In the Third Phase of the Article, we look at the Fixture Difficulty of our 5 Candidates. We have used Drafthound’s Clean Sheet odds and the Odds of Conceding more than 2.5 goals. You can check out the same as well for free on Drafthound along with fixture analysis, predicted analysis, and more.

Man City once again have the best odds with their opponents having just 8% chance of keeping a CS and a whopping 50% chance of conceding 2.5+ goals. Leicester surpirsingly have good odds of restrciting Liverpool to less than 2.5+ goals but their low CS chance of 8% means Salah and Jota are second on the table behind Cancelo.

Conclusion – Final Rank from our FPL Gameweek 20 Captaincy metric analysis

(C)andidatePlayer’s Attack RankTeam’s Attack RankFavourable Fixture RankSafety + Explosion Projections RankCumulative Rank Factor
Salah22217
Jota12238
Ronaldo354113
Son445316
Cancelo511310

In the Fifth and Final Phase of the article, I have aggregated the Ranks derived above to pull out the Cumulative Rank Factor (CRF). The Candidate having the lowest Cumulative Rank Factor is the most ideal Captaincy Option according to this metric.

Salah has comeback to top the metric in GW20 against a Leicester side who shipped six goals just 48 hours back. Jota is second and if you don’t own Salah then he’s the best alternative according to our metric. However if you’re concerned by his minutes then Cancelo seems to be not a bad option against a struggling Brentford side.

Mo Salah tops our captaincy metric in FPL Gameweek 20 making him the best captaincy candidate in fpl gw20
