FPL GW11 Tips & Preview
Best Spurs Assets to Target in FPL GW11
After their 4-1 victory over Aston Villa and a home fixture against Ipswich this weekend, Spurs assets are the talk of the town. Solanke silenced his critics with a 16-point haul that included some calm and composed finishes. He now has 4 goals and 2 assists to his name from 8 starts and with Ipswich being the worst team defensively in away matches, he looks likely to add to this on the weekend.
The Englishman leads the Spurs squad for xG/90, averaging an excellent 0.73. He is the joint top-scorer in the squad (with Johnson) on 4 goals.
Ipswich Defensive Stats:
- 21 Goals Conceded (19th)
- 26.4 Expected Goals Against (20th)
- 1 Clean Sheet
- 45 Big Chances Conceded(20th)
- 21.4 NPxGA(20th)
- 0 Wins
Spurs are the number one attacking team at home so far this season and have the highest expected goal predictions for the weekend. Johnson and Son are both great picks if they fit your budget and strategy. Both are putting up almost career-best underlying data numbers and Son has the security of being on penalties for Spurs. Even with Manchester City in gameweek 12, this could almost be seen as a positive fixture for the Spurs front three but I will touch on that in the next section.
Pedro Porro is likely a sell or a ‘don’t buy’ currently. He still has some attacking potential but it is mostly limited to speculative outside-of-the-box shots. With injuries to Van De Ven and Romero, the unlikely Tottenham clean sheets have become even less likely for the near future.

Manchester City Weakness
Rodri’s absence in holding midfield as well as missing De Bruyne’s control has been highlighted over the last two weeks. Manchester City have conceded 8 goals in their last 3 fixtures in all competitions as well as conceding twice to Fulham and once to Wolves before that.
This isn’t City being unlucky either. They conceded a whopping 16 big chances in their last 3 fixtures and the underlying data is very important in these situations.
Although Gvardiol has been returning points through scoring 3 goals in the last 5 fixtures, this is not sustainable and his place in your squad should be questioned. Rico Lewis is likely to see rotation over the upcoming busy period so is also a potential sell.
Spurs travel to Manchester City after the International Break and I believe Spurs can once again score 2+ goals against the reigning champions.
Spurs appear to be clicking at the right time while City are on a downward trend.

Ollie Watkins – Hold or Sell going into GW11?
Watkins had a superb 23/24 season recording 19 goals and 18 assists. Although many of these assists came from winning penalties, even reducing this number gives him great output for a £9.0m forward.
Even with a slow start to this season, Watkins has 5 goals and 2 assists on the board in 10 starts. He missed two big chances and created one big chance over the last two weeks but was unlucky to not return any points.
Aston Villa have a mixed run of upcoming fixtures but he can score in any fixture, as shown last season when we scored goals against 12 different teams.
Watkins and Villa have been posting solid underlying data and have three good home fixtures against Palace, Brentford, and Southampton in their next five. I would hold Watkins if I have him or potentially look to transfer him in if you’re looking for a slight differential.

GW11 Key Fixture Analysis
Bruno Fernandes & Man United will be up against Leicester City at home in GW11 rank. Bruno has been racking up good numbers in the last three games & has juicy fixtures in GW11 & 12 against Leicester & Ipswich in GW11&12. The two teams are at the bottom of the table for the most big chances conceded so far this season.
Bruno Fernandes rank in the last three games amongst all players
- Big chances created: 5🥇
- Chances created: 9 🥇
- Shots: 14 🥈
- Big chances: 3🥉
- xGI: 2.3 🥉
Man United have had the most big chances(12) in the last 3 games & Bruno has been involved in 8 of those. A short-term punt on Bruno or Garnacho would be a great shout this week.
Brighton are very likely to score against Manchester City this week. Brighton being at home and the form of both teams is pointing to a contest where Manchester City will struggle to come away with the 3 points.
Lewis Dunk being injured, Brighton’s overall play style, and the return of Kevin De Bruyne still bodes well for Haaland’s captaincy stocks.
Liverpool v Aston Villa is a fixture that will have a big effect on many of the gameweeks. Salah, Watkins, Alexander-Arnold, and Diaz are highly owned assets who will face off at Anfield.
The Reds got the better of Aston Villa at Anfield last season with a 3-0 win but the two sides played out a 3-3 draw in the reverse fixture.
All of the main assets scored points across the two fixtures and Emery’s side had a knack of performing well in big matches last season.
This one could go either way and all assets in the fixture have an avenue to points.
