FIXTURES:
- BOURNEMOUTH VS EVERTON
- EVERTON VS SHEFF UTD
- EVERTON VS MAN CITY
- BURNLEY VS EVERTON
- EVERTON VS WEST HAM
PLAYING STYLE:
Everton play a fluid 4-2-3-1 under Marco Silva with a double pivot in the middle of the park allowing Digne and Coleman the license to push forward, gylfi sigurdsson orchestes the attack and plays the number 10 role to perfection, having struggled to get the best out of the front three, silva has finally got the combination right with iwobi, richarlison accopying the right and left wing position respectively and moise kean playing as the striker up forward in the 3-2 win over wolves last weekend.
Key Players:
- Lucas Digne
- Richarlison
- Gylfi Sigurdsson
Lucas Digne:
IS DIGNE A LEFT BACK REALLY?
The former Barcelona left back had a phenomenal first season in england exceeding everyone’s expectation, and has continued from where he left last season having assisted twice in the opening 4 games and even came close to scoring in more than one occasion, with iwobi set to start as LW following a big money arrival from ARSENAL, digne’s attacking return is set to increase further after the duo linked up very well against wolves.
Digne averages 2.35 KEY PASSES per 90 mins which is second best only to Gylfi Sigurdsson which shows the importance of digne in the everton attack. Also the french LB has had 7 shots on goal which is the most for any defender and has created 9 chances so far second only to Trent alexander arnold, With a good run of fixtures coming up digne should be your go to Premium defender incase you don’t have him already!
Richarlison:
After a silent few games richarlison burst to the scene with a brace against wolves to help everton defeat wolves in a pulsating encounter in goodison park, the brazilian forward notched up 14 goals last season and by the looks of it he is in for a bigger haul this season
only a few players poses the game awareness and composure Richarlison posses which was evident in the build up to the second goal when richarlison set up Gylfi who was played onside by Conor Coady, gylfi then dished out a beautiful cross to iwobi who headed home to score his first goal in Everton colours, Averaging 2.96 shots per game surely more goals are incoming for the brazilian international.
STATS CORNER:
- Everton have won 6 on the bounce at Goodison Park and are unbeaten in seven at home
- Since the start of last season, lucas digne has been involved in 10 goals (4 goals,6 assists) only Trent(15) and Robertson(11) have been involved in more goals
- Everton have conceded only 29 shots so far, only Defending champions Man city have conceded fewer shots(24). Solid defense
- Out of the next 10 games everton have only 2 games with a fixture difficulty rating of more than 3, both home games against MAN CITY and SPURS EASY FIXTURES.
- Gylfi Sigurdsson averages 2.75 key passes per 90 minutes the highest for any everton player this season.
ALLABOUTFPL VERDICT:
With the attack looking promising as well combined with a run of easy fixtures it is time to double or may be even triple up on Everton players with Digne,Richarlison,Iwobi, Gylfi Sigurdsson and kean all showing immense potential in terms of attacking threat and FPL points.
