FPL GW9 Transfer Targets
Rayan Ait-Nouri WOL Β£4.4
Projected Points GW9-14: 23.7
Wolves have had an absolutely horrible season with 0 clean sheets. Despite their defensive futility, Ait-Nouri has still been able to provide 4 attacking returns, as he is one of the most attacking defenders in the league. Ait-Nouri has a 0.21 xGI per 90 minutes which just highlights the amazing positions he takes up.
Moving forward, Ait-Nouri will have the easiest fixtures for defenders over the next six GWs, which will give Ait-Nouri a higher chance of finally securing a clean sheet this season.
Regardless of whether they do get a clean sheet, Ait-Nouri can always grab a goal and assist, which most defenders at that price just cannot do. With good fixtures, great attacking threat, and an attainable price, Ait-Nouri is one of the top defenders on my watchlist.
Ait Nouri Attack Stats(Rank among Defenders) this season:
- Big Chances- 3 (2nd)
- Shots- 9 (6th)
- xG- 1.03 (5th)
- xGI- 1.5 (5th)
- Goal Involvements- 4 (Joint 1st)

Cole Palmer CHE Β£10.8
Projected Points GW9-14: 44.0
With Sakaβs injury, many managers have a choice to make going into GW9 on whether to bring in the player with the better short-term fixtures in Son, or the better long-term fixtures in Palmer. This question is all about the future plans of each manager. If you have 3-4 free transfers lined up, I do not mind the move to Son especially eyeing that GW11 captaincy. However, if you do have 1 or 2 free transfers, then I would just move to Palmer, as we will have an abundance of transfers to make in the coming weeks, such as moving Haaland out and bringing Salah in.
Palmerβs record speaks for itself and even if he has slightly harder fixtures than Son, Palmer is still a player that can perform in any fixtures. An interesting dilemma going into GW9, but with his haul potential and fixtures swing in GW12, where he will become template, Palmer is a player strictly on my watchlist.Β

Raul Jimenez FUL Β Β£5.7
Projected Points GW9-13: 33.5
With an attacking return in 5 straight games, Jimenez continues to his great run of form since his first start in GW4. Jimenez has found his former level, as he is posting a great 0.79 xGI per 90 minutes, showing his attacking upside.
Raul Jimenez Stats since his he became starter in GW4(Rank in the league):
- Shotsβ 18
- Shots inside the boxβ 17(3rd)
- Big Chancesβ 7(Joint 2nd)
- xGIβ 3.8(2nd)
- FPL Pointsβ 36(4th)
Raul also should be on penalties now that Andreas missed a PK over the weekend, and Jimenez has a great record from the spot. Jimenez also has such a great price which can prove useful in the coming GWs when many managers will try to fit in more premiums into their squads. Lastly, Jimenez has the 6th easiest fixtures over the next six GWs, giving the Mexican striker great upside moving forward.
With a two-premium template on the horizon, targeting great-value players like Jimenez will be more valuable than it has been at any point this season. With great fixtures, elite underlying stats, and on penalties, Jimenez is one of the best forwards on my watchlist.Β
