If you’re looking for a fun fantasy game to play alongside FPL, then you should definitely try out and play SPITCH. The game is free to play with a prize pot of £2,500. The SPITCH season-long mode runs for the whole season but in the end, counts only the five best lineups of the season. Let’s look at the players to target for SPITCH matchday 3 and build a team for this week.
Here’s a brief guide on SPITCH: SPITCH Season Long Fantasy Game | £2,500(Free) & £50,000 Prize Pool
SPITCH Matchday 3 Preview
SPITCH has positive points for 18 different actions on the pitch. So unlike FPL, all players are decent options to consider in SPITCH. Central midfielders and central defensive midfielders are the biggest beneficiaries on SPITCH with points for passes, tackles, and interceptions. Fun fact: Rodri was the highest-scoring midfielder in SPITCH last season.
Things to keep in mind while building your team:
- Pick 11 players from a budget of ₵1,200
- You can pick up to nine players from one team
- The formations are flexible with even four forwards possible on SPITCH
- No captaincy on the season-long game
- Deadline is at kick off
- Safety net feature to replace your player if he doesn’t play
Essential Premium Defenders for SPITCH Matchday 3
- Cancelo
- Trent Alexander Arnold
- Reece James
- Van Dijk
- Dias
Cancelo is a points magnet on SPITCH and rarely scores less than 300 points in a matchday on SPITCH. He has scored an average of 365 points in the first two matchdays. He’s surely worth the ₵175 out of ₵1200 budget. The same can be said about Trent Alexander Arnold who is priced at ₵150 and is always high scoring in SPITCH, in matchday 2 Trent registered 458 points even though he didn’t get a goal/assist.
Reece James at ₵138 is also a great SPITCH asset and has an average of 377 points in the first two matchdays this season.
Essential Budget Defenders for SPITCH Matchday 3
- Cucurella
- Neco Williams
- Rico Henry
- Matty Cash
- Collins
- Joachim Andersen
The pick of non-premium defenders are listed above, the best one is Andersen who has an average of 391 points in the first two matchdays, a score higher than even the premium defenders. He’s a very good passer and guarantees you points week in and week out on SPITCH.
Neco Williams registered 454 points and at ₵62 he’s a no-brainer. He’s got points for passing, offense, and defense. Rico Henry ₵42 is also a steal on SPITCH for matchday 3 if you’re looking to go 4 or 5 defenders.
Essential Premium Midfielders for SPITCH Matchday 3
- Rodri
- Kevin De Bruyne
- Gundogan
- Foden
- Mason Mount
- Jorginho
Not a lot of options in the premium bracket as the wingers are all listed as forwards on SPITCH. The best option in this bracket is Rodri who averages 316 points this season at ₵160. He’s one of the consistent performers in SPITCH and gets you 300+ points consistently. KDB is the highest priced in this bracket ₵200 and has an average of 439 points this season, he’s slightly more explosive than Rodri but if KDB misses out on goals then Rodri s guaranteed to outscore him due to his high pass completion rate.
Mount is another good option this week as he’s playing Leeds. He’s generally explosive against the smaller teams and could come out good this time.
Essential Budget Midfielders for SPITCH Matchday 3
- Maddison
- Jensen
- Gross
- Kamara
- Zinchenko (Yes, a mid in SPITCH)
- Odegaard
- Lavia
- Bentancur
- Perisic(Yes, a mid in SPITCH)
- Aribo
There is a lot of value in the budget midfielders(<100₵), Maddison is the pick of the options at ₵78 he averages 410 points per game this season. Dewsbury Hall is another dead cheap asset whom you can use as an enabler at only ₵22. Lavia(₵46) and Jensen(₵47) are the ones that caught my eye in the budget section as both are consistently in the points due to their passing/interceptions/tackling ability.
Essential Premium Forwards for SPITCH Matchday 3
- Salah
- Haaland
- Kane
- Son
- Jesus
- Diaz
- Toney
891 points for Jesus on the previous matchday is one of the highest scoring hauls and he’s up against Bournemouth in matchday 3, so he’s a guaranteed option to consider. The pricing of the premiums is quite high so you’ll have to choose wisely amongst the elite options(>100₵) as you cannot afford them all. Ideally, you can have two of them in your SPITCH team without disturbing the structure and funds for other players.

Essential Budget Forwards for SPITCH Matchday 3
- Rodrigo
- Zaha
- Martinelli
- Saka
- Mara
- Welbeck
- Mbeumo
Rodrigo is an absolute essential based on his form, he has the most shots on target in PL so far this season and 50% of his shots have been on target. In SPITCH forwards are rewarded for shots on target(+65 points) so he’s a great option to consider at only ₵66.
Zaha is another great option to consider as he’s facing Aston Villa and he registered 390 points vs Liverpool. Another player that is known to shoot often, win, and score penalties. In SPITCH players are rewarded points for winning penalties and scoring them even if it’s the same player.
Martinelli at just ₵74 averages 264 points this season and offers great value. Welbeck, Mbeumo and Mara are other budget-forward options that are very good assets at their price to consider for matchday three on SPITCH.

Goalkeepers for SPITCH Matchday 3
- Ederson
- Mendy
- Sanchez
- Bazunu
- Nick Pope
- Dean Henderson
In SPITCH the premium keepers are all cheaper than the budget ones. Ederson is only ₵42 whereas Mendy is just ₵40 both are good options at their price and with up to nine players from one team you need not worry about too many players from one team. Lack of saves might be a concern but Ederson makes up for it with his passing and distribution. If you’re looking for Goalkeepers who make a lot of saves then Henderson at ₵58, Pope at ₵56, and Bazunu & Sanchez both at ₵40 are all great options who don’t disturb your budget too much. Keepers get 40 points for a save on SPITCH.
