FanTeam Euro Fantasy Tournament- Rules, Scoring, Prizes & Tips

It has been just 22 days since the PL season got over and it already looks like an eternity. After a crazy and unpredictable FPL season, we now have the Euros starting on June 14th. Fantasy Football managers have something to look forward to. FanTeam have got their crazy £175,000 minimum prize pool event only for the upcoming Euros with just £10 entry and the first prize taking home a life-changing sum of £35,000.

All you need to do is to pick your 15 players based on certain rules, make some changes in between and aim for the top spot. In this blog, we’ll walk you through the Prize pool, Team selection rules, and scoring for this mega event and also reveal our team for the event. Fanteam Euro Fantasy Prize Pool:

The Euro FanTeam tournament is a parting gift from FanTeam to us fantasy football managers- Mimimum £175,000 prize pool event with the winner taking home £35,000 in total. There are cash prizes for the Top 10% finishers overall. As it stands, there are 6572 entries and there are guaranteed returns if you finish in the top 658 ranks.

The Top 10 prizes all look great as it stands for 6572 entries. If you finish 658th as it stands, you will win £47.37 as seen below. This figure will vary as more participants join the league with the Top 10% finishers ending as the winners.

FanTeam Euro Fantasy Game Rules:

As you can see the mega event rules are pretty simple, you’ll have to choose a team of 15 players for the Euros before June 14, 7 PM GMT. You can join in and make changes to the team until the last minute before kickoff.
There are 7 Gameweeks in total – 3 GWs for group stages and 4 for the knockouts- Round of 16, QF, Semis, and Finals.
There is a Wildcard Chip available that you can use at any time in the season to make unlimited changes to your team.
The number of Free transfers and players selected from a single team will vary as the tournament progresses.

Transfers exceeding your available Free Transfers will cost – 4 points each
Your aptain will score twice the points. If he does not play at all, the Vice-captain will get Double the points.

FanTeam Euro Fantasy Scoring System:

As you can see from the above, the scoring is extremely similar to FPL except for few differences.

Main Points scoring Differences compared to FPL:

Points for the player if the team is winning or losing
Extra point if the player plays the full match
Points for the shots on target for every player depending upon the position.
Negative points for Foul resulting in penalty/scoring free kick
+0.5 points for every Goalkeeper save made

We have taken players who are likely to go deep in the tournament and also players like Cancelo who take a lot of shots(Extra points for Shots on target)
All Defenders have attacking potential and are mostly wingback with good fixtures
Talismanic Midfielders like Erisken, Szoboszlai and Bruno Fernandes who are likely to get involved if their team scores.
