The Differential Article continued with some Big Scores where 3 of our 6 picks returned with FPL Points.
- Jarrod Bowen – 1 Goal, 1 Assist, 2 Bonus – 12 Points
- Matheus Cunha – 1 Goal, 3 Bonus – 9 Points
- Brennan Johnson – 1 Goal – 6 Points
That makes it 21/42 Picks who have returned FPL Points from our picks this Season.
In this article, we will be highlighting 5 Players who are less than 10% Owned and 1 Ultra Differential (less than 1% Owned) for all of you as of Thursday 17th October, 2024. There are many more whom you guys can consider if you decide to not go with the 6 players mentioned below.

Top FPL GW8 Differential Picks(<10% TSB)
James Maddison – Tottenham Hotspur – 7.5 Midfielder – 5.4% TSB
- While Johnson may be the most In-form Player & Son may be the most explosive, Maddison has the most FPL Points from the Spurs team due to 2 Goals and 3 Assists. He has produced 2 Double Digit returns in the last 3 Gameweeks and has blanked only against Arsenal, Newcastle & Manchester United (the tougher games)
- Maddison is an All round player with an xG of 2.1 and an xA of 2.8. He has been involved in 4 Big Chances and has had 8 Shots on Target. He has supplied 13 Key passes and created 3 Big Chances.
Top Non-Premium Midfielders for xGI(Less than £10.0 Million):
- He is the sole set piece taker for Spurs with corner and free kick duties up his sleeve. Spurs have also produced 35 shots from set pieces which is the highest in the league. West Ham are placed middle in terms of Shots conceded from Set pieces and Headed chances. Could be an interesting outing for Maddison.

Phil Foden – Manchester City – 9.2 Midfielder – 5.6% TSB
- If ever there was a Differential player with massive haul potential yet the risk of minutes, Phil Foden would be Number 1 on that list. Slowly getting himself fit for the league with some good performances for City in the Champions League. Foden could well have a field day against his next 2 opponents Wolves & Southampton (the current Bottom 2 in the League)
- Wolves have conceded the most Goals in the league (21). They have conceded the most Shots on Target (47) and the joint most headed attempts (22), something Mr. Haaland can take advantage of this Gameweek. Wolves are also in the Bottom 3 for xGC in the League.
- If Foden starts, I expect him to outscore most of his premium Midfielders this Gameweek and get a double digit haul. Everyone will then start buying him for Southampton. The trick is to get him before everyone buys him and enjoy the points to yourself.

Bruno Fernandes – Manchester United – 8.2 Midfielder – 6.8 % TSB
- He has perhaps been the unluckiest player in the Game so far, maybe along with Eze. He only has 1 Assist so far but his stats suggest otherwise. He has an xG of 1.9 and an xA of 1.4 and is about to embark on a beautiful run of attacking fixtures. The points should come soon.
- Bruno is nailed to start, on all set pieces and penalties and pretty much plays 90 minutes. A Bonus Magnet too, considering his Chance creation numbers with 6 Key passes and 2 Big chances created.
- Brentford are also not strong defensively as they have conceded the 4th most xGC (12.5) and the 4th most Goals (13). If you have stuck with Bruno till now, do not let him go before the fixture swing for Manchester United.

Leif Davis – Ipswich – 4.5 Defender – 2.3 % TSB
- He is joint best for Expected Goal involvement for Ipswich which says a lot about the other Ipswich attackers besides Delap. Besides, Everton have conceded the most shots from the right flank in the League and based on Davis’ forward runs and quality crosses he could prosper against Ashley Young in this game.
- He even has a decent xG of 0.32 with 2 Shots in the Box and 1 on Target. His xA (1.35) is one of the best among defenders with an 5 Big Chances created and playing 17 Key passes. We have also seen Davis getting Bonus points just for his chance creation stats even if Ipswich concede goals.
- Also on all set pieces and Ipswich do have some big blokes to grab a headed goal against Everton.
Leif Davis Attack Rank among Defenders since GW3:
- Big Chances Created- 1st
- Chances Created- 1st
- xA- 2nd
- xGI- 1st

Liam Delap – Ipswich – 5.7 Forward – 5.2 % TSB
- Delap is the most likely attacking player to get a Goal/Assist for Ipswich. He also leads the team with 11 Shots, 8 Shots in the Box and 7 Shots on Target. He also has been presented with 5 Big Chances which is 3 more than any of his other team mates.
- Delap has 3 very good medium term fixtures and could add to his 4 Goals in his last 5 outings. No wonder, he is the most bought forward for Gameweek 8 so far. He will cause Everton problems as Ipswich will look to get their 1st win this season.

FPL GW8 Ultra Differential Pick (Under 1 % Ownership)
Nikola Milenkovic – Nottingham Forest – 4.5 Defender – 0.5 % TSB
- The In form Defender from the sturdy Forest backline. Milenkovic has got either an attacking or defensive return in 3 of the 1st 6 Gameweeks. He has combined 1 Assist with 2 Clean Sheets. Nuno is slowly building Forest into a tough team to beat, same as he did at Wolves.
- Palace have really struggled to score Goals this season, only 5 Goals scored this season. Their attack is misfiring and this could be another chance for Forest to get a clean sheet at home.
- Palace are known to have a weakness to Headed shots and set pieces and Milenkovic who is a giant of a man and has been really unlucky not to score so far, could get off the mark this Gameweek.
Least Goals conceded in Premier League this season:
- Liverpool- 2
- Forest- 6
- Arsenal- 6
- Newcastle United- 7
- Manchester City- 8
- Chelsea- 8
- Spurs- 8
- Fulham, Manchester United- 8
Forest are also joint 2nd least Big Chances Conceded in Premier League this season with just 12 Big Chances conceded from 7 game so far.
That’s it for Gameweek 8. We will be back with 6 More Differentials next Gameweek where we will be hoping to get some positive returns from our current selected Differentials for Gameweek 8.
