FPL GW8 Transfer Targets

Rico Lewis MCI Β£4.7Β Β

Projected Points GW8-13: 23.4

FPL GW8 Transfer Targets- Lewis

With another start and an assist, Rico Lewis somehow disappointed in the last couple of GWs, as it feels like he has left points on the table. That is thanks to his xGI of 0.17 per 90 minutes, which is why he should be on everyone’s watchlist. Lewis has the underlying stats that make him one of the most explosive defenders in the game. Moving forward, Lewis remains a great option as he seems to be favored by Pep Guardiola which should see him continue to rack up starts.

With great fixtures coming up, which include matches against bottom-table Wolves and Southampton, Lewis should be in everyone’s radar.

Manchester City’s next 4 fixtures

At that price, Lewis has a chance to break the game making him one of the best defenders to buy going into GW8.

Brennan Johnson TOTΒ  Β£6.6

Projected Points GW8-13: 29.0

FPL GW8 Transfer Targets- Johnson

The most in form player in the Premier League at the moment, Brennan Johnson, does not stop scoring, with 7 goals in his last 7 matches.Β  Spurs fixtures are turning for the better, which makes a cheap midfield option such as Brennan Johnson as one of the best options going into GW8.

Most FPL Points over Last 3 Three Gameweeks(Players less than 10 million):

Over the next six GWs, Johnson has the 4th easiest attacking fixtures which raises his ceiling in the upcoming GWs. Brennan Johnson should also see secured minutes moving forward as there are not many options that play in the right wing for Spurs, especially with Kulusevski moving more centrally.

Tottenham’s next 4 fixtures

With great fixtures and a 0.62 xGI per 90 minutes, Johnson is a great option for managers who are trying to move on from players like Eze, Luis Diaz, or even Bruno Fernandes.

Dominic Solanke TOT Β£7.6

FPL GW8 Transfer Targets- Solanke

Projected Points GW8-13: Β 33.5

With attacking returns in back-to-back GWs, Solanke has provided managers who brought him in GW6 with some decent points, but the best is yet to come. Solanke is a great option moving forward, as he has the 4th easiest fixtures for attackers over the next six GWs.

Solanke Stats since his return from injury in GW4(Rank among all players):

  • Big Chances- 7 (1st)
  • Expected Goals- 3.08 (2nd)
  • Expected Goal Involvement- 3.50 (1st)

Solanke is putting up great underlying numbers with a 0.80 xGI per 90 minutes, reflecting just how many chances Spurs generate. Solanke also has a shot at being on penalties if Son remains out. The big Solanke haul is coming, so managers who want to take advantage of the Spurs fixture swing should consider the Spurs forward as one of the best forward options for the upcoming GWs.

Spurs are also arguably one of the best attacking sides in the league with these excellent underlying numbers.

Spurs Attack Rank this season:

  • xG- 1st
  • Shots inside the box- 1st
  • Big Chances- Joint 2nd
  • Goals scored- 4th
