Sleeper Draft Fantasy GW9 – Best Punts and Hidden Gems
Jørgen Strand Larsen
First thing first, If Larsen is still a free agent in your Draft leagues dont think twice and get him in right away. The Wolves forward has hit form at the right time with 2 goals from the last 2 games. He has 4 attacking returns(3 goals and 1 assist) from 8 games so far despite a tough fixture run facing the likes of Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Aston Villa and Newcastle. Larsen is playing as the more advances central forward for Wolves ahead of Cunha over the last few weeks and has More shots inside the box, Better xG than Cunha over the last 4 matches.
Wolves have the best fixture run in the league in the upcoming weeks till GW17 playing- Brighton(A), Palace(H), Southampton(H), Fulham(A), Bournemouth(H), Everton(A), West Ham(A), Ipswich(H), Leicester(A). They don’t play any of the Last season’s Top 8 and play all three promoted sides during this run.
Yoane Wissa
Wissa has returned from injury and played 25 minutes as a substitute vs Manchester United in GW8. If you are looking for a proven forward in your roster with good fixtures, Get on the Wissa train. There can’t be a better entry point than a fixture vs Ipswich(H). Before his injured, Wissa got 3 goals, 1 assist from 4 games despite playing Liverpool and Manchester City. His underlying numbers were also excellent during that time- 9 Shots, 4 Big Chances, 2.45 xG and 4 Chances created.
Top Players for xG in the first 4 Gameweeks:
- Haaland- 4.83
- Watkins- 2.85
- Wissa– 2.45
Alex Moreno
Nottingham Forest have conceded only 6 goals from 8 games this season- 2nd best Defense in the league. Only Liverpool(3) have conceded fewer goals than Forest(6) this season in Premier League.
Least Big Chances Conceded this season:
- Fulham- 11
- Nottingham Forest- 12
- Spurs- 14
- Liverpool- 15
- Arsenal – 16
- Man City- 16
- Villa- 17
- Chelsea- 17
Moreno is nailed on to start as the left wingback and has also good attacking threat as seen with Villa last season where he registered 0.20 xGI per 90 minutes last season which are excellent numbers for a defender.
Iliman Ndiaye
Ndiaye scored last week in the 0-2 win over Ipswich Town making it 2 goals from the last 4 games. Even though Fulham is a slightly tougher fixture this week, Everton play Southampton in GW10. Considering Ndiaye has scored already against both the Promoted sides in Leicester and Ipswich, don’t be surprised if Ndiaye hauls next week vs Southampton. It’s better to get him in early this week- That’s what Draft Fantasy is all about, Getting in the planning done on these very low-rostered picks.
Mikkel Damsgaard
If you are planning to target the Ipswich(H) fixture and the likes of Mbeumos and Wissas are taken up in your Draft league, Mikel Damsgaard is your sneaky pick. Damsgaard has 3 assists from the last 2 matches and is unleashing his potential. His chance creation and underlying data for assists is the right there at the Top among all players over the last 2 Gameweeks.
Damsgaard Stats over the last 2 Gameweeks(Rank in Premier League):
- Chances created– 7(Joint 1st)
- Big Chances created– 3(Joint 1st)
- xA– 0.97 (2nd)
- Assists– 3 (Joint 1st)
Toti António Gomes
Yes, A Wolves defender whose name is not Ait Nouri. Wolves have conceded 23 goals from 8 games with no clean sheets and have conceded the most goals this season. But as mentioned earlier they have had the most difficult run of games facing all the big sides like Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Aston Villa and Newcastle. The upcoming fixture run looks great for Wolves- Brighton(A), Palace(H), Southampton(H), Fulham(A), Bournemouth(H), Everton(A), West Ham(A), Ipswich(H), Leicester(A) where there will be clean sheet for sure.
Attack Rank(xG) of next 9 opponents of Wolves:
- 9th
- 16th
- 14th
- 7th
- 6th
- 17th
- 13th
- 20th
- 18th
Toti has started the last 3 games in a back 5 set up and with Mosquera out till season end, he is pretty much nailed to start. Don’t worry if Semedo/RAN are taken up already, Toti could be a away into the Wolves defense.
