Matchday 5 Team Reveal:
- This team will have Quadruple Spain and Quadruple Portugal which is a very risky move considering both the games will be very close and hard to predict- Spain vs Germany and Portugal vs France. Despite using two FTs on midfielders, going without Musiala and Bellingham can backfire heavily as they are highly owned players.
- But with currently inside 2k overall rank, it’s now or never. I have decided to take the gamble and hope Spain and Portugal win or at least one of them win.

MD5 Transfer Plans and Key Notes:
- The first transfer comes in defense with a Netherlands Defender coming in for the suspended Guehi. I have not yet finalized on the move with all the Dutch defenders presenting a strong case for themselves against with good chances of a clean sheet- Van Dijk(Goal threat, Player of the match), De Vrij(Budget, Ball Recoveries), Dumfries(Attacking threat, Upside potential) and Ake(2 assists from 4 games). The alternate option outside Dutch defense I like is Stones assuming England will go through.
- Declan Rice might be a boring pick in FPL but he is a good Differential shout in our team at just 4% TSB. Rice has made 29 ball recoveries from 4 games averaging more than 7 Ball recoveries per game. While it is difficult to predict who scores for England(Saka/Kane/Foden/Bellingham), Rice is someone who is almost guaranteed to get 4 points minimum and can also get a outside the box screamer/Player of the game performance if you are lucky.
Not surprisingly, Rice is also Top for Ball recoveries among Midfielders in Euro 2024.

- Rice– 29
- Kimmich- 19
- Palhinha- 19
- Yuksek- 18
- Kroos- 17
- Kante- 17
- Kadioglu- 17
- Schouten- 16
- Rodri- 15
- Freuler- 14
- Xavi Simons comes in as the final transfer having had 2 assists from 4 games and was unlucky as he scored vs France in group stages and only to be ruled out. This transfer also increases the Dutch coverage as they are likely to go through. Kante is another option for this position as he has ball recoveries and Player of the match in him. Musiala and Bellingham are alternatives if you want to play it very safe.

Captaincy:
Day 1: Day 1 Captaincy is likely to be Mbappe as he has the pace and finishing to hurt the Portugal Defense.
Day 2: Day 2 will be a close call to make if Mbappe fails in Day 1. It will be between Declan Rice(Differential Captain) and Van Dijk/Gakpo(Safe option) based on how my team performs in Day 1 of MD5.
