serge Gnabry (HUN), £9.5, TSB: 3%

Euro Fantasy MD3 Differentials- Gnabry
Gnabry and Germany will look to target Hungary

What a journey this man has had; from West Brom to Bayern! Now a main stay in the side, and arguably the biggest threat. 10 Goals & 5 Assists this season, he is often used in breakaways, with his pace of the LW being devastating.

As mentioned, we should all be looking to target Hungary. They conceded 11 shots and 9 chances at an xG of 2.52, so they were real quality chances. Many were on the break, which will suit Gnabry down to a tee. A haul incoming.

Eden Hazard (FIN), £10.0, TSB: 1%

Euro Fantasy MD3 Differentials- Hazard
Hazard has returned from Injury, and will be looking to Cement in his Place for the KOs.

The Belgian has not been an option thus far, but after recovering from injury he impressed against Denmark. An Assist & 2 chances created was enough to catch my eye. His tricky wing player and unpredictability is so dangerous, making him a great option.

He faces a Finland side who conceded 14 shots & 12 chances to Russia, Russia! The worst attack in Matchday 1. This tells me that Belgium will smell blood, and with Hazard wanting to prove his fitness, I see him putting his all into this game. If Martínez chooses to rest players, he may even end up as a false 9!

Xherdan Shaqiri (TUR), £7.0, TSB: 3%

Euro Fantasy MD3 Differentials- Shaqiri
A must win for Switzerland, Shaqiri will look to secure his side a place in the Knockouts.

A disappointing tournament so far, Shaqiri has showed slight promise so far; 1 Assist & 5 chances created highlighting his desire to create for his team. Shaqiri is considered the main man in a poor Switzerland side, so I see him turning up when it counts, with a win putting them through.

They face a Turkey side who have flattered to deceive so far, conceding 5 goals in 2 Group Games. As previously stated, 40 shots conceded! This is one of the worst in the tournament, and I only see it getting worse. I see a decent performance from Shaqiri, one that could easily end in a double digit haul.

Euro Fantasy MD3 Differentials- Forwards

Gerard Moreno (SVK), £6.5, TSB: 9%

Euro Fantasy MD3 Differentials- Moreno
Moreno should be starting soon with Morata’s poor form

Surprisingly the highest owned out of all the names mentioned, Moreno is yet to start for Spain so far. But with Spain possibly looking to rotate and Morata in awful form, I see him starting in MD3. 30 Goals & 11 Assists in 46 games is a great total, so he is certainly good enough to lead the line.

He faces a Slovakia side who have performed well so far, but I still think Spain will have too much for them. Generally, they are quite strong defensively, only conceding 12 Goals in Qualifying, but 7 of those were to Croatia. This highlights their frailties against quality sides, so I see Moreno having fun here.
