Key FPL talking points from Arsenal vs Newcastle:
Arsenal
- Perfect response after the GW12 loss to LIV
- Continuity in team selection showing it’s effects
- Sharp finish by Saka (xG:0.06) from a Tavares assist – a goal which involved a sequence of 16 passes
- Injury to Saka could be a worry
- Martinelli with a supreme finish (xG: 0.39) but Dubravka could have been more braver
- Auba missing a sitter (xG:0.71)
- 6th clean sheet of the season; 3rd in last 4
- Saka with 2G & 3A for the season
- FPL Cue: With Saka injured, ESR and Ramsdale are the 2 assets that should be looked at. Tomiyasu with his 1st double-digit haul has been getting better with every game
Newcastle United:
- Had 2 big penalty claims denied
- Ritchie with 5th YC for the season; will miss the next game v NOR
- Shelvey with the highest xG: 0.14
- Callum Wilson with only 13 touches in the game
- 3 SiB (Schar, ASM & Willock)

Key FPL talking points from Liverpool vs Southampton
Liverpool
- Jota’s 1st goal was the fastest goal of the season (97 seconds)

FPL Cue: Jota-TAA-Salah a real possibility in your FPL team
Southampton:
- Scoreline doesn’t do justice to SOU

- Formation changed in 2H; looked more menacing but couldn’t finish their chances
- A. Armstrong with the highest xG: 0.94
- 5th loss of the season
- Only 2 goals scored in last 4
FPL Cue: Livramento is still the only go to FPL asset with A.Armstrong being a close 2nd
