FPL GW11 Sunday fixtures proved to be a good watch for FPL managers with a lot of points from our key FPL assets. But of course, there was a disappointment as well with Spurs looking ordinary, Antonio blanking. Here in this blog, we review the stats and key numbers from FPL GW11 Sunday fixtures that caught our eye.

FPL GW11 Fixture wise Review
West Ham (1.01) 3 – 2 (1.51) Liverpool
The last game of the Gameweek saw an incredible contest between West Ham and Liverpool. West Ham lined up in their usual 4-2-3-1, Johnson keeping his place at right-back over a fit-again Coufal while Liverpool played a 4-3-3, Matip returned in place of Konate, Jota started in place of the injured Firmino and Oxlade-Chamberlain kept his midfield spot.
West Ham looked well organized and a threat in attack through the entire game, Antonio Fornals and Bowen displaying fluidity in the attack that Liverpool’s defense found hard to deal with. West Ham’s chief threat was their physicality on set pieces, scoring their first and third goals from corner kicks. Liverpool fought back from 1 down through an inch-perfect free-kick from Alexander-Arnold and then had a late lifeline for 3-2 courtesy a cracking finish from substitute Origi.
Key player stat review from Liverpool vs Westham
Mane (11.9, MID) continued to rack up impressive expected numbers. The winger had 4 shots, 3 inside the box including 2 big chances and created 1 chance en route an xGI of 0.93 with an xG of 0.84.
Alexander-Arnold (7.7, DEF) is, as readers will be aware, one of my favourite assets in FPL. The defender had an impressive 2 shots, 1 in the box, 4 chances created and 1 big chance created for an xGI of 0.69 with an xA of 0.52 – another fantastic showing from the defender from an FPL point of view.
Mo Salah (13.0, MID) had 2 shots, both in the box and 2 chances created for a relatively quiet xGI of 0.22.
For West Ham, Pablo Fornals (6.0, MID) notched up 1 shot, a ‘big chance’ and 2 chances created for an xGI of 0.57 and an xG of 0.39.
Jarrod Bowen (6.3, MID) was highlighted previously and his performances are growing from strength to strength. The winger had 1 shot, taken in the box and 2 chances created, both ‘big chances’ for an xGI of 0.41.
Michail Antonio didn’t produce high-quality numbers as he did during his early-season performances but was still fairly threatening on the eye test, taking up good positions and on hand for a square pass for a tap-in for the Fornals goal.

Leeds United (1.21) 1 – 1 (0.83) Leicester City
Leeds and Leicester played out a fun if not stellar game of football at Elland Road. Leeds are still missing Patrick Bamford which has a detrimental effect on their usually fluid offensive football so they played a fluid Rodrigo-James offensive duo in a 4-4-1-1 while Leicester returned to a 4-3-3 with Barnes and Lookman back into the team and Iheanacho dropped back to the bench.
Leeds opened the scoring when the ever-lively Raphinha curled a free kick from wide that evaded everybody including Schmeichel and flew into the bottom corner and Leicester hit back literally instantly, Harvey Barnes curling a stunner into the top corner from a Soumare flick. Lookman had a goal from a Vardy flick on from a corner but it was ruled out for offside.
Key player stat review
Youri Tielemans (6.5, MID) tends to get further forward than usual in a 4-3-3 set up and it might be something to monitor moving forward if Leicester keep the same shape however that seems unlikely given their wealth of offensive talent. The Belgian had 3 shots, all in the box and 1 chance created for a game high xGI of 0.59, 0.53 of it coming from his xG. He arrowed a poorly cleared corner, inches wide of the post and with his quality, might produce steady output over the season. However with the abundance of quality midfield options in the 6.5m-and-under category, I wouldn’t be rushing to bring him into my team anytime soon.
Harvey Barnes (6.5, MID) and Jamie Vardy (10.8, FWD) had a roughly 0.1 xGI each coming from 2 shots in the box for the former and 1 shot in the box for the latter.
Daniel James (6.0, MID) continues to prosper in his underlyings in the absense of Bamford, playing as striker in fluidity with Rodrigo. The Welshman had 6 shots, 3 in the box for an xGI of 0.32.
Raphinha (6.6, MID) was his electric self however he’s been receiving the ball deep and wide and carrying it forward more this season than the last, possibly due to Leeds’ relative struggles in attack (Check out quality analysis from @FPLLens on twitter for more on this). He had 3 attempts, 1 in the box, 4 chances created and 1 big chance created for an xGI of 0.32.
Harrison (5.7, MID) had the highest xGI amongst all Leeds players but this was largely due to an exceptional chance from a flicked on set piece that dropped to him at close range but he couldn’t readjust his body shape to get his shot on target.

Everton (0.58) 0 – 0 (0.68) Tottenham
Antonio Conte’s first game in charge was intriguing for his setup and its FPL implications but the football game itself was a rather dull affair with Spurs looking resolute and Everton much improved from their previous outing. Conte set his side up in a 3-4-3 as he did midweek, Ben Davies the interesting addition at center-back, Emerson and Reguilon at the ‘FPL-interesting’ wing-back positions, and Lucas and Son either side of Harry Kane.
Everton went in an almost 4-4-2 shape, Gray playing alongside Richarlison further forward while Allan and Delph provided some security in the middle of the park. Early days for the Antonio Conte reign but we did see the wing-backs take up positions in the box, had a game event with Reguilon crossing to Emerson getting a shot in the box and Reguilon also had the only ‘big chance’ of the game.
Key player stat review
Sergio Reguilon (5.0, DEF) was the fantasy star of the show with 2 shots, both in the box, the only ‘big chance’ of the game, and a chance created for a game-high xGI of 0.48. He did get subbed off 71 mins in but as Spurs spend more time training in the Conte system, Reguilon is expected to emerge as a strong value option at left wing-back.
Harry Kane (12.2, FWD) didn’t make a strong case for inclusion just yet. The forward had 2 shots, 1 in the box, and created the aforementioned big chance for an xGI of 0.23.
Demarai Gray (5.7, MID) playing quite far forward managed a game-high 5 shots, 3 in the box, and 1 chance created for a respectable xGI of 0.33. He’s one of several excellent candidates in the budget midfield bracket but with a tough schedule upcoming, he’s one for the watchlist before their fixtures clear up in December.
Allan (4.6) is only being mentioned due to creating 3 chances in his central midfield role in a 4-4-2 and might be an interesting 5th midfielder bench option over the festive period for those on wildcard before then.

Arsenal (1.52) 1 – 0 (0.41) Watford
Arsenal have quietly produced some much-improved displays after their rocky start to the season. Arteta set his team up as a 4-4-2 essentially, with Smith-Rowe coming in off the left as an inside playmaker and Saka holding width and trying to create right-sided overloads with Lacazette. For Watford, it looks like Ranieri is still trying to figure out his optimal system, as would be expected so soon after arriving to a struggling team and Josh King’s positions and performance was the only silver-lining from an FPL point of view.
Aubameyang owners can consider themselves very unlucky to come away with a negative score in what could’ve been close to double digits on another day. He had a first-half penalty saved by Ben Foster. Smith-Rowe scored the game’s only goal from a quality finish where the ball fell to him from some pro-active Ben White defending. Josh King had Watford’s best chance late on, taking the ball wide to round Ramsdale but hitting the side netting from an acute angle when running at pace.
Key player stat review
Bukayo Saka (6.3, MID) had a close-range open goal (later ruled out for offside) that seems to be accounting for his xG of 0.68. The midfielder did create 2 chances worth an xA of 0.28 and looked bright in his performance.
Aubameyang (10.1, FWD) is an example of making a logical pick with variance working against FPL players in outcome. With the dearth of forwards on the game right now, Aubameyang is a solid pick on paper given Arsenal’s fixtures and his performances but the forward ended up producing a negative score from a missed penalty and a yellow card from a performance of 3 shots, 2 in the box, 1 of which was a penalty for a game-high xG of 0.87.
Smith-Rowe (5.7, MID) while not showing up in the xG table above, had 2 shots and 1 in the box, scoring the games only goal and is making a strong claim for a midfield spot in our teams while similarly priced popular assets like Conor Gallagher and Mbuemo also have good underlying with fairly differing outcomes (Smith-Rowe and Gallagher scoring very well, Mbuemo not so much)
Josh King (5.6) had decent underlying especially for a forward at his price. He had 3 shots, 2 in the box, 1 big chance, and 1 chance created for a decent xGI of 0.29 and might be of interest to FPL players holding Hwang-Hee Chan in a similar priced forward spot when Watford’s fixtures (and performances) turn for the better.
