Merry Christmas to all fpl managers out there. Boxing Day is upon us already and it’s time to endure the most stressful period of the season in FPL. But this period also gives us an opportunity to rack up points aplenty as games come thick and fast. As we keep stressing, this is the time to get your differentials spot on as it could be make or break for managers. In this blog we give you our five differential picks for FPL GW15.
As usual, our differential article has five players with all of them having less than 10% ownership and have a high chance of returning for that particular GW and beyond. Check out our top differential options for FPL GW15 below!

FPL GW15 Differential picks
Anwar El Ghazi vs Crystal Palace (H), £5.7 TSB: 0.8%
At the start of the season, of all Villa assets, El Ghazi wouldn’t have been the most valuable one to pick. However, things have changed in the last 3 GWs and the Villa midfielder is fast becoming a bit of a gem. The Moroccan has got 3 goals and 2 assists in the last three matches. And with him being on penalties, he could be the best budget fifth midfielder in FPL.
Aston Villa take on Crystal Palace in FPL GW 15 and the Eagles are fresh off a 7-0 thumping at the hands of the champions. El Ghazi has the stats to pile more misery on Roy Hodgson‘s men. He has had 7 shots inside the box, 2 big chances in the last two matches, more than any other midfielder. Furthermore, he has created 5 chances for his teammates, only 4 other midfielders have created more in that time.

Anthony Martial vs Leicester (A) £8.7 TSB: 3.9%
After returning just one attacking haul in the first 12 matches, Anthony martial has finally come to life in the last two matches. He has got 1 goal and 4 assists in that time. In FPL GW 15, the Frenchman takes on a Leicester side who are vulnerable at home. The Foxes have lost 4 of their last 6 matches at the KP stadium, and Manchester United who can’t seem to put a foot wrong away from home will look to continue the same this Boxing Day too.
The underlying numbers from the last 2 GWs are heavily in favor of Martial. The forward has had 4 big chances in that time and has also created 4 big chances for teammates, both of which are more than any other player in the time. Martial also both scored and assisted in united ‘s midweek cup victory at Everton.

Sadio Mane vs WestBrom (H), £11.9 TSB:7.7%
Believe it or not Sadio Mane ‘s attacking numbers this season are extremely similar to that of Mo Salah. The below stats show how much he has been underperforming this season. However he is back to form after both scoring and assisting last week at Palace.
Mane vs Salah this season: Shots on goal: 40 vs 45 Shots on target: 19 vs 23 Shots inside box: 32 vs 33 Big chances: 10 vs 10 xG: 6.45 vs 8.64 Goals: 5 vs 11 Key passes:19 vs 24 Big chances created:3 vs 5 xA:3.08 vs 4.21 Assists:5 vs 3 Points: 68 vs 102 Note: Mane played 19 mins less compared to Salah
Liverpool have very good fixtures coming up plus they have a double GW coming up in Gameweek 19. Now is the perfect time to have both Salah and Mane in the team.

Joao Cancelo vs Newcastle (H), £5.5 TSB:4.9%
Cancelo has been one of most in form players in FPL this season. Now that Kyle Walker is sidelined for the next few matches we FPL managers can be rest assured that Cancelo is nailed to start, which first and foremost is the most important factor in this busy period.
The Portuguese full back is due a big haul to say the least. In the last four GWs Cancelo had 5 shots on goal and has created 5 chances for teammates in that time. Only three other defenders have created more chances and only two other defenders have had more shots.
Manchester City have been rock solid at the back this season since their 5-2 debacle against Leicester. Since then, City have conceded just 6 goals in 11 matches, keeping 6 clean sheets in the process. In FPL GW15 City take on Newcastle, a team that struggles to create goal-scoring opportunities. To put that in numbers, in the last six matches, Newcastle have an xG of 6.27, only Spurs, Burnley and West Brom have recorded a lower tally in that time.

Che Adams vs Fulham (A), £6.1 TSB: 8.9%
Adams has got 4 goals and 5 assists thus far this season, which means that he has already bettered his last season’s numbers( 4 goals 4 assists ). Southampton have some very good fixtures coming up including an eye catching double Gameweek 19. Given the fact that Ings is once again injured, the onus is on Adams to deliver the attacking returns.
The Southampton striker comes up against Fulham in FPL GW 15, a team which has been over performing defensively in the last six matches. To put that in numbers, Fulham have conceded 18 big chances in the last 6 matches, only Leeds have conceded more. But the cottagers have conceded just 8 goals in that time. It is safe to say that their goal has been leading a charmed life in the time, further illustrated by the fact that their xGC of 11.78 is only better than West Brom and Leeds at that time.
