Sleeper Draft Fantasy GW8 – Best Punts and Hidden Gems
James Justin
The Leicester full back has 2 goals, 1 assist from the last 2 matches despite playing Arsenal and Bournemouth in these 2 matches. As a bonus, Their defense is also improving as they kept a clean sheet vs Bournemouth too. Even though the attacking returns are not sustainable for a defender- The fixtures right now are amazing as well. Leicester playing fellow promoted sides Southampton and Ipswich in two of the next 3 Gameweeks as well where there will be again clean sheet potential and also attacking threat.
He can be a good punt ahead of GW8 and for the next 3 weeks in your Draft league if you are looking for a Defender in your roster.
Hojlund
Despite a tough start last season, Hojlund managed 10 goals and 2 assists last season from 25 starts. Rasmus Hojlund made his return from injury with a full Premier League start vs Aston Villa in GW7. Manchester United have only scored 5 goals from 7 games and three of them came vs Southampton– Safe to say that they are struggling for goals right now. Erik Ten Hag will surely need goals to keep his job and expected United to get more goals considering the upcoming fixtures- Brentford(H), West Ham(A), Cheslea(H), Leicester(H), Ipswich(A), Everton(H).
There might be rotation with Zirkzee around but if you are looking to get a good forward ahead of everyone in your draft team, Hojlund is the one. There are very less chances that he is picked in your Draft league yet!
Buonanotte
Despite only starting only 4 out of the 7 games this season, Buonanotte’s numbers are incredible with 2 goals and 2 assists to show for. With Southampton and Ipswich in the two of the next 3 games, this is the perfect time to get in the Buonanotte train. Ipswich and Southampton are arguably few of the worst defensive sides in the league- Ranked 20th and 17th for xGC and Big Chances Conceded this season.
Buonanotte Stats this season:
- Appearances– 6(2 Sub apps)
- Shots– 8
- Big Chances– 2
- xGI– 1.3
- Chances created– 6
- Big Chances created– 3
- Goal Involvements– 4( 2 Goals and 2 Assists)
Savinho
After getting 3 assists in his first 4 PL starts for City, Savinho was surprisngly benched in the last 2 matches. It was mainly due to Rodri missing and Pep option for more control in the tough games vs Newcastle and Fulham with a better fixture vs Wolves, we do think Savio will be back in the starting line up. There are better fixtures to follow as well for Manchester City with Southampton(H) coming after the Wolves fixture.
Savio has good number underlying numbers with 1.5 xGI, 7 Shots and 3 Big Chance Involvements from 5 games.
Alex Moreno
Nottingham Forest have conceded only 6 goals from 7 games this season- Joint 2nd best in the league. Only Liverpool(2) have conceded fewer goals than Forest(6) this season in Premier League.
Least Big Chances Conceded this season:
- Fulham- 9
- Nottingham Forest- 12
- Liverpool- 12
- Spurs- 12
- Villa- 13
- Arsenal- 13
- Man City- 14
- Chelsea- 14
Moreno is nailed on to start as the left wingback and has also good attacking threat as seen with Villa last season where he registered 0.20 xGI per 90 minutes last season which are excellent numbers for a defender.
Ben Johnson
With Tuanzebe injured and ruled out for the foreseeable future due to a hand injury(Surgery), Ben Johnson is very likely nailed to start the upcoming run of games. Johnson also started the last game vs West Ham in GW7 when Tuanzebe missed out. With two of the next 3 games of Ipswich vs Everton and Leicester, there are good chances of a clean sheet as well in one of these games.
