Euro Fantasy MD3 – Best Fixtures and Players to Target
Germany vs Switzerland (Group A – 23rd of June)
Germany, the host of the competition, had a great start with 2 wins and scoring 7 goals in their first two matches. Although they are assured of advancing to the next round, they still need to beat Switzerland to finish the group stage as the top team. Their performance in the first two matches has proved they are determined to fight for the trophy, and to achieve that, they should look to do a great job in their final match as well. It’s an advantage that their lineup will be available before the deadline, which can help you pick their starting players.
- I. Gundogan (€7m-MID) & J. Musiala (€8.5m-MID): These two have been the best German attacking assets during the first two matches, as both had returns (goal and/or assists) + Player of the Match awards in those matches.
- K. Havertz (€7.5m-FWD) & F. Wirtz (€7.5m-MID): They couldn’t shine in MD2 like the first round but still have high ceilings in terms of attacking returns. The reason that I like them less fantasy-wise is the concern for minutes as they played fewer minutes compared to Gundogan & Musiala in the first two matches.
- M. Mittelstadt (€4m-DEF): He is still the best German defender you can pick and he proved it with one assist + clean sheet points in the second match against Hungary.

Spain vs Albania (Group B – 24th of June)
Spain are the other team assured to advance to the next round and they did wonderful performances against Croatia and Italy in “Group of Death”. The team have been so sharp in all the positions by having the highest xG in the first two matches (among all teams) and keeping clean sheets in both games. They have now their easiest match of the group stage, which makes their players very appealing to pick despite the expected rotations!
- M. Oyarzabal (€7.5m-MID): He had 4 goals during the last two friendlies just before Euro and now he finally has the chance to start a match and haul as one of the players benefiting from Spain’s rotations.
- D. Olmo (€7.5m-MID): Another Spanish midfielder who has a chance to start the match against Albania and get some points for your team. He maybe hasn’t been as good as Oyarzabal recently, but he always does a great job for the national team.
- A. Grimaldo (€5m-DEF): As one of the best wing-backs in Europe during the last season, he finally has the chance to start the match and prove his quality against Albania.

France vs Poland (Group D – 25th of June)
France will face Poland, the first and only eliminated team of the competition after the second round, in their final match of the group stage. They have been solid in defense during their matches against Austria and Netherlands by keeping two clean sheets. With possible Mbappe return to the squad (after the injury in the first round and then missing one match), they can also be super dangerous against Poland and their recent poor defensive form.
- K. Mbappe (€11m-FWD): He will surely have a lot to play for if he is fit enough to start the match against Poland. Euro competition didn’t start for him as everyone expected and I believe that he will try to show his best performance if he gets enough minutes in the final round of the group stage.
- A. Griezmann (€9m-FWD): Regardless of whether Mbappe starting the match for France or not, he will be a great pick in this matchday. France need to show an acceptable attacking performance and he is one of the main players to make it happen for them.
- T. Hernandez (€5.5m-DEF) & J. Kounde (€5m-DEF): Any French defender will be a good pick in their final match and l like these two a bit more. Hernandez has a lot of attacking potential and Kounde is a ball recovery master for your team.

Netherlands vs Austria (Group D – 25th of June)
Netherlands is the other strong team in Group D next to France and they face Austria in the third round to fight for the top position. In terms of match difficulty, they will play against a tougher team compared to France’s opponent, while they are expected to have similar “Predicted Goals For” and “Predicted Goals Against” in this round.
- C. Gakpo (€7.5m-FWD): In my opinion, he is the best-attacking asset from Netherlands you can get for your team, as he has shown great performances in the last two rounds.
- V. van Dijk (€6m-DEF): The most nailed defender and the captain of the team with attacking threats on set pieces and a ball recovery master.
- J. Frimpong (€5.5m-DEF) & D. Dumfries (€5.5m-DEF): It’s a question that who starts against Austria (probably they both start like the match against France) but they can be such picks, especially Frimpong if he has the same role as the previous match.

Belgium vs Ukraine (Group E – 26th of June)
Group E is the hottest group of the tournament in the last round with 4 teams having 3 points after 2 matches and all fighting to qualify for the next round. Belgium is expected to be the best among them to invest in their attacking and defensive assets, and they have the highest goal scoring & clean sheet probability in MD3. They have been unlucky not to win or draw in their first match, and then in the second round they could show their quality by a win and a clean sheet, and now they must win in their third match against Ukraine.
- R. Lukaku (€9m-FWD): He could probably be the top scorer of the tournament if VAR hasn’t ruled out the three goals he scored as offside. He is the target man for the team and Belgium have a lot to fight for.
- K. De Bruyne (€9.5m-MID) A great performance by one of the best midfielders in MD2 with a goal and Man of the Match award. He is just another Belgian attacking asset you can get with a lot of return potential.
- K. Casteels (€5m-GK) & W. Faes (€4m-DEF): Best defensive players you can own here for the final match against Ukraine. Casteels had a great performance with so many saves potential and Faes is still the best Belgian defender with a high number of ball recoveries.

Portugal vs Georgia (Group F – 26th of June)
Portugal is the other team assured to advance to the next round, and their final match against Georgia will not affect their position in the group. Georgia seems to be the weakest team in group F and I think it’s a great opportunity to take advantage of the potential fantasy points in this game. It’s expected that they are rotations in the lineup for Portugal so that the main players can rest for the next round, and the managers need to focus on the players with a high possibility of starting in this match.
- D. Jota (€8.5m-FWD): With Leao’s suspension and possible rest for Ronaldo, He is predicted to be the main Portuguese striker in the final and easiest match of the group stage.
- D. Dalot (€5m-DEF): We are still not 100% sure who starts in defense, but he or any other player can be a great pick among defenders according to Portugal’s high clean sheet possibility.
