Sleeper GW30 Draft Fantasy – Best Punts and Hidden Gems
Reece James
Reece James is back from his injury and played 81 minutes vs Arsenal in GW29 just before the International break. But what caught everyone’s eye was the brilliant free-kick he scored for England in 3-0 win vs Latvia. James played the full 90 minutes and reminded us the explosive potential he can offer whenever he is injury free. We can go back to the 2021/22 season where he got 5 goals, 9 assists from just 1863 minutes of football.
The upcoming fixtures for Chelsea are also decent- Spurs(H), Brentford(A), Ipswich(A) making him a good option for GW30 Draft Fantasy and beyond as well. Jackson is also back from injury which should improve Chelsea’s attack and the system overall.
Harvey Barnes
Anthony Gordon has withdrawn from the England camp having sustained an injury during the win over Albania on Friday. Gordon is also suspended for GW30 vs Brentford(H). This makes it clear that Harvey Barnes will surely start in GW30 and could also start in GW31 vs Leicester City(A) is the injury to Anthony Gordon is serious. Barnes is always capable of attacking returns whenever he is on the pitch as suggested by his underlying data in the limited minutes this season.
Harvey Barnes Per 90 Stats this season:
- Shots- 3.30
- Big Chances- 0.50
- Goals- 0.50
- Big Chances Created- 0.50
- Assists- 0.20
- xGI- 0.6
Barnes is an excellent one-week punt for GW30 Draft Fantasy and can be an option going forward as well if the injury to Gordon is serious considering the fixture run Newcastle have. Newcastle have good fixtures all the way up to GW34 including a Double Gameweek in GW32 vs MUN(H), CRY(H).
Maxence Lacroix
Crystal Palace are in tremendous form particularly in defense and they have extraordinary defense numbers to back it up. Palace have conceded just 7 goals from the last 11 matches- Lowest among all the Teams in the league during this period. They have also kept 6 clean sheets during this run which is the joint highest in the league.
Palace Defense Stats(Per 90) since GW18:
- xGC– 3rd
- Big Chances Conceded– 3rd
- Goals Conceded– 1st
On Top of this, they play Southampton in GW30 who are one of the worst attacking sides in the league at the moment. Southampton have scored just 21 goals all season- Comfortably the lowest among all the teams in the league. So there is a likely clean sheet up for grabs in GW30.
If Munoz/Mitchell is already picked up in your Draft Leagues, Don’t worry you can go for Lacroix who has started all the games this season and is ranked 5th for xG among Defenders this season only behind Munoz, Gvardiol, Milenkovic, Gabriel. Richards is also another option from Palace if Lacroix is already picked.
Yankuba Minteh
Since the 7-0 loss to Forest, Brighton have turned around a corner and are unbeaten since then- 4 wins and one draw. Minteh has also been in form with 3 goals, 2 assists from the last 8 appearances. The underlying numbers for Minteh are really good during this time- 13 Shots inside the box, 7 Big Chances, 1.81 xG, 4 Big Chances created, 1.74 xA. 11 Big Chance involvements from the last 8 appearances show that he is very much involved in Brighton’s attack.
Brighton are up against Villa in GW30 whose defensive data away from home is not at all looking good as seen below.

Jarell Quansah
Quansah is one of those sneaky picks that you can help you get a part of Liverpool’s defense. With Trent Alexander Arnold injured and likely to be out for a while, Quansah is the one who will fill in at right back for Liverpool. We do need any introduction for Liverpool’s defensive data this season- Top for Clean Sheets(12), 2nd Least Goals Conceded(27), Lowest xGC(24.67). With Konate’s injury during the International break also not looking very serious Liverpool should be able to continue their form and get more clean sheets.
If there is an option to get a Liverpool defender who is probably a free agent in your Draft leagues, you must definitely go for him.
