FPL GW5 Review
First good week for me arrived after 4 below par GWs, but better late than never. I started GW5 planning with the wildcard option open. On Sunday, I made early transfers of Bruno and Toney to Ronaldo and Sarr and was open to activate my WC later in the week. However over the whole week I realized that I am not able to be aggressive enough in my WC hence opted to hold on. That turned out to be a great decision. The likes of Sarr, Salah, Benrahma, Azpi, Raphinha helped me get a score of 82(-4) with more than 100% OR rise to 313K
FPL GW6 Plan
Given that I have a decent playing 11 if raphinha makes it, I am most likely to save the FT. That will give me 2 FT in GW7, ahead of GW8 wildcard to get 2 one week punts. Exciting times! Quite a few things can change from now till GW 7 but the current plan is to go with both Lukaku and Ronaldo in GW7 before ditching Ronaldo on GW8 wildcard.
FPL GW6 Team Reveal
GW6 team looks good on paper with Antonio, Raphinha and Benrahma in a possibly high scoring game. Hopefully Sarr will carry on his form from last week and Jota will finally deliver in what could be his last week in my team. Ronaldo vs Salah captain decision will go down the wire but currently it’s 60-40 for Ronaldo
FPL GW6 Tips
Those who are looking for Bamford replacements, my preferences are in order – Antonio->Jimenez->ASM->King->Dennis->Armstrong
Those who are looking for one week differentials for this week ahead of Wildcard, can look at the likes of Rodrigo or even Rondon.

FPL GW5 Review
A disappointing gameweek for me. Captain Salah the only real standout performer in my side. Ben White and Ronaldo were the only other players to return. Torres not playing was frustrating, as was Jota, Gray & Lukaku looking good but not scoring any returns. But I am still well placed at this stage of the season and happy with my team going forward.
FPL GW6 Plan
My team is still in good shape. I have two free transfers in the bank so will have to make at least one change. I am looking ahead to gameweek 7 where I want to bring in two Chelsea assets, so this week I will use just one transfer to ensure I have two free transfers next gameweek to jump on the Chelsea fixture swing. With my one transfer I think I will be downgrading either Torres or Jota to make room for Chelsea players next week. With Firmino back from injury and Pep always rotating his attackers, neither Jota nor Torres can be relied on to play every week. The players on my radar to replace them are Raphinha, Sarr, Traore and some others.
FPL GW6 Team Reveal
With Pickford ruled out, my bench fodder keeper Begovic looks likely to start against Norwich so he will be my keeper. Semedo, Shaw and Livramento at the back. Salah, Gray, Jota and Torres are currently in my midfield but as mentioned before that may change. My front three isn’t changing for a while as they all love scoring goals, Ronaldo and Lukaku are nailed in every week and Antonio is back against a poor Leeds defence, so I am expecting goals.
FPL GW6 Tips
As I have previously mentioned, Chelsea’s fixture run becomes brilliant after this gameweek where they face Man City. So,holding two transfers going into GW7 could be crucial to help you jump on Chelsea assets. Also, if you had a tough gameweek like me, don’t panic, there is a long way to go, keep making good decisions and you will be fine! Good luck this weekend!

GW5 Review:
I was actually not too dissatisfied with my Gameweek. I only scored 54 points but that was with fielding 10 men. With Antonio injured I was already 1 deep into my bench with Brownhill plying again, but then Trent was ruled out so Amartey came in but isn’t starting right now for Leicester. Salah captain worked out well with a goal and an assist. Vardy in for DCL worked too as he scored a goal and therefore more points that Jiménez and Bamford. However, I did get a red arrow from 911k > 1.1m. First time outside the top 1m this season but I’m happy enough with getting through the Gameweek.
Players to monitor for me:
Chelsea and Man City both kept clean sheets again, so I’m monitoring how to get in Dias or James/Rüdiger/ Alonso at some point. Vardy will also likely become Lukaku over the next few gameweeks too.
FPL GW6 Transfer plan/ watch list going forwards:
So I won’t be making any transfers in GW6. Although my team isn’t in great shape with Ayling possibly injured and no other cover on the bench, I don’t want to play my wildcard just yet. I’m going to roll my free transfer will the option next Gameweek of using 2 frees to get in Lukaku or possibly play a ‘mini wildcard’ and take a -4 to get a Chelsea or City defender in.
FPL GW6 tips 👀
I think you’ve got to target either getting Ronaldo in this Gameweek or Lukaku next Gameweek. There also may be a headache with DCL and Bamford injured so try and focus on this first. If I had another injury in my team then I’d focus on fixing that. But with only one injury and the likelihood I should field 10 players, I’m happy to roll the transfer personally.
FPL GW6 Team:
Once again I revert to a 3-5-2 this season after wanting to play 4-4-2 this season. Brentford have maybe defensively looked better than Villa this season so far but with Bruno’s lessened attacking returns with the arrival of Ronaldo, and this being Salah’s first appearance vs Brentford I fancy him for captaincy again this week. I’ve very scared of Ronaldo again but didn’t want to do the Bruno > Ronaldo for a -4, that should has sailed I think. I’m very happy with Vardy vs Burnley at home too, this could be a nice differential.

GW5 Review
Contrary to the start of the season, it was a Gameweek to forget as injuries to Trent Alexander Arnold, and a Torres blank meant I only had 10 playing players. Despite the carnage, one positive was that my captaincy choice yet again was spot on. Mo Salah has now bagged 4 goals in 5 matches which only stresses his level of consistency over the years.
FPL Gameweek 5 Transfer Plans and Watchlist
There has been one team that has taken the centre stage when it comes to Gameweek 6 dilemmas. Leeds are facing West Ham this week and there have been concerns over popular assets like Bamford, Raphinha and Ayling as they could all miss out. However, we gained further clarity when Bielsa confirmed that Bamford will miss this weekend’s game which paved the way for an extremely easy transfer back to Antonio for me.
The other player that is biting away at me has been Torres, who is subject to Pep roulette but also plays Chelsea and Liverpool in his next two. The move to Sarr is on the cards, however, I will be waiting for leaked team news ahead of the early kickoff to make a decision on Torres.
Tips for FPL GW6 to climb up ranks
We all have been ridden by injuries this week. Thus, the only tip I can give for those facing multiple injuries is to attack the fixtures in the next two weeks if you are looking towards that GW8 wildcard. Defensive moves could seem tempting but the restructuring of your teams can be put off for two weeks while you make attack-minded transfers ahead of your potential wildcard.
FPL GW6 Team + Captaincy
This is my team for this week. It is clear that the switch back to Antonio from Bamford was the viable option. However, as mentioned before, Torres could be the other one making way before the deadline. I expect this week to be relatively high-scoring for Man Utd assets which is why I have gone for Ronaldo as my Captaincy pick. The fact that he has the home fixture between him and Salah made it easier to give him the nod and I expect an attacking Villa side to concede more than a defensively astute Brentford team.
