If you are looking for differential options(<10% TSB) to improve your Overall rank quickly, we have got it covered for you. Our differential picks for FPL GW14 features a striker, three midfielders, and a defender. Check out our top 5 differential picks analyzed with stats below!
FPL GW14 Differential picks
Pedro Neto vs Burnley(A), £5.8 TSB: 8.0%
Neto is still fresh from his last gasp winner against Chelsea and is enjoying his best season at top level football already with 4 goals and 3 assists. He put in a man of the match effort against Chelsea with 4 shots, 2 on target, 1 big chance, xG-0.60 and 2 key passes. In fact, Neto has been involved in more Premier League goals(7) than any other Wolves player this season. To put it in simple terms, Neto is the 7th highest scoring midfielder this season and has more points(64) than KDB, Mane, Sterling and Rashford.
Neto in numbers:
- Most points among midfielders and second most points(64) overall for any player under 6.0 this season- Only behind Zouma(70)
- 7.10 points per million from GW7-GW13- Highest in the league
- Neto has created 4 big chances(3rd best), xA-2.34(5th best) among midfielders over the last 7 weeks.
Matt Targett vs West Brom (A), £4.6 TSB: 3.0%
Much has been spoken about Grealish and Villa attack this season that Villa’s defense is very less talked about. To put it out directly, Villa have the most clean sheets(6) in Premier League this season despite playing two games less. Priced at just 4.6, Targett has played every minute of Villa season and is not a rotation risk. They are up against West Brom who are easily the worst attacking side in the league- Worst xG(8.53), Least Big chances(5). Targett should be the go-to-option if you are looking for a defender in FPL GW14.
Villa Defensive numbers: 3 clean sheets(1st), 35 shots conceded(least), 5 big chances conceded(4th least), xGC-4.26(3rd best) from last 5 games.
Lookman vs Newcastle(A), £5.0 TSB: 1.4%
Fulham have become a better attacking team over the past few weeks which is seen by their drastic change in numbers- 14 big chances from the last 5 games(2nd most), compared to just 11 big chances from the first 8 games. No doubt, Lookman has been the focal point of things here getting a goal, 2 assists, 23 points from last 5 games. In FPL GW14, he should fancy his chances against a Newcastle side who have conceded 5 goals against Leeds less than couple of days ago.
Lookman stats:
- 10 shots, 5 on target, 3 big chances, xG-1.79, 7 key passes, 1 goal, 2 big chances created, 2 assists from the last 5 games.
- Best xG/90 for any player this season- Minimum 500 minutes
Jack Harrison vs Manchester United (A), £5.4 TSB: 1.4%
Harrison has been a big part of Leeds attacking returns this season with 52 points this season. Fitness, high press, Attack has been always a part of Bielsa’s tactics. Leeds have more than a extra day rest(26 hours more) compared to Manchester United and Beilsa would surely make full use of this in FPL GW14. Leeds attack are always fixture proof which is suggested by their xG-22.98(3rd best), 199 shots(2nd) only behind Liverpool(203) this season. This shouldn’t be a bad transfer to make as Leeds face Burnley and West Brom in the next games after United in FPL GW14.
Harrison/Leeds numbers:
- Highest scoring midfielder in GW13 with 12 points(1 goal and 1 assist)
- Leeds have 69 shots(1st), xG-8.19(2nd best), 10 big chances(3rd best) from the last four weeks.
If you are looking at which have teams have more rest and better prepared for FPL GW14, have a look at this!
Danny Ings vs Manchester City (H), £8.4 TSB: 8.3%
Ings is back from injury and has slowly looked to get back to his groove. It looks like the best time to get the prolific saints forward into our teams. He is up against Man city which might be a tricky fixture but he loves to score against big teams and has Fulham and West Ham in the next two games.
Since returning from injury Ings has registered eight shots on goal, four on target, received three big changes with an xG of 1.91 scoring one goal. He has also registered three key passes, created one big chance for an assist totaling to an xA of 0.75. Not top numbers but of course we’ll have to be reminded that he is coming back from injury.
Ings stat attack:
- 6 goals + three assists so far this season.
- Since GW9 Southampton have scored 9 goals only Man United and Liverpool have scored more during the period.
- Six goals again top seven oppositions last season (Man city, Man United, Liverpool, Leicester, Spurs Chelsea and Arsenal)
