Fantasy Premier League GW 13 provided exactly what the FPL managers were missing during the international break. As most of the popular selections, including the likes of Jamie Vardy and Sadio Mane Scored. It is safe to say, Most managers had a great week 13. Let us look into the top five talking points from GW13, interesting numbers, and our Dream team.
No stopping Jamie Vardy:
The Leicester forward continued his impressive run of form, scoring and assisting a goal each. Leicester recorded a 2-0 win over a Brighton side who missed their captain Lewis Dunk through suspension.
Vardy has now scored in five consecutive games and became the first player in this season to cross 100 points. Having had 11 shots on target in the last 3 games there is no stopping Jamie Vardy. With back to back home fixtures against struggling Everton and Watford, it’s high time you onboard the Vardy party before its too late.
Fixtures: EVERTON(H), WATFORD(H), ASTON VILLA(A), NORWICH(H)
Raul Jimenez continues his scintillating form:
Wolves had a torrid start to the season, But Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have comeback remarkably well having gone 8 GW’s without a loss which puts them in 5 th place on the league table. The key player behind this resurgence is Raul Jimenez who has scored 4 goals and assisting two more in the last six-game weeks.
Raul has had 40 shots on goal this season with 19 of them coming in the last three-game weeks alone, also creating 5 big chances in the process. This puts him as the fifth-highest scoring forward this season. With Wolve’s fixtures looking fairly decent over the next couple of weeks, Jimenez could be a very good differential option as he is still owned by just 15% of FPL managers.
Fixtures: SHU(H), WHU(H), BHA(A), TOT(H), and NOR(A).
3. Son Hammers West Ham
Heung min son scored a goal and assisted another as Jose Mourinho registered his first win as Spurs manager. The Tottenham midfielder produced two big chances as well against West Ham, as he went on to register 13 points, taking home all three bonus points in the process.
Son’s 13 point-haul has made him the most-bought player in the Gameweek. The midfielder has earned more than 130,000 new owners ahead of a Gameweek 14 home game against Bournemouth
Son has now produced attacking returns in each of the last four Gameweeks, And looks to be a clear alternative to Raheem sterling who seems to be struggling in the last few games.
Fixtures: BOU(H), MUN(A), BUR(H) and, WOLVES(A)
4. Lys Mousset at it again against Manchester United:
The Sheffield United forward produced yet another fine performance against Manchester united making it 3 goals and 3 assists in the last five games.
Owned by just 2.8% of managers and costing only £5.0m, Lys Mousset along with other Sheffield assets including Lundstram, Dean Henderson could be good value signings with Sheffield United, not facing any of the top 6 until GW 20.
Fixtures: WOL(A),NEW(H),NOR(A),ASTON VILLA(A)
5. Watford and Everton assets need to be avoided at all costs:
Marco Silva’s Everton side endured another painful defeat at home against fellow strugglers Norwich who won comfortably thanks to goals from Cantwell and srbeny. With the future of Marco silva’s job under threat, Everton brace themselves for a tough run of fixtures facing Leicester, Liverpool, manchester united, Arsenal, and Chelsea in the next five games.
Watford put on a dismal show at home against a Burnley side who won their first away game of the season thanks to goals from Chris Wood, Ashley Barnes and James Tarkowski. Tarkowski, in particular, has scored the most FPL points in the last two game weeks.
With fixtures not looking so great, it is better to avoid Watford assets for the foreseeable future!
