Manchester United is one major team in the Premier League that we have to look out, for the remaining of the season 2019-20. Most of this particular season, Manchester United have struggled to find their rhythm and get into the top 4 which ensures them a Champions League spot next season. But recently, they have started implementing the system to perfection recently. This ensure that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has settled in nicely and also has been picking up results exactly the way that their fans needed.
Being the most competitive league and Liverpool already crowned Champions, the fight for the 3rd and 4th spot is getting intense every Gameweek. As a result of the completion of Gameweek 31, with both Leicester and Chelsea dropping points to their respective opponents, the Red Devils sit on the 5th place closing the gap with only 2 points of the top 4 behind Chelsea.
Since the restart of the Premier League, Manchester United look confident and very promising. Having played three games so far with 7 points out of a possible 9, United are poised for a new beginning. Playing 4-2-3-1, United drew at White Hart Lane to Spurs following it with two consecutive emphatic 3-0 victories against Sheffield and Brighton respectively.
Man Utd would surely look forward to continuing their momentum as their fixtures for the remainder of the season looks like a cakewalk. With six fixtures remaining, 5 out of the 6 teams are from the bottom half of the table. The only team they face from the top half of the table is Leicester City, whom they play on the 26th of July, an away fixture on their last matchday.

Why Man Utd triple up is essential in FPL?
From the FPL point of view, it is necessary and essential to go all out and triple up on United. With no other team having fixtures like United, we can surely expect the players to give good returns in terms of FPL. Looking at United and its depth in the squad we have a variety of options for our FPL team. We have 6 important players in front of us to look out for from the Manchester United squad who will play a key role for your team for the rest of the season.
Man Utd FPL Defensive Options:
If I would recommend a Manchester United defender for your lineup, then it is going to be the English Right Back, Aaron Wan Bissaka. Being bought for 50m including bonuses from Crystal Palace, the Englishman has proved his worth since the beginning of this season in the Premier League. With 67% tackle success, 155 recoveries and 0 errors leading to goal in the 29 games he’s played this season, Bissaka would be a very good defensive option as United have six clean sheets in the last 8 games in the PL.

Man Utd FPL Midfield Options:
We have 3 options for Midfield consisting of Bruno Fernandes, Pogba, and Martial. Bruno and Martial are mandatory while Pogba can be considered as a differential. Pogba would be a very good gamble and might actually turn out well as the Frenchman looks to pick up his form in the upcoming games. Although I just sense that the 8.3m price tag on him is a bit costly FPL wise as we have Martial at 8.2m who plays as a striker and gets you goals upfront.
On the other hand, Bruno Fernandes since his arrival to the PL, has been on fire in most of the games he has played. United still haven’t lost since Bruno’s addition to the squad winning 6 out of the last 8 games with 2 draws. With 5 goals and 5 assists in his first 8 games in the PL, Bruno Fernandes is a must in your team and is all worth the 8.8m you have to give him. Bruno is also on the Set-Piece duties taking corners and freekicks which is an additional aspect to his name.
Bruno- Stat Attack:
- Manchester United have most points(18),most goals scored(15) since Bruno’s arrival.
- Has a goal contribution of 0.88 per 90 minutes.
- 7 man of the matches in 8 games.
- Most goal involvements in Premier League since his debut(8) – Salah(6), Martial(6), Mane(5).
Anthony Martial, is another mandatory midfield option. At 8.2M he is the cheapest option available and also plays as a striker in game. With 6 goals in his last 7 games, we can expect Martial to bang in goals for the Red Devils quite often.
Man Utd FPL Forward Options:
The most costliest United player is Marcus Rashford at 9.1m. Rashford plays as a Left winger in the 4-2-3-1 and is really going to be tough for the opponent right backs when he cuts inside. We can expect Rashford to assist more than usual now as he tries to put forward more crosses. He also is a penalty specialist for them but with Bruno taking the penalty against Spurs, we don’t really know if he’ll be on penalty duties hereafter.
The 18 year old forward Mason Greenwood is the cheapest option available for us at 4.4M. A promising outing against Brighton with a goal and assist would have cemented his place at Ole’s heart and also at the right winger position. We can expect him to be involved in the goals that United score as he is lethal and very clinical inside the D box with both feet.

- 6 appearances, 6 goals, 1 assist starting as right winger this season(all competitions)
- Goal contribution per 90 minutes- 0.85
- Best value for money- Third striker in FPL

Author’s best three Man Utd options to consider for the remainder of the FPL season:
I’d personally like to let you know that a triple up on United is a must considering their upcoming fixtures. Bruno Fernandes (8.8m), Martial (8.2m), and Bissaka (5.4m) would be the best 3 picks you could choose for your FPL Team in my opinion. Although, you could still neglect Bissaka and go in for an attacking option like Rashford if you got all the cash or Mason Greenwood if you’d like to save up somewhere else.
