Euro Fantasy MD1- Best Fixtures and Players to Target
Germany vs Scotland (14th of June)
Germany is looking to have a great start in the opening match as the host of the competition this year. Their team has a great balance of experienced and young stars, especially in the attack.
- K. Havertz (€7.5m-FWD): The best attacking asset from Germany in my opinion who also had great form recently for the club and the national team. The issue with picking him is that he will occupy a precious Forward spot in your team while there are some great options for that.
- F. Wirtz (€7.5m-MID) & I. Gundogan (€7m-MID): The best midfielders you can find from Germany. While Wirtz had a great season with Leverkusen, Gundogan is a bit cheaper and also on penalties.
- M. Mittelstadt (€4m-DEF) & J. Tah (€4.5m-DEF): The best defenders from Germany, and I guess Mittelstadt is a must-own player that you have to pick according to his price.
Italy vs Albania (15th of June)
Italy has one of the easiest fixtures in MD1 and I believe it makes sense to count on their assets against Albania. The priority is focusing on Italian defenders, and then on their attackers (or midfielders) if you are looking for a punt.
- F. Dimarco (€5m-DEF): One of the must-own players of the game for MD1. He is the most nailed Italian defender and is available at a good price.
- Jorginho (€5m-MID): Such a good price for a midfielder who might be on penalties and capable of gaining ball recovery points.
- G. Di Lorenzo (€5.5m-DEF): Second-best Italian defensive asset in my opinion. He is a bit pricy and not as nailed as Dimarco, but still worth gambling.

Netherlands vs Poland (16th of June)
Netherlands has shown a solid performance recently in attack and defense, while they face the team that won’t have their best player and captain, Lewandowski, due to injury.
- V. Van Dijk (€6m-DEF): He is such an attractive pick for MD1 as he scored 2 goals recently during the friendlies and might also be on penalties. In any case, he is one of the top 3 premium defenders you can get for MD1.
- B. Verbruggen (€4.5m-GK): The best cheap defensive asset from Netherlands who is secured to start the match as the goalkeeper.
- D. Dumfries (€5.5m-DEF) & J. Frimpong (€5.5m-DEF): It seems a bit risky to go with either of them since we are not sure who starts the match. Whoever starts (there is a chance that both start!), he will be a great pick with attacking returns potential.
- X. Simons (€7m-MID): There are so many interesting midfielders in the game and Simons is the only one from Netherlands that you can consider.
Fanteam Euro Fantasy Game:
England vs Serbia (16th of June)
England is the favorite of the tournament this year and you really need to focus on their assets. Their team has great options in every position that can’t be ignored for MD1.
- H. Kane (€11m-FWD): One of the must-own players in my opinion who has recently won the European Golden Shoe in his first season with Bayern. There is a high chance that he will finish the competition as one of the top scorers this year.
- J. Stones (€5m-DEF) & M. Guehi (€4.5m-DEF): Two center-backs of the team that are relatively cheap compared to the high clean sheet odds that England own with their solid defense.
- J. Pickford (€5m-GK): Another great defensive option from England and I find him also cheap as he’s been number 1 of the team for a long time.
- J. Bellingham (€9.5m-MID) & P. Foden (€9m-MID) & B. Saka (€8.5m-MID): None of them are among the best premium options as a midfielder for me, but they all had great performances with their club lately. Probably Saka (because of his lower price) and Bellingham (because of his role in the team) are more interesting options than Foden.

Belgium vs Slovakia (17th of June)
Belgium has a relatively easy group and they had a solid performance in the qualification as well as the recent friendly matches.
- R. Lukaku (€9m-FWD): One of the best forwards in the game who was also the top scorer in the qualifications. He has wonderful stats for Belgium and has the potential to deliver in any match that plays for his national team.
- W. Faes (€4m-DEF) & J. Vertonghen (€4.5m-DEF): Two reliable and cheap defenders with easy fixtures in the group stage. I think you just have to go with at least one Belgium Defensive asset.
- K. De Bruyne (€9.5m-MID): One of the best midfielders during the last decade and he recently showed his great quality for the club and national team. For me, he is the second-best premium midfielder you can get.

France vs Austria (17th of June)
France is another favorite of the competition and they have done well in the last two World Cups (winner in 2018 and runner-up in 2022).
- K. Mbappe (€11m-FWD): He must be the first name you pick for your team as he is one of the best players in the world and one of the candidates for top scorer of the competition. This year he leads the team as the captain and I believe he finds his way in every draft, no matter the opponent he faces.
- T. Hernandez (€5.5m-DEF) & J. Kounde (€5m-DEF): These two are the best defenders you can own from France and they both have relatively cheap prices. While Hernandez seems to have a more attacking role in the team, Kounde is capable of gaining more ball recovery points.

Portugal vs Czechia (18th of June)
Portugal is one of the most in-form teams during the last year and this time they have one of the easiest groups of the tournament, which makes some of their players very appealing for your fantasy team.
- B. Fernandes (€9m-MID): I believe he is the best midfielder in the game and the only must-own in his position. He always produces great numbers for Portugal and you simply need to have him in your team.
- C. Ronaldo (€10m-FWD): He is still doing a great job in every match he plays and for sure a great option fantasy-wise. The only concern is about his minutes, which makes Bruno a more interesting pick if you want to only pick one of them.
- J. Cancelo (€6m-DEF): He is an interesting premium defender you can pick for your team because he always plays such an attacking role in the team as well as the potential clean sheet points.
- D. Costa (€5m-GK): Portugal has a lot of chances for some clean sheets during the group stage and their number-one goalkeeper at this price is just a bargain for me.

Honorable Mentions- Players to Target for MD1
There are also some other players (especially midfielders) worth considering for MD1:
- D. Szoboszlai (€7m-MID): The talisman of Hungary who is on pens, corners and free kicks. (vs Switzerland 15th of June)
- X. Shaqiri (€6.5m-MID): The talisman of Switzerland who is on pens, but there is concern about his minutes. (vs Hungary 15th of June)
- C. Eriksen (€7m-MID): The talisman of Denmark who is on pens, corners and free kicks. (vs Slovenia 16th of June)
- J. Maehle (€5.5m-DEF): The best defender from Denmark with great attacking return potential (vs Slovenia 16th of June)
- A. Lunin (€4.5m-GK): Number 1 for Ukraine with great form recently. (vs Romania 17th of June)
- G. Sudakov (€6.5m-MID): The best Ukrainian attacking asset at the moment with great form. (vs Romania 17th of June)
- H. Calhanoglu (€6.5m-MID): The talisman of Turkiye who is on pens, corners and free kicks. (vs Georgia 18th of June)
