FPL Gameweek 15 Transfer Tips: Two Players to BUY

PS – I am assuming everyone has Haaland in their teams. If not, he is your priority buy

Brighton Barracudas 

Yankuba Minteh (£6.3m) – MID, Brighton – 9.7% TSB

Jan Paul van Hecke (£4.4m) – DEF, Brighton – 1.9% TSB

When it comes to midfielders, Minteh isn’t just “good”. He’s elite:

• 1st for Assists
• 2nd for Goal Involvements
• 4th for Key Passes
• 5th for FPL Points

Next up? West Ham at home — a defensive disaster zone. They rank bottom 3 for:

• Shots conceded
• Shots in the box
• Shots on target
• Big chances conceded
• NPxGC, xGC, xCS
• Goals conceded
• Clean sheets

Basically, if your attack needs charity, West Ham run an NGO.

Minteh is already on people’s radar — but the real cheat code is his teammate Jan Paul van Hecke

This man is chaos in defender form — and the good kind.

Since GW7, among all defenders:

• 1st for Shots on Target
• 1st for Goals Scored
• 2nd for xG
• 2nd for BPS
• 2nd for FPL Points

That’s not a defender profile. That’s a budget striker wearing a DEF tag by mistake.

FPL GW15 Transfer Tips: Two Players to HOLD

Bryan Mbeumo (£8.6m) – MID, Man Utd – 35.3% TSB

Mbeumo is the 2nd most transferred out midfielder ahead of FPL Gameweek 15. Yes, 3 blanks in 4. Yes, people are selling him in frustration. But chill.

Since GW7, among midfielders, Mbeumo is:

• 1st for Shots on Target
• 1st for Big Chances
• 1st for Goals Scored

These underlying numbers are elite. These are not stats of a sell — these are stats of someone who explodes any week.

His next opponents? Wolves, who are:

• 20th for Goals Conceded
• 18th for NPxGC
• 16th for xCS
• 15th for xGC
• 0 clean sheets this entire season

If you sell him before facing the league’s worst defence, you’re basically asking for red arrows.

Verdict: HOLD.

Do note, Mbeumo is expected to depart for AFCON on the 15th of December after the Bournemouth game(GW16).

Cody Gakpo (£7.5m) – MID, Liverpool – 13.9% TSB

He was subbed off at halftime and 30,000 managers panicked.
But the numbers say don’t even think about selling.

Since GW7, among midfielders, Gakpo is:

• 1st for Big Chances Created
• 1st for xG
• 2nd for xGI
• 2nd for xPts

These underlying stats scream “upcoming haul”.

Next up is Leeds, a defence that ranks bottom 5 for:

• NPxGC
• xGC
• Goals conceded
• Clean sheets

This is the perfect bounce-back fixture.

Verdict: HOLD firmly.

FPL GW15 Transfer Tips: Two Players to SELL

Antoine Semenyo (£7.7m) – MID, Bournemouth – 50.6% TSB

His season can be summarized in two chapters:

Chapter 1: 66 points in the first 7 GWs — world-beater.
Chapter 2: 14 points in the next 7 GWs — disappeared.

To put this collapse in perspective:
More than 200 players have outscored Semenyo in this period.

That’s not a dip. That’s a cliff.

Add to that:

• Upcoming fixtures: Chelsea and Man Utd
• Bournemouth attack cooling off
• Ownership at 51% — meaning his blanks hurt you badly

It’s time to let go.

Verdict: SELL.

Micky van de Ven (£4.8m) – DEF, Spurs – 31.7% TSB 

The “23-point trap” will go down in FPL folklore like that of Triple Captain Dennis.

Since GW5, his match-by-match returns:

1, 2, 2, 0, 23, 2, 1, 0, 0, 0

One massive haul surrounded by a desert of 1s and 0s.

That 23-pointer is the anomaly — not the expectation.

Why he’s a sell:

• Spurs defence is inconsistent
• Their fixtures worsen
• Clean sheets are rare
• His ownership is high (3rd most owned defender in the game), but returns are low — a terrible combination

He’s a classic case of “but he got that one big haul”.
Yes, he did. And you missed it.
Move on.

Verdict: SELL.
