Goal Keepers
Emi Martinez(2020/21) Price: 4.5 million, Points: 187
Emi Martinez was an FPL hero before he became a World Cup hero. During the 2020/21 season, Martinez racked up 15 clean sheets, 27 bonus points to finish with 186 points. He came extra-ordinarily close to beating Friedel’s all-time record of 187 points to feature in the All-time FPL Dream Team. Martinez finished the season at 5.3 million.
Michel Vorm(2011/12) Price: 4.0 million, Points: 158
Vorm started the season as a 4.0 million keeper as Swansea was just promoted into the Premier League. But soon he was an FPL favorite as Swansea played good football and kept clean sheets as well. Despite getting only 3 bonus points all season, Vorm finished with 158 FPL points. Vorm racked up 143 saves and 14 clean sheets which saw him rise up to 5.2 million at the end of the season. Joe Hart was the Highest Scoring Goalkeeper that season with 166 points.
Defenders
John Lundstram(2019/20) Price: 4.0 million, Points: 144
Lundstram is FPL’s 4.0 million cult hero. Lundstram got 10 clean sheets, 5 goals, 4 assists, and 15 bonus points to reach 144 FPL points. Lundstram started only 26 games but averaged 5 points per start. The most memorable Lundstram moment has to be the 21-point haul in GW11 vs Burnley- 2 goals and clean sheet.
Stuart Dallas(2020/21), Price: 4.5 million, Points: 171
Dallas started the season at 4.5 million. Soon he was there in everyone’s FPL teams due to his attacking potential. Dallas started all the 38 games, got 8 goals, 3 assists, 15 bonus points, and 171 points to finish as the Highest scoring FPL Defender in the 2020/21 season– Ahead of TAA, Robertson, James, Chilwell, etc. He finished the season at 5.5 million.
His best performance was the 17-point haul in GW31 vs Man City. Not surprisingly, many FPL managers benched him that week as there was no clean sheet potential for Leeds. Little did they know that they would get 2 goals from their 4.5 million defender.
FPL rectified their mistake and re-classified Dallas as a 5.5 million midfielder next season.
Gareth Mcauley(£4.0m in 2011/12, £4.5m in 2016/17)
In his first-ever Premier League season, Mcauley started as a 4.0 million budget enabler, started 37/38 games for West Brom, and finished with 100+ points.

It went only upwards in the subsequent seasons- a 7.5 million price tag in the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons. TAA finished the 2022/23 season priced at a staggering 8.4 million.
