Euro Fantasy Knockouts Basics

• An additional €5 Million is available to managers to build their team for the knockout phase(Total budget €105 Million
•  Transfers don’t carry over between knockout stages
• You’ll also not get any extra transfers if your player is knocked out
• Players will keep scoring points throughout extra time.
• Players who play 120 minutes don’t get double points for appearance or clean sheet (2 x 60 minutes).
• No points will be awarded from penalty shootouts
• Maximum of four players from the same team in Round of 16, 5 in QFs, 6 in SFs and 8 in Finals
• Unlimited transfers ahead of Round of 16, 3 free transfers ahead of QF, five each ahead of semi-finals and finals

Draft without Wildcard – 1:

• Yamal and Nico Williams from the Spanish attack, Spain have the highest predicted goals(2.84) in MD4 against Georgia
• Spain have had 12 big chances in three games which is the highest amongst all teams in the group stages. Georgia meanwhile have conceded an xG of 8.12 in the three games so far, the highest amongst all teams
• Sabitzer ended the group stages strongly and had the higher xGI (npxG+xA) in the group stage in comparison with Baumgartner. (More on Sabitzer in our differentials blog)
• Cucurella, Guehi, and Kounde are all ball recovery magnets and could get decent returns even if they lose the clean sheet
• Germany are expected to play Fullkrug which increases the potential of Mittelstadt assist through his crossing
• Xavi Simons and Van Dijk are exciting options on the last day of MD4 as they play Romania

Draft without Wildcard – 2:

• Double up on Austrian midfielders in Sabitzer and Baumgartner, Austria have the 2nd highest predicted goals in MD4(2.42) and the game vs Turkey should be a high-scoring one.
• Double Portugal and Spain attackers in Bruno and Ronaldo from Portugal and Nico Williams + Fabian Ruiz
• Pepe had is a ball recovery magnet going under the radar, the Portuguese legend has 17 ball recoveries in just 2 games averaging 8.5 ball recoveries in a game.
• We have gone with Pickford and Costa as GKs on this Draft as they have good chances for clean sheet as well as progressing deep in the tournament. Pickford and Maignan is also a good combination as they play on different days and are also on different sides of the draw meaning you will have 2 GKs(Playing on Different days) if they progress deep into the tournament.

Drafts with Wildcard – 1:

Having the Wildcard chip allows you to attack the round of 16 fixtures and use the Wildcard either in the Quarterfinals(MD5) or Semifinals(MD6). Tripling/Quadruple on England, Spain and Portugal can help you attack the fixtures. Here’s a draft for MD4 with the wildcard chip in hand.

Drafts with Wildcard – 2:

• If you are on Wildcard, you could take enough risks with and pick players like Mwene(vs Turkey). Mwene(4.5 DEF) had 11 ball recoveries in the first game vs France. In the second game, he got an assist and 5 Ball recoveries in just 63 minutes.
• You can also focus on lower owned players like Akanji and Karnicnik who are ball recovery magnets. Even if they don’t qualify for the next round- There is a Wildcard to save you.
