Top FPL GW3 Differential Picks

Bryan Mbeumo – Brentford – 7 Midfielder – 5.3 % TSB –

Top FPL GW3 Differential Picks ~ Bryan Mbeumo
  • Mbeumo without Toney in my opinion becomes an even Better Option. With Toney rumored to leave the club, Mbeumo will be on Penalties and set pieces. He will become the Talisman of the Team in Toney’s absence. He scored 7 goals and 3 assists last season during Toney’s absence.
  • Mbeumo is an all-round player and good for Bonus. This is shown from his numbers where he has an xA of 0.43 (Created 2 Big Chances and played 4 Key passes). Very good for Bonus as well.
  • Southampton did not travel well in the Championship and Brentford are always a tough nut to crack at their home. Southampton have conceded the 3rd Most Big Chances in the League so far. They have also conceded 9 Shots on Target in the League (1 of them was a match against 10 Man Newcastle for 60 minutes). Not good numbers.

Mbeumo with Toney vs Mbeumo without Toney since 2022/23:

  • Starts: 35 vs 25
  • Goals- 5 vs 14
  • Assists- 7 vs 9
  • FPL Points per game: 3.37 vs 6.56

Update on Toney ahead of FPL GW3:

Thomas Frank confirms Toney remains out of contention. ‘I can say Ivan will not play on Saturday. He is training well, in good spirits, and I am happy to answer more questions about him next time.’

Leon Bailey – Aston Villa – 6.5 Midfielder – 3.2 % TSB –

Top FPL GW3 Differential Picks ~ Leon Bailey
  • Leicester City have conceded a huge 13 chances from their Left flank which could massively benefit Bailey, who is a High Upside Player on his day. Also, remember Leicester’s weakness from set pieces, Bailey has a share of corner duties now.
  • Leicester have conceded the Most Shots in the Box in the League (25), the 2nd most Shots (33), the 3rd Most Shots on Target (13), and the most Headed Attempts in the League (12) in the 1st 2 Gameweeks. Could be a field day for the Villa attackers if they can bury their chances.
  • With an xG of 0.25 and an xA of 0.23, Bailey has multiple routes to points. 3 Key Passes and 2 Shots in the Box for Bailey. A brilliant Differential option if you cannot stretch to Watkins for some reason.

Antoine Semenyo – Bournemouth – 5.5 Midfielder – 2.6 % TSB –

Top FPL GW3 Differential Picks ~ Semenyo
  • What a start Semenyo has had for Bournemouth. 1 Goal, 1 Assist, and 13 Points from the 1st 2 Games. He is also Top for xGI (1.96) and Joint Top for Shots (12) in the League. 7 Shots in the Box and has got 1 Big Chance.
  • Very good chance creation numbers with an xA of 1.27, 2 Big Chances created, and 3 Key Passes. Semenyo has taken over as the Talisman of the team in Solanke’s absence.
  • A Depleted Everton backline with lots of injuries have conceded the 2nd Most xGC (3.94) and 2nd most Goals (7). Bournemouth should profit like Brighton and Spurs did in the 1st 2 Gameweeks. If Bournemouth score a couple, expect Semenyo to be involved.

Noni Madueke – Chelsea – 6.5 Midfielder – 8.1 % TSB –

Top FPL GW3 Differential Picks ~ Noni Madueke
  • Madueke performs whenever he plays. He finished last season strongly with 5 Goals and 3 Assists.
  • Palace’s Defensive departures could lead to an unbalanced team against Chelsea who have scored the most Goals in the 1st 2 Gameweeks so far alongside Manchester City. Palace also have a weakness on their left flank which Madueke can exploit.
  • Palace are 5th worst for Shots (27) and Shots in the Box (21). Chelsea do love to score goals at Home and will be targeting to continue their momentum and get their 1st Home win this season. If you cannot get to Palmer and are looking to sell Nkunku, Madueke could be a lowly-owned option for you.

Leif Davis – Ipswich – 4.5 Defender – 1.6 % TSB –

Top FPL GW3 Differential Picks ~ Leif Davis
  • Now is the time for Mckenna & his Ipswich team to shine. With the tough fixtures out of the way, it’s time to unleash the Monster out of the Closet. With a spirited 1st half-performance against Liverpool and a decent start against Man City, do not be surprised if Ipswich get their 1st points at home in Gameweek 3.
  • Fulham’s numbers away from home last season were not the best with only 24 Goals scored and 37 conceded which is bang average in both departments.
  • Leif Davis got 18 Assists and 2 Goals last season and is on set pieces. In the relatively easier games, he puts his best Forward. An absolute favorite of mine from playing Gaffr last season (The Championship Fantasy Game), he is a heart-over-head pick and I predict him to do really well in the next 8 Gameweeks, in terms of attacking returns. Best to buy him at the start of the run, before he becomes popular.

FPL GW3 Ultra Differential Pick (Under 1 % Ownership)

Omari Hutchinson – Ipswich – 5.5 Midfielder – 0.5 % TSB –

Top FPL GW3 Differential Picks ~ Omari Hutchinson
  • Ipswich’s Form Player at the end of last season. He had a decent Game with 0.27 xG against Liverpool where he caused a lot of problems for Liverpool’s Backline.
  • I expect him to start most games as he is a favorite of Mckenna and was bought for big money. He has looked the most threatening Ipswich attacker in the 2 Games so far. A super talented player who should get even better with some great signings beside him like Clarke & Szmodics.
  • Fulham’s average stats away from home and the party atmosphere as Ipswich could bring out the best of the Ipswich players this Gameweek and that is why I have gone with 2 of their players this Gameweek. I will be rooting for them, will you? “Come On Ipswich!!”

That’s it for Gameweek 3. We will be back with 6 More Differentials next Gameweek where we will be hoping to get some positive returns from our current selected Differentials for Gameweek 3.
