Matchday 2 of EURO 2024 has recently concluded and Euro Fantasy Matchday 3 will begin tomorrow! In this article, we will focus on a Limitless team selection to help those looking at using the chip this matchday. Playing the Limitless chip allows you to make unlimited free transfers for that matchday with no budget restrictions. Once the matchday has finished, your squad will revert to how it was before you played your Limitless chip, but this time around we go straight into unlimited transfers for the Round of 16!

The above graphics paint a clear picture of the teams to target for the most goals in MD3:
FIXTURE | PROJECTED GOALS |

Spain vs. Albania | 2.10 |
England vs Slovenia | 2.10 |
Belgium vs. Ukraine | 1.95 |
Germany vs. Switzerland | 1.85 |
Denmark vs Serbia | 1.60 |
Now let’s analyze the top 5 teams to target based on the highest Clean Sheet Probabilities:
TEAM | CLEAN SHEET ODDS % |
England | 52% |
France | 50% |
Spain | 44% |
Portugal | 42% |
Germany | 38% |
Likely Rotation & Teams that have something to play for in MD3:
Historically the last matchday of any tournament is always rotation-heavy, with some teams already securing their Round of 16 spot, or other teams such as Poland in this tournament already being eliminated. Therefore, we must be prepared for that and be smart selecting our picks for this week.
We will get the Germany vs. Switzerland and the Scotland vs. Hungary lineups this matchday. While we won’t be targeting many assets from the latter fixture, we should be around before the deadline to confirm our Germany assets.
So, within this article, we will only focus on players who have something to play for, especially for the captaincy. We will also be able to take some safe but wild punts this matchday because it will most likely be the last time to gain any significant rank. This is because when the R16 begins, all fantasy teams will look very similar, with less options to choose from.
Euro Fantasy MD3 – Best Fixtures And Players To Target
Considering all the above keynotes, let’s finally get into the Team Selection:
EURO Fantasy Matchday 3 Limitless Draft
Goalkeepers:
England has the highest probability to get a clean sheet in MD3 (52%) followed by Portugal who has the second highest probability (50%). Therefore, we are keeping it simple by opting for Pickford and Costa who are two solid goalkeepers to back in MD3.

Defenders:
Mittelstädt: We recommended the budget gem in our defenders article prior to the tournament starting, and also in our MD2 Limitless draft last week, where he awarded managers with an assist and a clean sheet. We will get the Germany lineup so once he’s starting, we see no reason to go without him in MD3.
Guehi: Consistent for ball recoveries picking up 8 in MD1, and 9 in MD2. We are preferring the double-up with Pickford to back the England clean-sheet odds this week. Even if there is rotation, Guehi should be a safe pick at the heart of the England defence.
Cancelo (or Dalot): In a similar fashion to the above, we are doubling up and backing the Portugal clean sheet odds with Costa and Cancelo. If our picks on the previous days disappoint, this should provide two solid defensive substitute options on the last day of MD3. Portugal play in the last game of MD3, so if you think Cancelo might be a risk for rotation, then we recommend selecting Dalot instead.
Grimaldo: We expect Spain to rotate heavily in MD3 since they are qualified and guaranteed top spot on their group. Cucurella should be given a rest and Grimaldo is the only alternative left back. He’s very attacking and should be on some set pieces so there is a good chance of attacking returns there also.
Theo Hernandez: Should be a lock in MD3 limitless. Over the first 2 matchdays, Theo has the highest npxG+xAG (0.9) amongst all defenders and France has also kept two clean sheets.

Alternatives to consider in defence:
One of Van Dijk, Dumfries or Frimpong, should you prefer to drop any of the above defenders.
Midfielders:
The Limitless midfield picks itself: Musiala, Gundogan, Oyarzabal, Eriksen, and Kevin De Bruyne.
Bruno Fernandes doesn’t make it due to Portugal playing on the last day of MD3, and there is a high chance of rotation since they are already through to the R16.

Forwards:
Mbappé was back on the France bench in their 0-0 draw against the Netherlands in MD2, which bodes well for him being back in the starting lineup in MD3 as they will be aiming to top their group. Kane and Lukaku take up the other two striker spots.
Mbappe update:
An alternative option such as Jota or Mitrovic could be considered in the third striker spot, but we have opted for Lukaku in this draft because Belgium still has all to play for against Ukraine in MD3, with all teams in Group E now on 3 points each!
Captaincy options for each day of MD3:
Do check out our detailed captaincy blog with predicted goals from each game
- Day 1: Musiala (or Gundogan)
- Day 2: Oyarzabal
- Day 3: Mbappe (or Kane)
- Day 4: Lukaku (or De Bruyne)
