Goalkeepers: 

There are only two days in MD6, so we’ve opted to back the goalkeeper with the most points in the game in Maignan, and the other with the highest clean sheet odds for MD6 Iin Pickford. You can select Verbruggen as an alternative to Pickford if you wish.

Defenders:

France have not yet conceded a single goal from open play for this tournament, so we are backing double defence in Hernandez and Kounde. The third defender will be another Day 1 player in Cucurella, and then we have the two fallbacks in Trippier and Van Dijk who we can sub on if we need them in Day 2.

Midfielders:

Pedri has been ruled out of the rest of the tournament for Spain, so the in-form Olmo comes in. There are no real midfield options that we can back from the French midfield, so we have also selected Rodri and Williams to cover the team with the highest non-pen xG/90. Bellingham and Foden are the Day 2 options we have opted for. 

Another option if you don’t fancy the triple Spain or double England midfield, is to drop one of them for Xavi Simons who is also a viable option for Day 2.

Forwards:

This forward line picks itself. However, an alternative can be to drop one of Kane or Mbappe for Depay, if you fancy the Netherlands attack against England on Day 2. You can also select Depay instead of Gakpo here since he is on set pieces and possibly penalties. Yamal is an enticing option but we have ruled him out due to his expected minutes as compared to the rest.

• Day 2: Kane (or Gakpo/Bellingham)
