Sleeper GW33 Draft Fantasy – Best Punts and Hidden Gems
Conor Bradley
Arne Slot confirmed in the pre-match press conference that TAA will not be fit to start in GW33 vs Leicester and could only make the bench at best. This information confirms that Bradley surely starts in GW33 vs Leicester City. Conor Bradley made his return from injury with the 23 minute cameo vs Fulham in GW31. He was very direct, attacking and got an assist as well. In GW32, he was taken off after 67 minutes which meant that he got clean sheet points before Liverpool conceded vs West Ham.
Arne Slot on Trent Alexander Arnold’s return from injury:
“[He is] not [ready] to start but if things go well today and tomorrow, he might – might – be on the bench. But definitely not to start because he is out for five-and-a-half weeks and this is today probably his first session with the team. “It was Wednesday I think he did parts of the team session. So he’s not able to start but hopefully he can be able to join us because for Conor [Bradley], he has been out for a long time so for him to play 90 isn’t easy as well.
Leicester are arguably the worst attack in the league having failed to score a goal in 8 of their last 9 Premier League games. Liverpool on the other hand have the second least xGC and have conceded the 2nd least goals in the league this season. This very much points to a Liverpool clean sheet in GW33. If you are looking for a one-week punt for GW33 Draft Fantasy, Look no further than Connor Bradley.
Paqueta
Lucas Paqueta has not set the ground firing this season with just 4 goals, 1 assist from 24 starts this season. But it is all about playing the fixture game in Draft Fantasy Football. If the likes of Bowen and Kudus are already picked up in your Draft leagues, Paqueta is the next best pick from West Ham to attack the Southampton(H) fixture.
Up against a Southampton side who are already relegated and are on a record low of 10 points from 32 games, Paqueta and West Ham should fancy themselves to score a few goals to get their form back having gone winless in the last 5 league games. Southampton are ranked worst in the league for all the underlying defensive numbers- xGC, Big Chances Conceded and Goals Conceded.
Paqueta is also on penalties and has already scored 2 penalties this season.
Ortega
Pep Guardiola has confirmed in the pre-match press conference that Ederson is ruled out for GW33 fixture vs Everton which confirms Ortega’s place in goal. It is difficult to get a nailed player from Pep Guardiola’s side and when the opportunity comes, you should just grab it. By the looks of the quote from Pep, there are chances that Ederson could be out beyond GW33 as well.
Manchester City have improved considerably in defense over the last month or so with 4 clean sheets from the last 8 matches- Joint Highest in the league during this time.
Manchester City defense Stats since GW25(Rank in the league):
- xGC- 8.12(3rd)
- Goals Conceded- 7(3rd)
- Big Chances conceded- 13(4th)
- Clean Sheets- 4 (Joint 1st)
On the other hand, Everton have just scored just 5 goals from the last 6 matches- 3rd lowest in the league in the league during this time. Only Southampton(4) and Leicester(2) have scored fewer goals.
Kilman
Once again, Talking about targeting the fixtures it’s the West Ham vs Southampton game. At this point, it’s just picking out players that are available in your draft leagues and facing Southampton and Leicester City. Try to pick out any of the West Ham defenders that are available in your Draft leagues. Southampton have scored the least goals in the league this season- 23 goals from 32 games so far. Their underlying numbers are also poor as they are ranked 2nd worst for both xG and Big Chances this season.
Kilman also carries decent ariel threat from set-pieces with 11 Shots and 3 Big Chances so far this season. So if you get lucky, you can get an attacking return as well.
Schade
Kevin Schade up against Brighton(H) rounds up as the final pick in our GW33 Draft Fantasy Punts and Hidden gems article. Truth to be told, he is not among the goals in recent weeks with Wissa being the main goal threat from Brentford. But Brighton do concede lots of chances from their right and center which could work well in favour of Schade. Brighton’s recent form is also not great as they are winless in the last 4 games- Losing to Palace, Villa and sharing points with Manchester City and Leicester City.
Schade has 7 goals, 4 assists from 20 starts this season which suggests that he has the potential to deliver the returns when given the chance.
