FPL GW26 Scout Picks
FPL GW26 Scout Picks – Goalkeeper
Onana might be a slightly surprising pick in goal. But Manchester United have been in good form with 4 wins from the last 4 games. Onana has 15 points from the last 3 games with one clean sheet. Playing Fulham at home, there are good chances of a clean sheet this week.
Of late, Fulham have been struggling for goals with just 8 goals from the last 9 games- Ranking 19th in the League for Goals scored during this time. Their underlying attack numbers are also poor as they rank 17th for Big Chances and 18th for xG since GW17.

FPL GW26 Scout Picks – Defenders
Cash up against Forest(H) is the first defender pick. With Konsa and Carlos ruled out for Forest game, Cash is almost nailed to start this fixture. Despite not being a regular starter in recent weeks, Cash always carries good attacking threat when he plays as suggested by his 6.1 xGI from 22 appearances this season.
In fact, Cash is Top among Defenders this season for Big Chances(6) and xG(3.98). If you are looking for a one week defender punt before WC27, Cash is a great option!
Rayan Ait Nouri can be a good differential pick for GW26 and beyond with returns potential on either side of the pitch. He plays as a LWB with good attacking threat and takes up great attacking positions during attacks. Up against Sheffield at home, there is clean sheet potential as well as they are ranked 20th in the league for Goals scored(22) and Non Penalty xG(20.52).
Matchup alert: Sheffield United are Top for Chances conceded down their right flank(left zone) in the league this season. As seen in the heatmap above Ait Nouri thrives in that position and would be looking to make most of this matchup.
Gabriel rounds up the defense despite having a slightly tough fixture vs Newcastle. With 3 attacking returns(2 goals, 1 assist) from the last 5 games, Gabriel always carries aerial threat on set pieces. Arsenal are easily the best defensive side in the league at the moment- Most Clean Sheets(10), Least Goals conceded(22), Least xGC(18.45) and Least Big Chances conceded(27).
As seen above, Gabriel has 5 Big Chances since GW12- Highest among all Defenders during this time. During this time Gabriel is also Top for xG(2.7), 2nd Highest for Shots inside the box(15) among Defenders.
FPL GW26 Scout Picks – Midfielders
Saka is the Top Midfield pick for Gameweek 26. He has been in scintillating form to say the least with 6 goals, 49 points from the last 4 games averaging more than 12 points/game. His underlying numbers are also excellent.
Saka Stats since GW22:
- Matches- 4
- Shots inside the box- 13(3rd)
- Big Chances- 6(4th)
- xGI- 5.0(1st)
- Goal Involvements- 6(2nd)
- FPL Points- 49(1st)
Newcastle might look like a tough fixture on paper, but their defense has been poor for a while now. They have conceded 27 goals from the last 11 games conceding 2.45 goals/game on an average. It is not that they have been unlucky, their underlying numbers also approve of the same.
Newcastle Defense Rank since GW15:
- Big Chances conceded- 20th
- Expected Goals Conceded- 20th
- Shots conceded- 19th
- Goals conceded- 20th
Kevin De Bruyne returned with only 2 points in GW26 as he missed the 2nd game of the Double GW to disappoint his owners. But Pep Guardiola confirmed that it was just a precaution suggesting he should be good for GW26. KDB has 1 goal, 4 assists from 5 games since his return from injury.
Hwang Hee Chan is the explosive pick for this week with a tempting fixture vs Sheffield United at Home. From 21 appearances(18 starts), Hee Chan has got 13 attacking returns- 10 goals, 3 assists to fetch 102 points. His underlying data is also impressive with 8.6 xGI, 16 Big Chance Involvements this season. He is in fact Top among Big Chances/90 among Midfielders at less than 6.5 million.
It can’t get better than a fixture vs SHU at home. They are ranked 20th for Goals conceded, 19th for xGC and Big Chances conceded this season. At just 5.5 million, he is an explosive pick for this week and also a set and forget player for the rest of the season.
Adingra made his return to the Brighton line up for GW25 in some fashion scoring 2 goals for a massive 15 point haul. At just 5.0 million, Adingra can be a good budget pick for the GW26 and beyond. Everton have conceded 24 chances from their left zone over the last 6 matches which is the third highest among all the teams during this time. As seen below, Adingra operates there and would love this matchup!

FPL GW26 Scout Picks – Forwards
Haaland takes up the arm band in the our GW26 Scout Selection. Haaland got only 10 points(1 goal) across 2 games in DGW25. But the underlying numbers tell a different story- 13 Shots inside the box, 4 Big Chances, 2.57 xG across these 2 games. He was unlucky to not get a big haul.
Up against a Bournemouth side in GW26 who are winless in their last 6 games with 0 clean sheets and 14 goals conceded, Haaland would be looking to make amends.
Ivan Toney has been in good from since his return from the ban with 4 goals, 1 assists from 6 games. He has blanked only twice in these 6 games with both blanks coming vs Man City which is a difficult fixture. Toney is up against a West Ham side in GW26 who are winless in last 6 games(3 draws, 3 losses). West Ham have conceded 3.33 Big Chances/90 during this run which is the 4th worst among all teams. We all know that Toney does not need a second invitation to score if big chances come his way.
Toney since his return from the ban:
- GW21 vs Forest- Goal, 8 points
- GW22 vs Tottenham- Goal, Assist, 10 points
- GW23 vs Man City- 2 points
- GW24 vs Wolves- Goal, 6 points
- DGW25 vs Liverpool, Man City- Goal, 7 points
Watkins rounds up the GW26 Scout Team. 13 goals, 14 FPL assists from 25 games is the stuff of FPL dreams which Watkins has managed to achieve this season. With a confirmed fixture in both GW26 and GW29, Watkins should be a no-brainer pick and Top Transfer Target if you don’t own him yet. To add to this the fixture run till GW29 for Watkins is also really good- Forest(H), Luton(A), Spurs(H), West Ham(A).
