Players to Target for FPL DGW36 & DGW37

Richarlison (7.5M)

Players to Target for FPL DGW36 & DGW37 ~ Richarlison

Richarlison and Everton have enjoyed a resurgence in recent weeks, with the Brazillian netting 4 goals in his last 6 as they fight for survival. He’s always been a decent PL striker, enjoying .40 npxG+xA/90 over his 5 seasons in the PL, but it’s the fixtures that really elevate him and other Everton players as assets.

Back-to-back doubles, both of which consist of teams that can be opened up is very appealing for Rich’s chances. Leicester and Watford especially have been very leaky this season, while Everton’s impressive home form shows what they’re capable of with the fans backing them – even if they haven’t been as good away, Richarlison is more than good enough to get chances against those sides. What’s more, his brace of pens vs Burnley indicates that he should be on them which enhances his appeal further.

Phil Foden (7.8M)

Phil Foden: Pep Guardiola tells Manchester City midfielder he must stay humble if he wants to be great | Football News | Sky Sports

Pep’s wonderboy will be key to the final weeks of the season, as Guardiola looks to shake off the CL semi-final defeat. For me, he’s the best value City attacker, with an incredible .62 npxG+xA over the last 5 seasons and 8 goals and 5 assists in 22 appearances in this. The Wolves fixture in this DGW is particularly enticing, as they look to finely be delivering on abysmal underlying stats after a 3-0 loss at home to Brighton – not including the missed penalty!

There is, of course, a question of nailedness – particularly after 120’ vs Real Madrid. I do believe that Pep trusts Phil a lot, with him starting 12 of the last 13 games in the PL – his versatility and skill set are highly valued and because of this, if you want to tap into a Pep attacker at an affordable price Phil Foden would be the one for me.

Ollie Watkins (7.5M)

Liverpool Legend Robbie Fowler Says Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins "Looks Like A Klopp Player" - Sports Illustrated Liverpool FC News, Analysis, and More

Watkins showed what he’s capable of with a goal against Norwich, and a very respectable .48 npxG+xA over the last two seasons shows that Ollie is extremely capable of getting chances. With Digne, McGinn, Ings, Coutinho and more looking to service their frontman I am confident that he will continue to get chances and with luck, will be able to put them away. As always, the fixtures are the biggest appeal.

Players to Target for FPL DGW36 & DGW37 ~ Aston Villa

Playing Burnley twice is the biggest appeal, as despite an upturn in form the Clarets can still be exploited by Villa’s attackers. Three home games are always nice to have, even if one is against Liverpool who, as shown by Villareal and Benfica in the CL, can be taken advantage of on the break with pace. Watkins tends to be nailed for 90 too, like Richarlison, which is a fantastic quality to have for any player.

Joel Matip (5.2M)

Players to Target for FPL DGW36 & DGW37 ~ Matip

Matip could have been an FPL cult hero but has been overlooked by the masses, which is astonishing when you realize he’s started the last 15+ PL games he’s been available for. This is benefitted by Konate taking CL and FA Cup games, which allows Matip increased rest – such as during the midweek tie against Villareal. The major benefit of Matip is his very affordable price, bonus and CS record – Liverpool are currently sitting on an astounding 10 clean sheets in their last 12 PL games, which is incredibly strong. His dribbles forward and involvement in buildup play is also great for bonus accumulation.

Players to Target for FPL DGW36 & DGW37 ~Liverpool

The fixtures look decent, I’d be backing Liverpool for at least 2 clean sheets, potentially 3 or even 4 is also doable on the current stance. Southampton and Wolves especially look great, but Liverpool have been so imperious that Spurs and Villa are doable too. At 5.2M, he could be a fantastic budget defender for FPL managers looking for a world-class enabler.

That’s it for me, hope you enjoyed reading it! Personally, I’ll be looking to bring in Richarlison and Cancelo after a poor week dropped me down to top 250. Good luck for the weekend, and shoot me any questions at https://twitter.com/fpl_flair!
