Euro Fantasy MD2 – Best Fixtures and Players to Target
Croatia vs Albania (19th of June)
Despite the 3-0 loss in the first match against Spain, Croatia still has a great chance to win in their second match of the group stage. They even had higher xG and more total shots compared to Spain, but they still couldn’t score a goal in that match. On the other hand, Albania didn’t perform well against Italy and seemed to be one of the weakest teams of the tournament, as it was expected earlier. This is almost the last opportunity for Croatia and I believe that they do their best to show a great play against Albania.
- A. Kramaric (€7.5m-FWD): The best Croatian forward you can get. He really had a lot of attacking threats compared to his teammates during the first match against Spain.
- L. Majer (€6.5m-MID): I think he is the most in-from and the best midfielder you can get from Croatia, as he has the best record for goals and assists recently.
- J. Gvardiol (€5.5m-DEF): He is a bit pricy but I consider him the best defender from Croatia (especially if you use your Limitless chip) while he is capable of attacking returns.
- M. Pongracic (€4m-DEF): The defender who started the first game for Croatia and he is available as the cheapest possible price. A good pick if you cannot afford Gvardiol.
- D. Livakovic (€5m-GK): A reasonable choice as one of your goalkeepers. There is a high chance for Croatia to have a clean sheet against Albania.

Germany vs Hungary (19th of June)
Germany showed a sharp performance by scoring 5 goals in their first match against Scotland. The team is now playing much better compared to their average results during the last year and they play against Hungary, the team that conceded 3 goals from Switzerland in the first round. Hungary were not as good as they were expected in that first match and they seem to have a lot of problems against the host of the competition.
- K. Havertz (€7.5m-FWD): One goal and one assist for one of the best strikers in the game. He is expected to continue his great performance against Hungary.
- J. Musiala (€8.5m-MID): The Player of the Match against Scotland with such a brilliant performance and he is there to gain some points if you pick him.
- F. Wirtz (€7.5m-MID): The cheaper and more popular pick compared to Musiala who also shined in the first match. Having either of them is great, having both is perfect!
- I. Gundogan (€7m-MID): The best midfielder at his price who was unlucky not to gain more points against Scotland. He is still one of the best players in the game in his position.
- M. Mittelstadt (€4m-DEF): Germany was not lucky that they conceded a goal in the first match, but he proved to deserve his huge amount of ownership with the high possibility of a clean sheet + attacking threats in the second round.

England vs Denmark (20th of June)
England is the only team with 3 points in this group while they underperformed as the favorite of the tournament. They could only score 1 goal against Serbia and not so many shots or big chances. Denmark had a draw in their first match against Slovenia and the performance was far away from their glorious campaign three years ago, when they could reach the semi-final. England is expected to perform better this time and I think that they can win against Denmark, but maybe not with a great margin.
- H. Kane (€11m-FWD): As one of the best players in the world, he couldn’t show his great level in the first match, but I believe he is still worth occupying one of the forward spots in your team.
- J. Bellingham (€9.5m-MID): The Player of the Match against Serbia by scoring the winning goal and now we are aware that he is the best English midfielder you can own. He plays the number 10 role just behind Kane which means that he is capable of a lot of attacking returns against Denmark.
- M. Guehi (€4.5m-DEF): A ball recovery master (8 in the first match) who is nailed to start the match and I think he is the best English defender you can get for your team.

Spain vs Italy (20th of June)
Both teams won their first matches, as Spain had a great performance against Croatia and Italy won Albania with the minimum goal difference. Although it seems to be one of the hardest matches in the whole group stage, I guess it might be worth focusing on Spanish attacking assets in this match. Their performance against Croatia can convince you that they are just dangerous and capable of scoring many goals in the match, regardless of who the opponent is.
- L. Yamal (€6.5m-FWD): He showed such a great performance against Croatia in the first match and of course capable of achieving more in the second game. The only issue is that he occupied a forward spot for the round that doesn’t provide an ideal fixture for Spain.
- F. Ruiz (€6.5m-MID): The Player of the Match with one goal and one assist against Croatia who also comes with a good price. He is a good choice for those who believe in players’ “form” to gamble against the majority.
- D. Carvajal (€5.5m-DEF): Probably the best-attacking defender of the game (scored one goal) as he is continuing his recent great form with Spain.

France vs Netherlands (21st of June)
Although it’s not a match that most people consider to pick their fantasy assets, I think this is the only match on the 21st of June that sounds interesting. Both teams won their first match in the group with an acceptable performance while the most interesting player to consider from this match, Kylian Mbappe, was injured against Austria and seems to lose at least 1 match in the group stage.
- A. Griezmann (€9m-FWD): With the absence of Mbappe, I believe he is the main striker of France who can shine again like his great performance during Euro 2016.
- C. Gakpo (€7.5m-FWD): The best-attacking asset from the Netherlands with a brilliant performance during the first match against Poland. He scored one goal and achieved a Man of the Match award in there.

Portugal vs Turkiye (22nd of June)
Portugal seem to have the easiest group among the other favorites in the tournament and they have been recently the most in-form team of them all. It’s predicted that they finish the group stage with the best results and Turkiye don’t look like the team that stop them from achieving that. There are appealing players in different positions from Portugal who can easily find their way to your fantasy team.
- C. Ronaldo (€10m-FWD): Still shining at the age of 39 and thirsty for goals whenever he plays. Portugal is expected to score many goals during the group stage and he is the main striker of the team.
- B. Fernandes (€9m-MID): I assume he is the best fantasy asset (or at least among midfielders) in the game who is involved in most of the goals Portugal scores. He is nailed to play the game and has such an attacking role in the team which provides assist & goal points for his owners.
- J. Cancelo (€6m-DEF): He is one of the best-attacking defenders in the game while there is a high chance of clean sheet points for him.
- D. Costa (€5m-GK): One of the best goalkeepers according to clean sheet odds is available at a very good price and nailed to start the match for Portugal.

Belgium vs Romania (22nd of June)
Despite the unexpected loss to Slovakia in the first round, Belgium will surely be looking for a great victory against Romania. I believe Belgium were somehow unlucky not to win (or at least draw) in their first match while creating so many big chances and scoring 2 goals that were ruled out by VAR. On the other hand, Romania is the team that surprised everyone by winning 3-0 in their first match against Ukraine. The defensive performance of Ukraine was awful and it was the main reason the match ended up with such a result.
- R. Lukaku (€9m-FWD): He was unlucky not to score any goal in the first match while having so many big chances as well as two goals that were disallowed. He always shines as the main striker for Belgium and will be looking to score goals in the second round.
- k. De Bruyne (€9.5m-MID): The best Belgian midfielder who creates most of the chances for his team and had an acceptable performance in the first match.
- W. Faes (€4m-DEF): Another ball recovery master in the game (9) who also comes at the cheapest possible price. He had a solid performance and Belgium have a chance of clean sheet against Romania.
