All Premier League Teams Predicted GW11 Lineups
Arsenal
The headline team news from an Arsenal perspective was that of Tomiyasu coming in at left back in the absence of Zinchenko. It remains to be seen if Zinchenko is fit and starts or Tomiyasu/Tierney play. Zinchenko was however not on the lineup against Bodø/Glimt.
Last week’s success rate: 10/11 (We predicted 10 starters correctly last week)
Arsenal GW11 Predicted formation:
- 4-3-3
Arsenal GW11 Predicted lineup:
Ramsdale
White – Saliba – Gabriel – Tomiyasu
Xhaka – Partey – Odegaard
Saka – Jesus – Martinelli
Injury Concerns:
Arsenal vs Bodø/Glimt: Turner, White, Holding, Saliba, Tierney, Lokonga, Vieira, Odegaard, Saka, Nelson, Nketiah.
Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus and Xhaka all left out of the starting XI for the first time this season.
We are not expected to hear from Arteta ahead of GW11 as they played Europa on Thursday.
Aston Villa
It was yet another turgid performance from Villa, particularly going forward so changes may be made in that area of the pitch. Given Gerrard’s clear reluctance to play Buendia, he may drop out of the side in favour of Ings who hasn’t started many matches recently.
Digne remains out and so Ashley Young should continue to fill in at left-back.
Last week’s success rate: 11/11 (We predicted 11 starters correctly last week)
Aston Villa GW11 Predicted Formation
- 4-3-1-2
Aston Villa GW11 Predicted Lineup:
Martinez
Cash – Mings – Konsa – Young
Ramsey – McGinn – Luiz
Coutinho
Ings – Watkins
Aston Villa injury/PC updates(14/10/22):
Bailey is back and Cash is still available after having some issues. Digne could return at the end of the month.
Bournemouth
It looks like Gary ONeil has Ryan Fredericks his first choice who came in for Zemura at right back, apart from that it was the same Bournemouth team that has featured for the most part this season. That should remain the case for GW11.
Last week’s success rate: 10/11 (We predicted 10 starters correctly last week)
Bournemouth GW11 Predicted formation
- 4-2-3-1
Bournemouth GW11 Predicted lineup:
Neto
Smith – Mepham – Sensei – Ryan Fredericks
Cook – Lerma
Christie – Billing- Tavernier
Solanke
Bournemouth PC/Injury news(13/10/22):
Bournemouth manager Gary O’Neil on his press conference:
“The Fulham game comes too quickly for Lloyd Kelly and David Brooks, but apart from that everyone is doing really really well.
“Joe Rothwell and Ben Pearson are back training now and we’ve had a good week from both of them. I’m not sure if they’ll be involved but they’ve both had a good week and we’re really pleased with them.
Brighton
The main news as far as Brighton are concerned was the heartbreaking revelation that Enock Mwepu has had to retire from football. Now that he is out of the picture, the lineup will probably be broadly the same as that which has started the last couple of games.
Last week’s success rate: 11/11 (We predicted 11 starters correctly last week)
Brighton GW11 Predicted formation
- 3-4-2-1
Brighton GW11 Predicted lineup:
Sanchez
Veltman – Webster – Dunk –
March – MacAllister – Caicedo – Estupinan
Gross – Trossard
Welbeck
Brighton PC/Injury Updates(13/10/22)
Roberto De Zerbi said in his press conference on Thursday afternoon:
There are no injuries, all players are good and are ready to play. We have two games in four days, but for the moment I am only thinking about Brentford. From Saturday we will think about Nottingham Forest.”
Brentford
Thomas Frank decided to go to a back three against Newcastle and it’s fair to say it didn’t go to plan. If they go to a back 4 against Brighton, Ajer may drop out with Janlet possibly coming in. Wissa may also come in with Dasilva possibly making way.
Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)
Brentford GW11 Predicted formation:
- 4-3-3
Brentford GW11 Predicted lineup:
Raya
Hickey – Pinnock – Mee – Henry
Janlet – Jensen
Baptiste
Mbeumo – Toney – Wissa
Brentford PC/Injury Updates(13/10/22)
Christian Norgaard (Achilles) and Pontus Jansson (hamstring) are ruled out of Brentford’s match against Brighton tomorrow. Keane Lewis-Potter (foot) is back fit and available for selection. Norgaard is back training “on the grass” and Thomas Frank remains hopeful he will be fully fit by the end of October. Thomas Strakosha suffered an ankle ligament injury in training saving a penalty from Kristoffer Ajer. He has missed Brentford’s last two games and will be out for “weeks.”
Chelsea
Graham Potter made a plethora of changes to the Chelsea lineup that faced Wolves, with James, Sterling, Aubameyang, and Chilwell all dropping out. Most of them should come back in, but James went off with an injury against Milan in the Champions League and looks to be out for a while. Loftus Cheek may therefore play at right wingback.
Last week’s success rate: 6/11 (We predicted 6 starters correctly last week)
Chelsea GW11 Predicted formation:
- 4-2-3-1
Chelsea GW11 Predicted lineup:
Kepa,
Koulibaly – Chalobah – Thiago Silva
Loftus Cheek – Kovacic – Jorginho – Chilwell
Mount – Sterling
Aubameyang
Chelsea PC Updates/injury news(14/10/22):
Doesn’t look good for James.
Potter on Reece James:
External Reece James update: Growing fears Reece James will miss the World Cup. Damage to knee more serious than first feared. Surgery a possibility.
Graham Potter on N’Golo Kante: “He’s due to see a consultant at the weekend. It’s a setback, it’s not good news. I can’t give you anymore.”
Graham Potter on Wesley Fofana: “I don’t think we will see him before the World Cup.”
Graham Potter on Edouard Mendy: “He’s been great, attitude fantastic, supporting the team. He was injured when I arrived, Kepa has played well. Situation now, we have competition. You need that to push each other along.”

Crystal Palace
Viera made a surprise change for the match against Leeds with Mitchel dropping to the bench in favour of Schlupp. It’s difficult to say whether or not that’ll continue to be the case or not but my guess is that Mitchel was merely rested so should come back in.
Andersen also came back in for Clyne who will be absent for the long term.
Last week’s success rate: 10/11 (We predicted 10 starters correctly last week)
Crystal Palace GW11 Predicted Formation
- 4-3-3
Crystal Palace GW11 Predicted lineup:
Guaita
Ward – Guehi – Andersen – Mitchell
Eze – Olise – Doucoure
Ayew – Edouard – Zaha
Crystal Palace PC Updates/injury news(14/10/22):
No fresh injury concerns for Crystal Palace ahead of the Leicester game.
Everton
Lampard is becoming easier to predict with every week that goes by as he named an unchanged side again. I’d expect that to remain the case in spite of the loss.
Last week’s success rate: 10/11 (We predicted 10 starters correctly last week)
Everton GW11 Predicted formation
- 4-3-2-1
Everton GW11 Predicted lineup
Pickford
Coleman- Tarkowski – Coady – Mykolenko
Onana – Iwobi – Gueye
McNeil – Gray
Maupay
Everton PC/Suspension/Injury news(13/10/22):
“We hope Patterson will be fit in two to three weeks. Ben Godfrey is a bit further behind – it’s his first few days out on the grass – so we’re probably looking at the other side of the World Cup break.”
Abdoulaye Doucoure is available again for Saturday’s trip to Tottenham Hotspur.
Gordon is suspended for the game after getting his 5th yellow card vs Man United in GW10.
On Calvert-Lewin, Lampard added: “It’s great to have Dominic back. We’re in a process with him in that he’s not taking part in every training session for the process of getting him fully match fit, robust and staying fit so we’ll just have to see over the next few days and weeks how quickly we can get him to that optimum level.”
Fulham
The most curious selection Marco Silva made was that of Bobby Reed starting at right back with Kebano coming in to the team. It’s hard to know whether that experiment will continue but with Tete and Kurzawa still out, it might continue.
Mitrovic was also absent and looks like that he’ll not start in GW11.
Last week’s success rate: 7/11 (We predicted 7 starters correctly last week)
Fulham GW11 Predicted formation:
- 4-2-3-1
Fulham GW11 Predicted lineup:
Leno
Reid -Tosin – Ream – Robinson
Palhinha – H Reed
James – Andreas – Willian
Vinicius
Fulham PC/Injury news(14/10/22):
Marco on Mitro: “He’s getting better. Today was the first day he was involved with the team. I will meet with medical staff and my technical staff later to make the decision on him.”
Silva also says Willian will be involved, Kurzawa and Tete are out.
This quote doesn’t bode well
Silva on not having Mitrovic: “He’s a key player for us. But I have to tell you that the last three games, Mitro didn’t score but the team scored four goals.” “We can score if he’s not on the pitch.”
Leeds United
As expected, Bamford came in for the suspended Sinisterra but now that the Columbian is back available, he should come back in. Despite Rodrigo’s form in the early part of the season, he could be the one to drop out.
Last week’s success rate: 11/11 (We predicted 11 starters correctly last week)
Leeds United GW11 Predicted formation:
- 4-2-3-1
Leeds United GW11 Predicted lineup:
Meslier
Kristensen – Cooper – Koch – Struijk
Adams-Roca
Sinisterra – Aaronson – Harrison
Bamford
Leeds PC/Injury news(14/10/22):
J𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀: “Leo Hjelde recovered well from his appendectomy but not available for a week or so. Adam Forshaw is eight days out, Archie Gray is on the pitch but not available. Stuart is making good progress. Everyone else is fit and healthy.” Firpo is also available this week and Sinisterra is back from a one game suspension.
Leicester City
Rodgers made a solitary change from the victory over Forest with Daka coming in for Vardy. Though they lost 3-1 to Bournemouth, I’d expect more or less the same team to play Palace in GW11.
Evans might be a touch-and-go, if he’s out Amartey should fill in for him.
Last week’s success rate: 11/11 (We predicted 11 starters correctly last week)
Leicester City GW11 Predicted formation:
- 4-3-3
Leicester City GW11 Predicted lineup:
Ward
Justin – Faes – Evans – Castagne
Tielemans – Soumare – Dewsbury Hall
Maddison – Daka- Barnes
Leicester PC/Suspension/Injury news(13/10/22):
Rodgers from the press conference:
Dennis Praet and Papy Mendy have come back in having not trained a lot during the week,” the Northern Irishman said. “Apart from that, we’ll have to assess Jonny Evans before the game to see where he’s at with a tight calf, but apart from that it’s been a good training week.”
Castagne, on the other hand, was forced off in the 2-1 reverse at AFC Bournemouth, but Rodgers said: “He had quite a bruised eye but he’ll be okay.”
On Ndidi, he explained: “He’ll probably be a few weeks. When he came off, we were looking at about three weeks. We think it’ll be around that period of time from last week.”
Liverpool
As if Liverpool’s start to the season wasn’t bad enough already, they suffered a significant blow with Luis Diaz being ruled out until after the World Cup after sustaining a knee injury against Arsenal.
Alexander-Arnold also went off injured and though he shouldn’t be out for anywhere near as long, he’ll still be missing for the clash against Man City this weekend. They should be replaced by Joe Gomez and Diogo Jota respectively.
Though Liverpool have played with 4 attackers in their last two games, I struggle to envisage that continuing against a team with as much fire power as City so they should go back to the more traditional 4-3-3.
Last week’s success rate: 8/11 (We predicted 8 starters correctly last week)
Liverpool GW11 Predicted formation
- 4-3-3
Liverpool GW11 Predicted lineup:
Allison
Gomez – Van Dijk – Konate – Robertson
Elliott – Fabinho – Thiago
Salah – Nunez – Jota
Liverpool Injury Update(14/10/22)
Klopp from the PC ahead of the Man City game
Klopp on whether any fresh injury issues ahead of Sunday: “We have to see, no final decisions yet.”
Klopp on Salah playing centrally: “He can play that position, he can play the wider position as well. Flexibility in offensive moments is what we need.”
Trent Alexander Arnold, Matip are ruled out for two weeks. Luis Diaz is out until after the World cup, and Arthur Melo is also ruled out for a long period. Ox, Curtis Jones, and Keita are close to return and Robertson made it to the bench against Rangers in the UCL midweek game suggesting he should start vs Man City.
Liverpool lineup vs Rangers: Alisson, Gomez, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas, Fabinho, Elliott, Henderson, Carvalho, Firmino, Nunez.
Manchester City
We can expect City to go full strength against Liverpool on Sunday, particularly seeing as they have a free midweek after that. Given that Nathan Ake has filled in for Walker so far, he may well do so once more. As far as the front three is concerned, Guardiola has favoured Grealish in the bigger games so far so he may start alongside Foden and Haaland.
Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)
Manchester City GW11 Predicted formation
- 4-3-3
Manchester City GW11 Predicted lineup:
Ederson
Ake – Dias -Akanji – Cancelo
De Bruyne- Rodri – B.Silva
Foden– Haaland– Grealish
Man City PC/Injury Updates(14/10/22):
PEP (On injuries) John I think will be back, I don’t know when but maybe one week, maybe ten days. Kalvin is getting better and is improving a lot. Kyle is still out.
We have a lot of games like all the teams. Players are recovering better. Erling could not play all the games last season. Bernardo was tired, but they feel good and are ready for Sunday.
Manchester City lineup in midweek UCL Game: Ederson; Cancelo, Akanji, Laporte, Gomez; Rodri, De Bruyne, Gundogan; Mahrez, Alvarez, Grealish
Subs: Ortega Moreno, Carson, Dias, Ake, Haaland, Bernardo, Foden, Palmer, Lewis, Wilson-Esbrand
Manchester United
At long last, Casemiro started his first league match for United with McTominay predictably dropping out. Martial also came in to the side in favour of Sancho but he went off injured less than half an hour in. Ronaldo may therefore lead the line for United with Sancho out of form at the moment.
Last week’s success rate: 10/11 (We predicted 10 starters correctly last week)
Manchester United GW11 Predicted formation:
- 4-2-3-1
Manchester United GW11 Predicted lineup:
De Gea
Dalot – Martinez – Varane – Shaw
Eriksen – Casemiro
Anthony – Bruno – Rashford
Ronaldo
Injury Concerns:
Newcastle United
Joelinton and Saint Maximin were once more absent for Newcastle on the weekend, but both came off the bench so should be fine to start against Man United on the weekend. Alexander Isak is still unavailable for now.
Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)
Newcastle United GW11 Predicted formation:
- 4-3-3
Newcastle United GW11 Predicted lineup:
Pope
Trippier – Botman – Schar – Burn
Willock – Bruno Guimares – Joelinton
Almiron – Wilson – ASM
Newcastle United PC/Injury news(14/10/22):
Eddie Howe on Isak: “Alexander Isak is making progress but he’s not available for this game. We’ve not picked up any new injuries.”
Eddie Howe on Jonjo Shelvey & Matt Ritchie: “Jonjo is getting closer. He has trained – not necessarily full training at this moment but he’s very close. Matt picked up a calf problem. We don’t know whether he’ll be back before the World Cup but he’s doing well.”
Nottingham Forest
Cooper deployed the back 4 once more against Villa after doing the same for Leicester. The most notable selection was that, after coming off the bench a few times, Dennis was finally handed a start and he scored early on to justify that selection. As such, he should keep his place in the team. OBrien may also come back in to midfield.
Last week’s success rate: 6/11 (We predicted 6 starters correctly last week)
Nottingham Forest GW11 Predicted formation:
- 4-3-3
Nottingham Forest GW11 Predicted lineup
Henderson
Williams – Cook – McKenna – Lodi
O’Brien – Kouyaté – Frueler
Gibbs White – Johnson – Dennis
Nottingham Forest PC/Injury Updates(13/10/22)
Forest are still without full-back Omar Richards, as he continues his recovery from a hairline fracture of the leg. Meanwhile, midfielder Jack Colback has been struggling with a back problem.
Injured defender Moussa Niakhate is still “nowhere near” being in consideration for his Nottingham Forest comeback.
Southampton
There were once more changes a plenty for HassenHuttl with Diallo, Perraud and Salisu all coming back in for the clash with City. In spite of the result, that’s probably their best team at the moment so that should be broadly the team that starts against West Ham.
Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)
Southampton GW11 Predicted formation
- 4-2-3-1
Southampton GW11 Predicted lineup:
Bazunu
Walker-Peters – Bella-Kotchap – Salisu- Perraud
Diallo – Ward Prowse
Stuart Armstrong – Aribo – Adam Armstrong
Che Adams
Southampton PC/Injury Updates(14/10/22)
Ralph in today’s press conference:
Lavia is close to a return although the West ham game is too soon, he’s expected to be back in first team training next week.
Moussa Djenepo is the only fresh injury concern for the Saints, having missed out on training this week due to illness, with Tino Livramento Saints’ only long-term absentee.
“For us we have only Moussa with illness,” confirmed the boss. “He was not in the training the whole week.
“The rest of the team, apart from Romeo, who is possibly starting the beginning of next week with the team and Tino will still need a bit longer. The rest are fit.”
Tottenham
Conte opted to make a change to his formation with Bissouma coming into a three-man midfield. Given that Conte has a history of doing this against De Zerbi teams in the past, it may just have been a one-off and I suspect he may revert back to the usual 3-4-3 for Everton at the weekend.
Doherty should continue at right back with Emerson still suspended, and Perisic could come in on the opposite flank after Sessegnon played against Brighton.
Last week’s success rate: 8/11 (We predicted 8 starters correctly last week)
Spurs GW11 Predicted formation:
- 3-4-3
Spurs GW11 Predicted lineup:
Lloris
Romero – Dier – Davies
Doherty – Bentancur -Hojbjerg – Perisic
Richarlison – Kane – Son
Spurs Injury News/PC Updates(13/10/22):
Conte on right wing-back: “I was really pleased with Matthew Doherty. Last season he struggled but then he became a really important player for us. Also Djed, he’s working and improving and he’s starting to understand which is the demand to stay at Tottenham.”
Conte: “We are the same players of the last game. Kulusevski is still not available for the game against Everton. The rest of the players are ok. I think we need to have a bit of patience with [Deki]. Don’t take stupid risks.”
Tottenham Hotspur vs Frankfurt: Lloris (c); Romero, Dier, Lenglet; Emerson Royal, Hojbjerg, Bentancur, R Sessegnon; Richarlison, Kane, Son.
West Ham
There was one enforced change to the West Ham lineup for Fulham, with Fornals coming in for the injured Cornet. Cornet remains sidelined for the time being, to make things tricky both Dawson, and Ogbanna went off injured and Kehrer was taken off as a precaution in the Europa conference league game on Thursday. Moyes could put Kehrer in the middle of the defence and play Johnson/Coufal at RB.
Last week’s success rate: 11/11 (We predicted 11 starters correctly last week)
West Ham GW11 Predicted Formation
- 4-2-3-1
West Ham GW11 Predicted lineup:
Fabianski
Kehrer – Zouma – Dawson – Cresswell
Rice – Soucek – Paqueta
Bowen -Scamacca – Fornals
West Ham PC/ Injury Updates(14/10/22):
“We’re getting our bits and pieces together and getting ready to train, so it’s early after the game and I don’t have news on Angelo or Craig yet.” ~ Moyes on Ogbonna and Dawson
“Antonio is a little better. Kurt has had the sniffles so we need to see how they are but hopefully, they have a chance.” ~ Moyes on Antonio and Zouma who missed Thursday’s Europa league game due to illness
“We took a precaution on Thilo more than anything last night but we hope he’s going to be fine.” ~ Moyes on Kehrer
Wolves
Diego Costa came in for his first start for the club, replacing the injured Neto. Gomez also came into the centre of defence. Costa should continue to be in the side and Gomez will in all likelihood drop out for Collins once he returns the game after next but should deputize in his absence.
Traore also came for the suspended Neves but now that the latter has served his one-match ban, he should come straight back in.
Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)
Wolves GW11 Predicted formation:
- 4-3-3
Wolves GW11 Predicted lineup:
Sa
Jonny – Kilman – Gomez – Semedo
Neves – Moutinho – Nunes
Podence – Costa – Guedes
Wolves PC/ Injury Updates(14/10/22):
No fresh concerns, Neves is back after one game suspension, Collins will serve his 3rd and final game out suspended against Forest. Neto, Chiquinho, and Sasa Kalajdzic are long-term absentees. Raul Jimenez is also out.
As we said when predicting the GW10 lineups, there will definitely be some incorrect calls in here, however, we’ll always do our best job with the news we have. Article penned by @FPLHindsight(Drop him a follow on Twitter)
