FPL GW22 Scout Picks
FPL GW22 Scout Picks- Goalkeeper
Ramsdale make a return to the scout picks after a long time, Arsenal have one of the best defence in the premier league at the moment and they play one of the worst attack this season(Everton). Arsenal have the second-best odds of a CS(52%), and Everton have the 2nd worst home record with only 13 goals in 10 home games.
Since the restart, Arsenal have conceded only 5 goals(2 clean sheets) from an xGC of 6.0 in 5 games even after playing tricky opposition in Newcastle, Brighton, Man United, and Spurs which further proves how good Arsenal’s defence is at the moment.

FPL GW22 Scout Picks Defenders
Luke Shaw was back for Man United in the Carabao cup 2nd leg game after missing a few games due to illness. He’s a no-brainer option this week on our scout picks with a double gameweek.
Man United have conceded just 5 goals and kept 5 CS in 9 home games this season with only Newcastle having a better home record than Man united.
Both the games in the double are at home for Man united which gives excellent CS potential for Shaw, he’s also good attacking-wise, and from a bonus perspective making him the go-to option from Man united’s defence.
Brighton’s Estupinan is our 2nd defender in this week’s scout picks, he picked up two assists in the last game vs Leicester and also assisted the winner in the FA Cup win over Liverpool. He’s assisted 3 of the last four Brighton goals in all competitions. Estupinan has developed a lethal partnership with Mitoma and the duo will look to continue their dream run.
Trippier is our 3rd and final defender in this week’s scout picks and the less said about Trippier the better. Newcastle have conceded only 5 goals in 10 home games this season keeping 7 clean sheets making them the best defence in the league. Only KDB has created more chances and big chances than Trippier this season which shows his attacking capabilities.
He also assisted the first goal in the Carabao cup 2nd leg vs Southampton and at this rate, it will be a surprise if he doesn’t keep a CS and get 3 bonus!

FPL GW22 Scout Picks Midfielders
Bruno Fernandes and Rashford both double in GW22 and the duo makes it to the scout picks this time without any surprise. Bruno Fernandes is one of the Top picks for FPL GW22, since GW17, Fernandes is second for Chances created(17), and Big Chances created(9)– Only behind Trippier. Rashford meanwhile is the joint highest-scoring player in FPL since restart with 5 goals and an assist in 6 games, totaling 46 points. Their opponents in DGW22 are struggling defensively which you can see below.
Leeds and Palace-Defensive woes
- Since FPL restart from World Cup break, Leeds United have conceded the most big chances(17) in the league. Palace are 4th worst with 14 big chances conceded.
- Leeds and Crystal Palace ranked 19th and 18th for Expected Goals conceded since GW17 as seen in below image.
Bruno also is known to enjoy a double gameweek and has a great record against Leeds!

Mitoma and Saka are the in-form midfielders who make their way into the scout picks this week, PL defenders are increasingly finding it hard to stop both Mitoma and Saka. Both the players have scored an identical 33 points each since restart with 3 goals and one assist for the duo.
Brighton have the highest odds of scoring 2+ goals this week(42%) and Mitoma has a great matchup with Bournemouth known to concede heavily down the right flank(Mitoma/Estupinan flank). Even with a blank in GW25 Mitoma is hard to look past considering his form and the next three fixtures.

FPL GW22 Scout Picks Forwards
Leeds attack is a decent option to punt as they double and we have Gnonto in our team, he’s one of the nailed Leeds attackers and has decent numbers, 2nd highest xGI amongst Leeds players. He’s also got good assist potential along with a good goal threat, with Rodrigo rumored to be injured, Gnonto is the safest option to consider from Leeds.
Ivan toney disappointed owners with a blank in GW21 vs Leeds but once again has a great fixture vs Southampton and is in good form having scored 3 goals and registering an assist in his last 4 games. He also has a decent odds of scoring this week(43% chance of scoring) and will look to be on the score sheet as Brentford will look to return to winning ways.
Haaland is Haaland and last week he once again showed us his quality scoring his 4th PL hat trick against Wolves. His inclusion is a no-brainer!
