Our GW18 Sleeper Pick’em Predictions:

  • We are at a time where a Manchester City win over Everton may come as surprise to many. But we do expect City to bounce back against Everton, particularly at home. With Young suspended and McNeil likely ruled out, City should get away with a win.
  • Bournemouth vs Palace is draw prediction as it is a very difficult game to call. Bournemouth are coming on the back off a 3-0 win over Manchester United away from home. Palace are coming into this game with a 5-1 loss to Arsenal but that scoreline is bit harsh and Palace looked good attack wise and have scored 6 goals from the last 3 matches before the Arsenal game.
  • Chelsea were not able to score against Everton in GW17, but the Title contenders should be back on track against a Fulham side who are likely to be without their first choice defensive midfielders- Lukic and Berge. Chelsea are ranked 2nd for xG and Goals scored this season. Expect Palmer and co to have another great night at Stamford Bridge.
  • Newcastle vs Villa will be another closely fought battle, but we are backing Newcastle to get the win at home. They have found their perfect front 3 and Isak is hitting his top form- 6 goals, 2 assists from the last 4 matches. Newcastle have scored 13 goals from the last 4 games– Highest among all the teams comfortably.
  • Next up on our GW18 Boxing Day Predictions is the Spurs vs Forest. We have gone with Spurs despite their inconsistent record and conceding six vs Liverpool. Forest are 4th in the table and have won 4 out of the last 5 matches. We could go entirely wrong with our prediction here as it is another difficult call to make this week. We have just gone with our gut feeling.
  • The Liverpool and the Arsenal games are fairly easy to call with both the teams up against promoted sides Leicester and Ipswich at home. Best attacking sides up against the worst defensive sides in the league. Liverpool scored 6 against Spurs and Arsenal scored 5 vs Palace in GW17. Don’t be surprised to see a Tennis score in these games again!
  • In the Brighton vs Brentford fixture- We are backing Brighton to win mainly based on Brentford’s poor away defensive form. Away from home, Brentford are ranked 20th for Shots inside the box conceded, 18th for xGC and Goals conceded this season.
  • 3 losses in the league over the last 4 matches, Ruben Amorin will be looking to get back to winning ways against a Wolves side with a new manager. There are good signs from Amorin and Manchester United and it is only a matter of time before they start winning matches.
