We as FPL managers have had mixed fortunes with our teams in GW2. We have trusted some of the Premier League Footballers to deliver in FPL, some of them returned while the others have disappointed. But how did the Premier League stars perform in FPL as managers themselves? In this article, let us take a look at how some of the Premier League Footballers fared in FPL GW2 of the 2022/23 FPL Season!

Shane Duffy
Duffy recently moved to Fulham on loan and has done well himself so far with 78 points with a triple Man City attack of Foden, KDB, and Haaland amongst the points. He’s however got only Diaz from Liverpool with no Salah or TAA, a very interesting strategy indeed.
Elneny
Safe to say nobody told Elneny about Wildcard as he has taken a -56 points hit for GW2. He’s however got a good score of 67 points captaining teammate Gabriel Jesus.
Odegaard
Odegaard is the first one this week to captain himself, a move that didn’t work out quite well as he didn’t score or assist.
Patrick Bamford
Bamford continued with the trend of captaining himself but was unfortunately injured making his GW score worse. He also played his wildcard in GW2, with TAA, Salah, and Darwin to play Bamford will he hoping he could get to a decent GW2 score.
Jacob Ramsey
A decent gameweek for Ramsey. He’s played himself in his team for a total of 62 points with VVD and Robbo still to play. Interestingly he doesn’t own both Haaland and Salah, captaining Kane who scored in the last few minutes of the game against Chelsea.
Rob Holding
Holding trusted his teammate Jesus for captaincy and it proved to be a great move with 30 points from Jesus. He’s also another premier league footballer who has gone with no Salah but had KDB who scored 14 points. PS: playing Bentancur seems questionable in all aspects.
Bukayo Saka
Saka is a seasoned FPL manager and has had a good gameweek with 61 points. He didn’t get a return from himself this time around but Jesus, Kane, and Haaland helped him tick along nicely.
Micah Richards
Former PL star Micah Richards has got 63 points and 7 of them came from Neco Williams who was impressive in Forest’s first PL victory after being promoted. He’s still got Salah and TAA so a strong finish is on the cards!
Jack Stephens
Jack Stephens has crossed the 70 points mark this week with his defence all returning him a minimum of 7 points. Interestingly he has taken a -8 point hit which slightly offsets the gameweek score.
James Maddison
Maddison continued with the trend of not having himself on his team and has got 52 points with Salah captain still to play along with Diaz and TAA which should take him to a good GW score at the end of GW2.
John McGinn
60 points for McGinn this week with 28 points coming from KDB captaincy. He played himself and his former teammate Jack Grealish. Digne in defence didn’t go well.
