It has been a frantic beginning to project restart, the games are coming thick and fast and that means FPL Gameweeks are turning up in double-quick time. FPL GW33+ is fast approaching us and it is a pretty good time to use the free hit chip. Some of the big hitters have some easy fixtures and it is the right time to cash in. Here’s our FPL GW33+ Free Hit Team
FPL GW33+ Free Hit Team: Goalkeepers
Matt Ryan(4.7) vs Norwich(A)
Norwich have been the worst side since restart along with Bournemouth. The Canaries have not scored a single goal in the three games they have played. Matt Ryan kept a clean sheet for Brighton in their last away game at Leicester. Ryan is likely to keep clean sheet and is the best option in goal for FPL GW 33+.
Bench Fodder: Martin Stekelenberg(3.9)
FPL GW33+ Free Hit Team: Defenders
Aaron Wan Bisakka (5.4) vs Bournemouth(H)
AWB has been on fire since restart. He has already registered as many assists(2) in 3 games as he had before the break. He takes on a Cherries side that has scored only one goal in the three games and have largely looked poor. So expect AWB to come up with another big haul in FPL GW33+.
George Baldock vs Burnley, TSB: 11.5%
Sheffield had a nightmarish start to the season after the break. But did really well to pull things back with a great performance against Spurs. They once again looked to be a settled unit defensively with John Egan(4.5) back at the heart of the defense. Burnley have just scored one goal since the restart and are struggling up front without Barnes and Wood. Burnley’s squad depth is hampered very badly due to injuries and its time to welcome back Sheffield defense for this gameweek.
TAA(7.8) vs Aston Villa(H)
This is where it gets really tricky. Liverpool have a very easy fixture, but we don’t know if Klopp will field his first team. A vast majority of the fringe players could get a look in. However, you can’t ignore their entire side. TAA is one of the players who doesn’t necessarily have a direct competition in terms of position, so he is more than likely to start. If he does start, then brace yourselves, he is going to rock in FPL GW33+.
Bench Fodders: Taylor(4.3), Robinson(4.0)
FPL GW33+ Free Hit Team: Midfielders
Bruno Fernandes(8.7) vs Bournemouth(H)
This is a pretty straightforward pick. No words needed. Make sure that Bruno is the first name on your teamsheet. Just to be sure, Bruno has scored 3 goals in 3 matches since the break. He has been subbed off in the last two matches just after the hour mark, albeit with a 120 minute FA cup tie in between. Bruno will definitely start and will rack up big numbers as well.
Christian Pulisic(7.0) vs Watford(H)
Pulisic has been Chelsea’s best player by far in the last two weeks. The American has scored twice and assisted twice in that time. In fact, everything that Chelsea do seems to come through him. The Blues take on a poor Watford side, and captain America could light up FPL GW33+ too just he has the last 3 gameweeks. Pulisic also scored the winning goal in the reverse fixture between these two teams.
Manchester City’s midfield vs Southampton(A)
The rest of the midfield is comprised of Manchester City players. But it is extremely tricky to choose which three to put in considering the rotation and all that. But we’ve gone in with Mahrez(8.5), KDB(10.7) and David Silva(7.3).
De Bruyne looks to be a must own irrespective of the fixture and the minutes played(Hard lesson learnt for non-owners in GW32+). Mahrez was rested against Liverpool and would go all guns blazing against the Saints side. Mahrez has better goal contribution(76.0) per 90 minutes than De Bruyne(80.0)
David Silva(7.3) slots in as a differential for this week as he was also rested against Liverpool. He is in his last few weeks at the club and maybe a set piece goal contribution is not far away. He should walk into the line-up in place of Gundogan/Rodri. Silva also scored a goal in his last start against Burnley. Southampton are a poor side at home and it is a must to have three assets from City.
FPL GW33+ Free Hit Team: Forwards
Marcus Rashford(8.9) vs Bournemouth(H)
Rashford has been unlucky in the last 3 games, he has played extremely well but hasn’t scored yet. But it is possible to sense that a big haul from him is coming. That could happen in FPL GW33+. Rashford takes on a Bournemouth side that he has good memories with from last season. Indeed the United striker scored a goal and got an assist in the reverse fixture last season.
Neal Maupay(5.7) vs Norwich(A)
Maupay is Brighton’s top scorer this season with 9 goals, and he takes on a Norwich side that have looked terrible defensively. Norwich have conceded 8 goals in 3 matches since the break and have looked hopeless defensively.
Alternatively you can pick Raul Jimenez in your side, he taken on Arsenal. But Arsenal have shown some form in recent games so that might not be the easiest of games for Wolves.
Bench Fodder: Aaron Connolly(4.2)
Final FPL GW33+ Free Hit team
Formation : 3-5-2
Subs : Robinson, Connoly, Taylor
Other players considered: Jimenez, Pogba, Jesus, Salah, Saint Maximin
Gamble : No Liverpool attackers
