FPL GW32 Free Hit Guide
FPL GW32 Fixtures
FPL GW32 is a blank gameweek with Man City, Man United, Brighton, and Chelsea all blanking. This means there are 8 confirmed fixtures and two blanks.
FPL Free Hit Chip Usage So Far:
Only 28.43% of managers have used the free hit chip in the top 10k so far and 42.8% have used the free hit chip in the overall sample this means that there will be quite a lot of managers who’ll be on free hit this week.(Data via Livefpl.net)
Pros of FPL GW32 Free Hit
- Retain your original team consisting of players from Man City, Brighton, and Man United without worrying about the blank. Man City and Man United will have two more double gameweeks before the end of the season. Brighton will have three more double gameweeks before the end of the season.
- Target teams with good fixtures in FPL BGW32, for instance, Arsenal will play Southampton at home, and Liverpool will play Nottingham Forest at home.
- Liverpool defenders could be brought without the risk as one-week options on Free Hit and if they don’t do well it will still be only a one-week punt. If they do well then you can consider them for their double in GW34.
- Target in-form players like Solanke, Eze, Martinelli, and Jesus who are not part of a lot of teams at the moment.
Cons of FPL GW32 Free Hit
- Free hitting in GW32 would mean you’ll not be able to use the chip in FPL DGW34 where 6 teams double(Listed above)
- A lot of managers will be on a Bench Boost in GW34 or would have wildcarded in GW33 and be in a better position for GW34 which means going with just your normal team would mean a heavier chance for a red arrow if your team doesn’t match the Free hitters/GW33 Wildcard + GW34 Bench boosters/GW33 Wildcarders.
Here’s a rough FPL GW34 Free Hit Draft:
Compare how far your team is off this potential FPL GW34 draft to this potential free hit draft to see if FPL DGW34 free hit is worth it for your team.
Main argument to use Free Hit in GW32 not use in GW34 is that you will require the players who Double in GW34(Haaland, Brighton mids, Rashford, Shaw, Grealish, Salah) not just for GW34 but for the upcoming Doubles in GW36/GW37 as well. So it would be better to get them through Free transfer/Hits instead of getting them only on Free Hit.
Where else can Free Hit be used?
- Gameweek 34- 6 Teams Double(City, United, Liverpool, Brighton, Fulham, West Ham)
- Gameweek 37- 4 teams likely to Double(Man City, Man United, Chelsea, Brighton)
All the Double Gameweeks and Blank Gameweeks till the end of the season are explained in simple terms below-

FPL GW32 Free Hit Goal Keeper & Defenders:
Since making his long-awaited Palace debut against Leeds in GW30, Sam Johnstone has registered 11 saves in just two games. He got the clean sheet too against Southampton in GW31 for a 9-pointer which included a save point and two bonus. Palace face Everton at home and also have the 3rd highest odds of a clean sheet(45%) in GW32(Data from Drafthound). He’s owned by just 0.4% of managers as well currently!
Liverpool will be playing Nottingham Forest at home in FPL GW32 and this season even though Liverpool have been inconsistent they always play well at home. Moreover, Forest are very poor away from home scoring only 5 goals in 15 away games(Lowest in the league) while conceding 36 goals(Second most in the league) this season.
A double defence is a very good option going back to the good old days of a Salah, TAA and Robbo triple-up.
From an attacking point of view, TAA and Robertson are the top two for xA, and big chances created amongst defenders in the last nine games. TAA also is averaging 6.24 points per 90 which is also the highest amongst defenders.

Trippier and Newcastle’s defensive numbers have dropped a bit over the last few weeks having kept only one clean sheet in the last 10 games conceding 13 goals during the period from an xGC of 12.9. Their xGC conceded(12.9) is however the third best bettered only by Man City and Brighton’s defence. At home, Newcastle are still a great team and in their last home game, they defeated Man United comfortably, 2-0, and kept a clean sheet.
FPL GW32 Free Hit Attackers:
Arsenal attack have always got goals in it and in the last three games since starting after the injury, Jesus has scored four goals from an xG of 2.73. His 6 big chances in the last 4 games is also the joint highest amongst all players during the period.
Martinelli since GW24 has blanked only once and has the most points during the period(72 pts) from 7 goals and 3 assists. He is in amazing form, playing with Jesus is also advantageous for Martinelli with the duo having an excellent linkup.
Saka missed a penalty and it proved to be a disastrous result for Saka owners in GW31. He’s had a few quiet games but with Arsenal defence leaking goals it’s better to maybe punt on a triple Arsenal attack with Saka, Martinelli, and Jesus as they’ll be looking to bounce back to winning ways at the Emirates on Friday night.
Salah owners have been a bit unfortunate in the last few weeks after he missed two penalties. He’s surely an essential on a FPL GW32 Free Hit, over the last 10 games he has an xGI of 9.0 which is the 2nd best in the league only bettered by Watkins. He’s also been creating chances regularly for his teammates which can be seen his xA(3.15, 4 big chances created).
Salah at Home is altogether a different beast. Since the World Cup, Salah has 5 goals, 2 assists(from xGI of 7.2), 50 points from 6 home games averaging 8.33 points per game.
Eze has been a vital player for Palace since Roy became Palace manager once again in GW29. In the three games under Roy, Eze has been involved in the most goals(4- 3 goals, and an assist) and his xGI is 2nd amongst Palace attackers. Eze offers a good goal threat and also offers a decent assist potential, he’s our 5th midfielder in this draft.
Since GW23 Bournemouth have recorded an xG per game of 1.38 much higher than their season average of 1.07 in spite of the fact that they faced tough opponents during the period including the likes of Man City, Arsenal, Brighton, Newcastle, Liverpool, and Aston Villa). The Cherries have also failed to score only twice in the last 10 games(vs Villa and Brighton). Solanke in the last four games is 2nd amongst all players for xGI(4.2) registering 2 goals and 2 assists during the period.
Solanke in the last four games amongst all players: Goals: 2 Assists: 2 xG: 2.81 (3rd highest) Shots: 15 (2nd highest) Shots inside the box: 15 (Highest) Shots on Target: 7 (3rd Highest) Big Chances: 5(2nd highest) Big Chances created: 2 Key Passes: 4 xA: 1.42 xGI: 4.2(2nd Highest) FPL Points: 28(Joint 5th)
Watkins in the last 12 games has blanked only once scoring 11 goals and 3 assists during the period. He’s also the only player to have a double-digit xGI(11.1) during the period. Aston Villa are in sensational form and Watkins is a no-brainer option on the FPL GW32 Free Hit.
Matchup alert- Watkins is up against a Brentford side who have conceded 23 chances through the center over the last 6 matches which is the Highest in the league.
FPL Gameweek 32 Captaincy Poll
The metrics had a 30/38 “returns record” last season and so far has a 25/30 “returns record” this season. Do vote in this week’s captaincy poll and this week’s captaincy metrics will be done based on the top five players in the captaincy poll
FPL GW32 Free Hit Draft 2
- A slightly different draft with White and Two Arsenal attackers in the draft
- Isak also take the third striker spot ahead of Solanke in this draft. Spurs did look poor and conceded lots of chances through the center which could benefit Isak.
- This draft involves a double Liverpool attack of Salah and Gakpo. Gakpo operates as a striker, but is listed as a midfielder in the game. Gakpo did look good in the 1-6 thumping over Leeds with a goal and assist for 10 FPL points.
- If you are not confident to start Eze, you can get in Maddison with lots of money available in the bank.
- Maddison was unlucky not to return vs Man City and showed good signs from an FPL point of view, Leicester also looked good in the closing stages of the game after Iheanacho grabbed a goal. Against Man City, Madders had 3 shots, one big chance, xG of 0.47, and made two key passes. A home game in GW32 with Tielemans also returning makes Leicester’s midfield look good once again and they’ll be hoping for a much-needed victory over Wolves.
FPL GW32 Free Hit Draft 3
- A draft with Kane who has been scoring consistently this season. Front 3 of Kane, Solanke, Watkins.
- Differential with high upside midfield of Arsenal trio- Martinelli, Odegaard, Saka. After dropping points against West Ham, they would look to go all out and get 3 points vs Southampton to not let away the title slip away from them.
- Alex Moreno is an excellent Differential who has 42 points from last 7 matches averaging 6 points/game with 5 clean sheets and 2 assists.
FPL GW32 Free Hit Draft 4
- All out Attack draft with Triple Liverpool and Arsenal attack. This draft has a high upside with getting attackers from the 2 of the Top 4 attacking sides in the league. Home games for these teams is also an added bonus where the scoreline could be really huge if these teams get going. If you are chasing ranks this strategy could work well as you are putting yourself in a position to get lucky.
- The draft is completed by Differential players in defense as well- Moreno, Double Palace Defense.
- Jota got 2 goals, 1 assist and 16 point vs Leeds United and is still owned by less than 1% TSB. He could be an excellent ultra-differential pick for GW32. Liverpool attackers did have a field day in GW30- All of them getting returns. This should boost their confidence walking into GW32.
