UCL Fantasy Round of 16- Match by Match Preview

The letters in the bracket are the form of teams in their last 5 matches – all competitions (Win-Draw-Lost).

For players: G is for Goal and A is for Assist.

PSG (L-L-W-W-D) vs Bayern (W-W-W-D-D)

Bayern is looking sharper than PSG these days, especially as we still don’t know if two Forwards with the highest UCL Fantasy scores (Mbappe & Messi) will be fit to start the match. Luckily this match is one of the first matches and we can see the lineups before the deadline.

• Mbappe (€11.3m) & Messi (€10.6m) – if they are fit to play

Midfielders:

Bayern has some interesting midfielders which makes it hard to choose!

• Sane (€9.3m) 2G in his last 4 – one of the best UCL Fantasy assets in recent years!
• Kimmich (€6.7m) 1G&2A in his last 4

Not expecting a clean sheet from this match, but there is still some options:

• Cancelo (€6.7m) 2A in his last 3 – maybe the best UCL Fantasy defender in recent years, and now in Bayern!
• Davies (€5.4m) 1G&1A in his last 3 – cheaper Cancelo replacement as a Differential
• Hakimi (€6.0m) 1G&2A in has last 4 – only interesting defending asset from Parisian side

Milan (W-L-L-L-L) vs Tottenham (L-W-W-W-L)

Milan is in such an awful form recently, which makes them the weaker side against Tottenham with their average performance in the latest weeks.

Forwards:

• Kane (€10.5m) the number one for Tottenham who delivers most of the times
• Giroud (€8.0m) 2G in his last 3 – the only interesting asset from Milan

Midfielders:

• Son (€10.5m) the risky and differential replacement for Kane

Defenders & Goalkeepers:

Any defending option from Tottenham can be interesting, especially their fullbacks like Perisic (€6.0m). We can see the lineups for this match so we can be sure who will start.

Chelsea is spending such bad days which makes none of their assets interesting for this round. On the other hand, Dortmund is one of two teams of the round with 5 out of 5 wins in their last matches.

Club Brugge (D-D-W-D-D) vs Benfica (L-W-W-W-W)

Benfica was one of the best teams during the group stage and they are showing sharp in their recent matches, while Club Brugge seems not to have the same quality as the first half of the season.

Midfielders:

• Joao Mario (€6.1m) 5G&1A in his last 4!
• Guedes (€7.5m) 2G&1A in his last 5 as Goncalo Ramos (injured) replacement

The final of the last season repeats, as Liverpool is spending maybe their worst form in the recent years and Real Madrid recently won FIFA Club World Cup and will play with confidence against the team they never lose to in their last 5 matches.

Frankfurt (L-W-W-D-D) vs Napoli (W-W-W-W-L)

Napoli seems to be the sharpest team among all European teams in domestic leagues right now, while Frankfurt does look so average this season.

Forwards:

• Osimhen (€7.9m) 5G in his last 4
• Muani (€7.0m) 6G&1A in his last 5 – the only interesting asset from the German side

Midfielders:

• Kvaratskhelia (€5.9m) 3G&4A in his last 4!!

The odds is all for Napoli, so at least one option seems mandatory.

Both teams are in a good shape, which makes it difficult to select among their assets.
