Asked during his pre-match press conference at the AXA Training Centre on Friday morning if he had a full squad to pick his line-up from, Slot replied: “Yes, we have.”

• Guardiola says Bobb is having surgery this afternoon and they hope he will be back in 3-4 months
• Pep on his late returners… Kyle Walker, John Stones, Rodrigo, Phil Foden ‘I don’t know yet how ready the players who have returned are: just 2-3 training sessions. We’ll see today and tomorrow. • Eddie Howe on if Alexander Isak can be the Premier League’s top scorer this season: “He has got the talent and ability to be, but he’s going to be competing against all the elite strikers in the league. It is our job to supply him, to give him as many chances as possible.
• Eddie Howe on Callum Wilson: “Callum will miss the first few games of the season. He’s making really good progress. He really feels good and wants to push a bit faster, but we’re just trying to manage him.”

Ange Postecoglou on Dominic Solanke and is he a major signing and does he expect any other major signings: “Yeah, I said last week, I don’t like speculating around this stuff, but Dom was important. Yeah, because even though it was settled, it was a tricky pre-season for us because we had the majority of our back four missing, and we didn’t have a striker because Richy was injured as well. “We only had young Will, so when you don’t have those key elements, you’re trying to build a team but I thought we managed that really well. But I was super pleased to obviously get Dom in, and that’s coincided with Richie coming back, so from that perspective, it does give us a little bit more of a settled look of what the team’s going to look like moving forward.
