Southampton have no fresh concerns ahead of an away game against Brentford except for Tino Livramento who is out for a while following an unfortunate ACL injury. The same has been confirmed by Ralph in his press conference ahead of GW36.
“No, so far no new injuries. We have no big issues with injuries except from Tino. That’s it.

Brighton
Mwepu, Sarmeiento, Moder– Ruled out
“Enock [Mwepu] will miss United, a slight injury in his groin which probably means that will be him for the rest of the season. “Jeremy [Sarmiento] is still out, Jakub [Moder] is obviously long-term, but everyone else is okay.“

Norwich

Aston Villa
- Ramsey– Big Doubt
- Bailey, Hause– Ruled out for Burnley game
- Sanson– Available
“We’ve got a couple of issues. Leon Bailey won’t make the game. He left the pitch last week and unfortunately this game will come too soon. I don’t think we’re dealing with a serious issue, so I think he’ll play again before the season’s out but he won’t be at Burnley. We had an issue in training with young Jacob Ramsey as well, so we’re analysing his situation and he’s a big doubt as we stand. Morgan Sanson’s returned to training and he’ll come back into the squad. Kortney Hause is still unavailable. A few disappointing situations that we’re going to have to deal with in the next 24 hours. The rest are healthy and ready to go.”
Steven Gerrard in his Press Conference via Aston Villa website
Newcastle
- Wilson– Good chance of making the squad
- Trippier– Late call will be made, slightly behind in his recovery
- Schar– Didn’t train yet but not ruled out
All quotes from Newcastle manager Howe via Newcastle Twitter–
Howe on Schar
“We haven’t seen him this week. We hope he’ll be back to be available but he’s not trained yet. He got a knock on the top of his foot so he went for a scan after the Liverpool game because it was swollen up but fortunately there’s no fracture.”
Howe on Wilson
“He’s trained all week. He’s trained very well, he had two really tough days & he’s come through them well. He’s put a lot of work in to get to this point. He looks in a good place and there’s a good chance he’ll be involved on Sunday.” “
Howe on Trippier
Kieran is slightly behind Callum in that he hasn’t trained every day but when he has trained, he’s done very well. We’ll make a late decision on him.”
Crystal Palace
- Nathan Ferguson– Ruled out of the season
- Others squad members are fully fit
Quotes from Viera via Crystal Palace Website–
Viera on future plans and position change(central striker) for Zaha:
“I have to convince him and that will take time, but that is a position that I believe he can play,” Vieira explained. “He’s really strong at holding the ball, he is capable of linking the game and he can drop in the midfield. “I believe this is a position that he can excel in for us. We’ve had a couple of conversations about that. He doesn’t say no, but it takes him time to buy into it. “Wilfried loves football. You put him on the right and he will complain, but he will still do the job. Put him up front and he will complain, but he will still do the job.”
Viera on rotation and giving young players minutes in the last few games:
“I always think that those last couple of games we have to use to build for next season,” he said in his pre-Watford press conference. “Of course there are some young players that have been with us a couple of times this season that will get involved in the last couple of games we have.
“But I always have to put a strong team out to win football matches. Yes, I will give some opportunities to some young players, but they will have to be surrounded by some players that will allow them to perform.”
Manchester United
- Rashford– Ruled out for GW36 with Bronchitis
- Maguire– Back in training and will be involved

Rangnick on Cavani and Rashford
“Edinson [Cavani] is in training, obviously he came on as a sub. Marcus Rashford will be missing, he has caught bronchitis with high temperatures so he won’t be able to be part of the group.
Leeds United
- Dallas– Surgery done. Could be out for a minimum of 6 months.
- Cooper– Trained, likely to play
- Llorente– Back in training
- Bamford– Likely to get into full training next week
- Tyler Roberts, Adam Forshaw and Crysencio Summerville– Ruled out of the season
Quotes from Jesse Marsch via Yorkshire Evening post–
Marsch on Cooper
“I actually think Liam will play, he was in training today and he felt good so I think he will be available, it was his knee but he is feeling good.”
Marsch on Bamford
“I think so, I watched him on the pitch today and he was moving really well. I am hopeful that we can get him into training next week.”
Marsch on Dallas
“We can safely say it will be six months but it could be longer and I don’t think anyone wants to rush him. He is a big part of the group, a fantastic person and player, he is an iron man.”
Liverpool
- Firmino- Back in training, likely to be fit for Tuesday game vs Villa
- No other injury concerns reported
Quote from Klopp when asked if Firmino is fit for the Saturday game against Spurs in his Press Conference via Liverpool website:
“I don’t know, but he is back in training, so now we have to make a decision about that. “The foot thing didn’t let him do a lot. We had to let it settle and now we have to make sure that he has a few proper sessions. Obviously we have enough games still, so it’s very important that we have to make sure that we get him in the best possible shape. “I didn’t make a decision but it might be possible, that it makes for him more sense just to train through the weekend and be then a big step closer for Tuesday, for example. “But let’s see. Yesterday he was in training, was great.”
Wolves
Lage did not take part in the press conference and will this weekend’s trip to Chelsea after testing positive for Covid-19. Tony Roberts came up for the press conference instead.
- Kilman and Semedo– Ruled out of the season
- Podence– Will be assessed after return to training
Arsenal
- White- Still in contention. Likely to train tomorrow.
- Other players are fit and ready to play
“Ben White is still in contention. He needs to train tomorrow. For the rest no news. Everyone should be ok.
