Cristiano Ronaldo (€10m) – Portugal
The 39-year-old striker presently holds the record for the most UEFA Euro appearances (25) and is also the leading goal scorer in the competition, with 14 goals. Cristiano Ronaldo helped Portugal qualify for the Euros by scoring ten goals and assisting twice.
Based on our metrics from the qualifiers, Ronaldo played 725 minutes for Portugal, taking 46 shots and having a non-penalty goal per 90 rate of 0.87. The experienced Portuguese veteran will be a player to keep an eye on this summer, as he looks to break his own Euro goal-scoring record.
Total Shot Taken by a Forward in Euro Qualifiers:
- Ronaldo – 46
- Mbappe – 38
- Lewandowski – 32
- Lukaku – 28

Romelu Lukaku (€9m) – Belgium
Coming off a brace scored in the recent friendly game against Luxembourg for Belgium, Romelu Lukaku has been a hot topic in the FPL community.
This comes as no surprise. The Belgian forward had 15 attacking returns in the Euro Qualifiers, leading the goal-scoring charts with 14 goals. Our data shows Lukaku played 549 minutes, took 29 shots, and amassed the highest non-penalty goals per 90 of 1.98. On paper, Romelu Lukaku is the best striker to select for Belgium’s first fixture against Slovakia.
Top Players for Non Penalty Goals/90 in Euro Qualifiers:
- Lukaku– 1.98
- Amdouni- 1.11
- Hojlund- 1.06
- Barnbas Varga- 0.97
- McTominay- 0.96
- Ronaldo- 0.87
Fanteam Euro Fantasy Game:
Kylian Mbappe (€11m) – France
Kylian Mbappe, the former 2018 World Cup winner and 2022 World Cup top goal scorer, returns to the precipice of another international event, this time as France’s captain.
During the Euro Qualifiers, Mbappe took 38 shots, played 656 minutes, scored 9 goals, and contributed 6 assists for Les Bleus. Kylian Mbappe appears to be the all-round player to rely on for fantasy points, as he can both score and create for his teammates. He will be vying to get on the score sheet in the first fixture against Austria.

Harry Kane (€11m) – England
After his huge exploits for Bayern Munich, including winning the Golden Shoe award for most goals scored across the top five leagues in Europe, Harry Kane’s pedigree cannot be questioned on the international stage.
The England skipper scored 8 goals and provided 2 assists for the Three Lions during the qualifiers. He played 607 minutes, took a surprisingly low total of 16 shots, and averaged 2 shots per game. England, coming in as huge favorites to win the contest, will boost Harry Kane’s aura to have a strong start against Serbia in Matchday 1.
Honorable Mentions: Antoine Griezmann of France has been a trusted player for the French side for most of his international career. Excelling in taking most of the team’s set-pieces, he could be a compelling option worth considering in future gameweeks.

Mid-Priced Euro Fantasy Forwards
Morata (€8.5m) – Spain
The 31-year-old Spaniard, Alvaro Morata, stood out as his nation’s top goal scorer during the Euro qualifiers. He took a total of 14 shots, converting four goals. With 461 minutes played, Morata is the standout striker to invest in when considering Spain assets. Facing Croatia next, La Roja’s main man could be a valuable pick for Matchday 1.

Kai Havertz (€7.5m) – Germany
Making 46 appearances for Germany, scoring 16 goals and supplying 14 assists. The Arsenal forward was in explosive form for his club in 2024, and the Germans will be relying on King Kai to duplicate similar form for the national team.
Taking on Scotland in the opening match on June 14, hosts Germany will want to bolster their title claim, and Havertz is an appealing option for Matchday 1.

Rasmus Hojlund (€7.5m) – Denmark
The 21-year-old Danish striker was very influential during the Euro qualifiers for his nation, contributing seven goals. Rasmus Hojlund was the top for shots for Denmark amassing 23 shots, having a high non-penalty/90 of 1.06. The clinical poacher will be relied on to return big when taking on Slovenia in the opening game for Group C.

Benjamin Šeško (€7m) – Slovenia
It would be naive to underestimate Slovenian attacker Benjamin Sesko, who scored 5 goals on just 15 shots and also provided two assists during the qualifiers. Averaging 1.7 shots per game and playing a total of 754 minutes, the Dragons forward is safe for secure minutes and could turn into a unstoppable force for his country.

Budget-friendly Euro Fantasy Forwards
Barnabás Varga (€6m) – Hungary
With two goals and one assist in Hungary’s recent international friendly against Israel, Barnabás Varga is proving he should not be overlooked in our fantasy teams.
The 31-year-old scored four goals for Magyarok in the qualifying stages, amassing a non-penalty goals per 90 minutes rate of 0.97, which is higher than some elite strikers like Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe. His anticipation and positioning in front of the goal are admirable, making him a joy to watch for Hungary. I predict Barnabás Varga could be one of the top scorers in Matchday 1 when they take on Switzerland.

Lamine Yamal (€6.5m) – Spain
Lamine Yamal, although only 16 years old, has established himself as a generational star to watch in the upcoming UEFA Euros. With a near-perfect performance in the recent international friendly against Northern Ireland, Yamal created five big chances and contributed two assists in Spain’s 5-1 victory.
The wonderkid, now reclassified as a forward in the Euro Fantasy game, appears to be an optimal pick for those looking to avoid expensive forwards. He is likely to play more than 70 minutes whenever he features for Spain and a compelling choice for Matchday 1 against Croatia.
