GW14 marks the first mid-week gameweek of the season. Teams like Chelsea, Arsenal, and Brighton have fixtures turning in their favour, while Brentford and Nottingham Forest face tougher schedules. With the busy December period ahead, careful planning is crucial.

Imagine outshining Salah in his current scintillating form—that’s precisely what Nicolas Jackson has managed to achieve. Since the start of last Premier League season, he leads in non-penalty goals scored:

• 20 – Mo Salah

But it doesn’t stop there. Jackson also boasts the best shot conversion rate in the Premier League this season (25.8% for players with 25+ shots).

Justin Kluivert (£5.4m) – MID, Bournemouth – 2.1% TSB

While Wood, Cunha, Pedro, and Wissa have been grabbing all the attention as budget forwards, Evanilson has quietly and consistently delivered under the radar.

Over the last eight gameweeks, Bournemouth ranks 6th in both xG and goals scored—a remarkable feat considering they faced Arsenal, Man City, and Aston Villa during this period.

During this time, the Brazilian forward stands out among forwards with:

While owning both Evanilson and Kluivert might be overkill, depending on your squad structure, picking either one could prove to be a savvy choice.

Matheus Cunha (£7.1m) – FWD, Wolves – 23.4% TSB

Over 53,000 managers have already sold Cunha this week following just one blank, but it’s important to note that this blank came after a strong run of four consecutive returns.

Since GW5, among forwards, Cunhadinho has ranked:

• 1^st for FPL points
• 1^st for BPS
• 1^st for Bonus Points
• 1^st for Goal Involvements
• 1^st for Key Passes
• 1^st for Big Chances Created
• 1^st for xA
• 2^nd for goals scored
• 2^nd for Assists

His medium-term fixtures still look promising, making him a solid option moving forward.

Therefore, I’d say keep hold of Cunha—he’s worth hanging on to until Christmas, no need to gift him away just yet!

Jarrod Bowen (£7.4m) – MID, West Ham – 6.3%

32,000 managers have parted ways with Bowen, frustrated by his third blank in four games. However, the fixtures are now looking much more favorable for the Hammers.

Even during the challenging run up to GW13, Bowen ranked in the Top 10 among midfielders for:

Bryan Mbeumo (£7.8m) – MID, Brentford – 35.8% TSB

How the mighty have fallen. Mbeumo, once an essential pick, now finds himself in a shocking slump. His stats over the last four gameweeks are nothing short of dismal:

• 0 shots on target
• 0 big chances
• 0 goals
• 0 big chances created
• 0 throughballs attempted
• 0 successful throughballs

What’s even more surprising is that during these four gameweeks, he faced Fulham, Bournemouth, Everton, and Leicester—teams where you’d expect returns.

With his fixtures now becoming more difficult and his form in freefall, it might be time to cash in on his increased price and part ways with Mbeumo.

Chris Wood (£6.6m) – FWD, Nott’m Forest – 22.8% TSB

Forest enjoyed a fantastic run of fixtures up until GW10, during which Wood scored 66 points, placing him just behind Haaland among forwards.

In GW11 and GW12, Wood faced tough opponents in Newcastle and Arsenal, resulting in blanks. In GW13, he had a favorable matchup against Ipswich and returned 9 points. From GW14 onwards, Forest’s fixtures take a turn for the worse.

With a multitude of budget forwards vying for your attention, it’s wise to part ways with the Kiwi star.
