It’s here lads, yet another gameweek deadline upon us and here is our allaboutfpl captain’s pick for this weekend. GW’s right after international break are always tough as you have to consider quite a few factors before deciding the best captain bet for the upcoming gameweek, we have tried to give you managers the best possible options for captains.
Tammy Abraham VS Newcastle (H) TSB:41.7%:
The Chelsea striker has been in amazing form this season and is joint first on most goals scored this season with Sergio Aguero. Chelsea have improved vastly after a poor start to the season and the recent return of Callum Hudson Odoi is bound to create more chances for the young striker to score.
Newcastle have been Lacklustre so far and Frank Lampard’s team will look to take this victory to
possibly go 4 th in the league standing and they will rely upon this young man to do the job for them.He has an expected goal ratio of 0.71 every 90 which is a very good number and he is owned by a whopping 41.7% managers and surely a chunk of them will trust him with the armband.
SERGIO VS CRYSTAL PALACE (H) TSB: 29.6%:
Manchester City’s Aguero already is considered a legend at the club and his numbers surely support the claim. He has had one of his best starts to a season yet and that says something about the potential and consistency of this man. He has bagged 8 goals in an attacking Manchester city side who have faced some shock losses this season will look to bounce back. Despite sterling on average being the furthest man up the pitch, Aguero is still in the scorecards and has had a 3 assists as well.
Those are really good numbers and is expected to score 1.1 goals every 90mins according to his
stats! The only risk with captaining him is Pep deciding on playing Jesus wither as a starter or
subbing in for Aguero which reduces his potential return but it seems like a risk worth taking.
SEBASTIEN HALLER VS EVERTON (A) TSB:5.1% DIFFERENTIAL PICK:
Sebastien Haller has scored 4 and assisted only 1 till now but still has been one of the most
important players for West Ham and instrumental in getting them to 6 th place in the table. They’re facing Everton who are now in the relegation zone and have been very poor despite the good squad that they possess and West ham will look to attack with Anderson and Yarmolenko to create chances for Haller to score. He is owned by just 5.1% managers and will be a good differential option with an expected goals ratio of 0.61 per 90 mins.
SON VS WATFORD (H) TSB:12.2%
Tottenham have plummeted in terms of quality and morale this season but the potential is there
nonetheless and they would be looking to regain their form against a struggling Watford with the
hornets last in the table. Watford have conceded 20 goals already! This is will be very good chance
for Spurs strike force of Kane and Son to capitalize on. Son plays further ahead of Kane as Kane drops
back to retrieve balls and to press and this gives Son more chance. Son is listed as a midfielder but
plays as a striker and this is a wonderful opportunity to captain an out of position player.
CALLUM WILSON VS NORWICH CITY(H) TSB:13.1%:
Callum Wilson has failed to return in just 1 game this season and that was against Arsenal. He has scored 5 and assisted 3 more and has been such a presence for Bournemouth in the attacking half. He is undoubtedly their Talisman with excellent stats to support his skills as a player. He is up against
Norwich who have conceded the most goals for a PL team this season and an attacking team like Bournemouth will definitely test the defensives potential. He is owned by just 13.1% of the
managers can be a good differential captain.
