Top FPL GW8 Differential Picks
Jarrod Bowen โ West Ham โ ยฃ7.7 Forward โ 7.5 % TSB

- Despite West Hamโs struggles this season, Bowen has scored 3 Goals and got a full bonus in each of those games. He is the 3rd highest scoring forward and the clear talisman of the West Ham team, who will play 90 minutes in most games. He has been directly involved in 50% of West Hamโs goals this season.
- Bowen has good numbers to back up his goal-scoring form with 7 Shots on Target, 11 Shots in the Box, 5 Key passes played, and 1 Big chance created for his teammates. West Ham now embark on a great run of 4 fixtures against Brentford, Leeds, Newcastle, and Burnley. With Nuno at the helm, a new manager bounce seems likely now.
- Both Brentford and Burnley rank in the Bottom 5 for most defensive metrics, such as Shots in the Box Conceded, Shots on Target conceded, which would give Bowen a strong chance of doing well in these upcoming fixtures. As we approach the busy winter schedule, the onus is to pick nailed players who are rotated less often, and we all know that Jarrod Bowen is Mr. West Ham.

Anthony Gordon โ Newcastle United โ ยฃ7.4 Midfielder โ 2.5 % TSB

- Newcastle now begin a great run of fixtures which lasts until Gameweek 16, with only a home game against Manchester City as a tough game. After suspension, Gordon has started twice in 2 games and lasted around 65+ minutes. That number should increase in the upcoming Gameweeks. Although Woltemade took the last penalty for Newcastle in Gameweek 7, Gordon was subbed off by that time. Gordon is the 1st choice penalty taker when on the pitch and should profit from this strong run of games coming up.
- Finally, Brighton, Brentford, and West Ham all sit in the Bottom 5 for key passes conceded from their Right Flank, and this is where Gordon will line up in the upcoming Games for Newcastle. A zonal weakness to target.
- Gordon may not have scored in the Premier League for 16 Games, but his overall contribution to Newcastle is significant. He averages a shot every 22.5 minutes this season. In 4 Games this season, he has had 4 Shots on Target, 8 Shots in the Box, 3 Big Chances, and generated 1.19 xG. This indicates he has been unlucky so far, and it’s only a matter of time before he starts converting these decent stats into FPL points.

Trevoh Chalobah โ Chelsea โ ยฃ5.1 Defender โ 7.4 % TSB

- Chelsea begin a brilliant run of 5 fixtures in the next 7 Games where they face the 3 promoted teams and bottom of the table Wolves and out-of-form Forest. Out of the 6 Games he has started, Chalobah has scored under 2 points in only one game (the game where he got sent off). He already has 2 Goals and an Assist this season and has banked Defcon points in 3 of the 6 Games.
- Chalobah has got the most Big Chances among Defenders this season (3) and is ranked in the Top 8 for xG generated (0.75) and in the Top 6 for Shots Taken (8). With games against the upcoming teams, who are all in the Bottom 8 for xG, Big Chances, and Shots on Target, there could be quite a few Clean sheets coming up in the next few Gameweeks.

Jorgen Strand Larsen โ Wolves โ ยฃ6.4 Forward โ 1.4 % TSB

- Strand Larsen has 2 great upcoming fixtures against the promoted duo of Sunderland and Burnley in the next 2 Gameweeks. Having gained match fitness, Strand Larsen has completed more than 75 minutes in the last 2 Gameweeks. Burnley ranks bottom for all defensive metrics, and Sunderland ranks 4th worst for Shots on Target conceded
- Strand Larsen has started only 4 Games this season, and in that time, he has had 3 Shots on Target, 8 Shots in the Box. Wolves have got 2 draws in the last 2 games, and if they are to get off the foot of the table, they will go all out in these 2 Gameweeks.

El Hadji Malick Diouf โ West Ham โ ยฃ4.4 Defender โ 3.7 % TSB

- No defender has got more assists in the 1st 7 Gameweeks than Diouf, who has got 4. He ranks in the Top 10 defenders for crosses, chances created, and final third touches. West Ham now embark on a great run of 4 fixtures against Brentford, Leeds, Newcastle, and Burnley. With Nuno at the helm, a new manager bounce seems likely now.
- With Nuno, teams become stronger defensively, and this fixture run could lead to some Clean sheets on top of the attacking returns. Brentford have only scored 3 goals in 3 Away games, and Leeds and Burnley are not the most prolific teams in terms of scoring goals..
There is also a possibility that Nuno plays a back 3 system, and Diouf as a wing back would be a wonderful option. Diouf also has a goal-scoring threat with 5 Shots, 2 Shots on Target, and both being in the box. One last thing to monitor is that Diouf secured Def-con points for the 1st time last Gameweek under Nuno

Ultra Differential Pick for FPL GW8 (Under 1 % Ownership)
Sean Longstaff โ Leeds United โ ยฃ4.9 Midfielder – 0.7% TSB

- A pick who has recently come to prominence. In the last couple of Gameweeks, Longstaff has created 12 chances and had 6 Shots. That is double the amount of chances created by any other player in the League over that time. He also has a 15-pointer over this period with a Goal and an Assist against Bournemouth.
- He has also taken over set-piece duties from Stach, as he has taken 11 corners over the last 2 Games. He has also secured Defcon points twice since he has started playing from Gameweek 3. Leeds have 2 great fixtures against Burnley and West Ham, who are both below them in the table. At a price less than 5 million with all-round potential, Longstaff could be a great Differential for people wanting to bench boost in the next 2 Gameweeks.
