With the 19/20 FPL season coming to an end, every decision we make has an added importance. So this article we’ll provide with the tips and advice need to navigate the next few weeks and finish your season in a high. In this article you can find:
1. Teams and players to target
2. Manchester dilemmas
Teams to target for the Run In(FPL GW36 ~ GW38)
West Ham:
With 3 games to go the hammers are looking to finish, what has been a fantastic season, with European qualification. The question is: for the Champions League or Europa League?
Rice’s injury before the Wolverhampton game has seen the team’s overall defensive numbers fall a bit. However, they are still a good defense and an overall good team. 3 good fixtures but the ones I think should be targeted heavily are the last two (at least from an attacking point of view). I’ve seen a lot of people fall into the trap of believing that just Dunk’s and Veltman’s injury makes Brighton an easy game. This is not the case, the team is still there, the system that made only concede 41 goals is still there. For this reason, I’d hold the trigger on buying Antonio since I prefer the attacking options available from our next club.

Leeds United:
Despite being as the FPL community loves to call it “on the beach” Bielsa’s men will certainly want to give a show to their fans that have waited 20 years to see them play premier league football at Elland road. “El Loco”, as he is nicknamed by his players and friends, has confirmed today that Raphinha, Rodrigo, and Kalvin Phillips are all fit but don´t expect them to be right back to the team. These are some good news for people looking to bring in Leeds players as they are almost back to full strength.
All my Bamford owners and possible buyers be aware that in the past few games we’ve seen him being subbed off earlier than usual. Personally, this doesn’t put me off and I will once again buy the English striker Using the same line of thinking as I used with West Ham, I advise waiting until next week to recruit Leeds’ defensive options as they haven´t kept a clean sheet in their last 9 away games.

Liverpool:
The top 4 is in their hands, amazing fixtures once again. Since Fabinho returned to the midfield Klopp’s men have been, being unlucky in quite a few performances. A triple-up was and still is a great option, hold it! I get the jota frustration however he’s getting a bigger volume of chances, just not being as clinical, goals will come!

Everton:
A recent away win at the London stadium put Everton back in the mix. Good fixtures but be careful! In the past set of weeks, a lot of people have been contemplating their defensive and midfield options. My experience tells me DCL is enough, they are really inconsistent and hard to predict. Only 5 of their 16 wins in the league have come at home…

Target list of players to consider for the Run In(FPL GW36 ~ GW38)
Here are, In my opinion, the best options in each position. Note that I didn’t include goalkeepers since I don’t think transfers in that position are worth it at this stage of the season.
Defensive options:
1- Trent Alexander Arnold
2- Vladimir Coufal
3- Stuart Dallas
Midfield options:
1- Raphinha
2- Riyad Mahrez
3- Phil Foden
Honorable mentions: Saint-Maximin and Lingard
Attacking options:
1-Bamford
2-DCL
3-Antonio
Honorable mention: Chris Wood
FPL Eze has made a great article on these attacking options, covering their stats and helping you with the decision of which one you should pick.
Manchester dilemmas:
Our teams are full of players from this wonderful city. To help you out I decided to give my opinion on what assets you should buy or drop.
Starting in the red side of Manchester, a lot of managers are pondering on what they should do with their midfield Portuguese maestro. It’s my humble opinion that it’s worth selling the Portuguese. I expect two blanks from him in the remaining fixtures, one next week and the other from the Wolves game since United play their Europa League final three days later.
Addressing the other highly owned united assets, I’ll be keeping Greenwood for the foreseeable since I think he won’t start in the final and is easier to hold than Fernandes. If you are lucky enough to have picked a united defender that isn’t Maguire, I’d also consider selling if you don’t have other fires to put out.
Tomorrow the recently crowned champions are playing at St James and the home team stats have been the topic of a lot of discussions, in particular their right-hand side fragilities. This has caused Mahrez and Foden to turn into hot property overnight. I can´t argue about the stats and they are definitely great options for this week but be aware that I expect them to be rested vs Brighton next week. Don’t sell your house to get them, one is enough!
